Myling got a bit worried willow would go missing and she accidentally forgot to have Willowpaw join the meeting so Willowpaw manifested a whole announcement late :')
Hawkbite listened contently, finding nothing to speak up on. Dawnstar had set her boundaries and laws so he'd make sure cats were following the rules. They didn't do terribly -- or so he thought. He assumed things were going to be way worse, but the clan proved him wrong at least. The Commander's ears would flick, waiting for Dawnstar to continue.

[Fogwatcher]
ShadowClan Warrior
Flock Together [T1] | Bilingual [T1] | The Collector
Fogwatcher hadn't expected to be approached, and especially not from the former RiverClanner turned Enforcer. While Dawnstar was putting her trust in them, the splotched silver and white tom was more skeptical. His tail tightened around his paws, his head turning slightly to study Rookfire for a moment. A silent stare at first, calculating his words. Rookfire was being friendly and he couldn't undermine the Enforcer so he guess he had no other option than to simply comply in a friendly manner. "Yeah, I'm Fogwatcher. You're that new Enforcer cats' been talking 'bout. Rookfire," the tom introduced both of them in a curt manner.
rookfire lifted himself onto mostly stable paws at dawnstars call, this gathering he felt considerably better than last, the shoulder was still troubling and that night still came around to haunt him when he was at his lowest, but at least the enforcer could strut up to take a place by the grimpeak with confidence instead of barely hanging onto conscions this time. leaning into brief distraction, rookfire let his eyes linger on darkfall and wispypaw for a few breaths, wondering just how much he was yet to learn about the relations of each shadowclan member, i mean, one ought to at least know who is related to who right? with a bit more curiosity, his eyes caught sight of a lithe tom he had seen with mossfreckle before and decided to find his place next to fogwatcher before he could decide it was a bad idea after all. "morning. fogwatcher right?"

roachflare had been a bit under the weather as of late, more so distracted than anything else, caught in his own thoughts.. that kind of thing.. but distant none the less so when dawnstars call echoed in the clearing and the dark tortie caught sight of mudslide, he hurried to catch up to her. "mud!" the smaller feline chirped, announcing his presence before pressing fluffy dark pelt to short brown-cream one. the sight of his friend had lightened his mood considerably and he felt like he was buzzing with energy, almost falling over while attempting to scratch a spot in the crook between neck and head. "dawnstar doesnt seem ta' be in the best mood, dont you think?" roachflare thought out loud, paying not an ounce of attention to the apprentice sat next to mudslide, in fact, he didnt even look at them.

Mudslide
She, Her\Warrior\15 moons\Shadowclan
"I miss the yellow. I miss the yellin' and the shake downs."
Mudslide had begun to close her eyes, basking in the silence of her mind like it was the sun. Dawnstar's voice was merely background noise in her head for a few moments before she focused in on it. Her mind was full of the yowls of the dark tabby before a familiar voice pulled her from her zone and made her ears twirl behind her.
Roachflare. A wide smile worked its way onto her face, lifting her features and squinting her blue eyes. It came despite her best efforts to keep her face still. How had she not seen him before? His pelt was as recognizable as a blood stained stone. She allowed him to press up against her and she leaned into him ever so slightly. She, of course, didn't want to crush him, that would be as embarrassing as it would be unfortunate. "Hi, bug," she went, giving him a light brush with her tail.
His next statement made her eyes lift to the Grimpeak. Mudslide stifled an obnoxious giggle or two. Didn't Dawnstar always look like that? She'd never seen her look particularly "happy" if that's what Roachflare was asking. "Eh." She murmured and adjusted a paw to "shield" Roachflare from potentially falling. He seemed to be doing that a lot more often now... Probably just being clumsy.
He obviously couldn't reach his itch, and while Mudslide wasn't a servant to anycat, she was always open to favors. Or, a few. So, she lifted a free front paw and batted at his itch. She didn't know where it was exactly located, so for all she knew her helpfulness had no effect. Like always. Like forever. Incapable of doing...
Mudslide blinked slowly and rolled her eyes back to the Grimpeak. Self-pity. Done. She was so done with her own nonsense. Restrictions. An attempted murder leading to murder. Flashpaw, huh? Mudslide allowed herself a moment of sympathy for the apprentice before moving on. She was alive. Okay. That's it. Leaving in pairs seemed reasonable, even if Mudslide would rather go alone out of camp than anything. Away from the noise, away from her own stupid brain. Away from those darn dragonflies. They hated her just as much as she hated them.
Why was she always missing hairballs? Ugh! Whatever, she'll take care of the two that were present.
"Mintkit and Wildkit from this day on until you receive your warrior names you'll be known as Mintpaw and Wildpaw." She let the clan congratulate them with their usual cheers while hunting down cats to mentor the pair.
"Mintpaw your mentor will be Hemlockleaf. Wildpaw, Ravenheart is your mentor." Dawnstar glanced at each warrior as she called their names. She hoped these paws would be added to Hawkbite's long list of training apprentices because of their mentors. Once the commotion for the apprentices died down, Dawnstar got up and unhappily climbed to the bottom of the peak into the clearing.
"Your turn,"She told Midnightpaw, beckoning her forward with a sweeping wave of her tail. Even through her moodiness, Dawnstar's golden orbs gleamed with her usual pride when it came to apprentices becoming warriors. Knowing the work apprentices put in now pays off was strangely satisfying.
"I, Dawnstar, leader of ShadowClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. She has trained hard in the ways of a warrior and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn. Midnightpaw, do you promise to protect and serve this Clan, even at the cost of your life?" #shcmeeting

Re: ShadowClan Grimpeak
She/her - 8 moons
Short grey molly with a darker stripe and amber eyes
There was a tingle of joy and excitement somewhere in Pigeonpaw's chest when she heard the new apprentice's name. "Mintpaw!! Wildpaw!!" It was always really fun when new faces moved to the apprentices' den, especially when she was still at the age where fresh apprentices had been in the nursery at the same time as her. Well of course, the new warrior would also be nice, but it wasn't as nice be cause it meant someone leaving the den instead of moving into it.
The grey molly called out the apprentice's names in unison. It was good to see new future warriors. It did make her a little glad her demotion was over, though. Sharing a den with two apprentices fresh out of the nursery sounded awful. How did the eldest apprentices, survive? All that noise and filth...ugh. She was quite happy to be back in the warrior's den, although her nest had needed some refurbishing. And of course, the nightmares hadn't stopped.
She spotted her friend out the corner of her eye, looking a bit anxious. The she-cat slid over to sit beside Newtbelly, giving him a friendly smile. "Doing okay?" she inquired, cloudy green eyes curious.
[ open ] FOXFURY
Foxfury watched with morbid curiosity, soaking up the strange customs of the clan. Cats killing each other? In the outskirts this was quite typical, but she supposed it made sense that it wouldn't be tolerated. They were a team! The wiry she-cat let out a faint tsking sound under her breath. She'd have to remember that. No killing her clanmates, even if they were annoying. Sad, but acceptable.
Dawnstar was calling up kittens, which Foxfury eyed with mild interest. Furballs were cute occasionally, but only when she was in the mood to entertain them. Otherwise, she found great enjoyment in scaring them out of their pelts. She grinned just thinking about it. It was character development! She was helping!
The kiddos got their names changed, and Foxfury started a little when the cats surrounding her began chanting in unison. That was weird. "Midnightpaw!" she added, a beat behind everyone else. Oh well, she'd tried. Next time she'd be more on top of the chanting voodoo nonsense.
Scarred ears pricked up in attention as a warrior ceremony began. Dawnstar asked the apprentice to swear fealty. The leader had warned Foxfury that she would have to do the same after her training period. Was it going to be just like this? Or would there be more to it, since she wasn't born here?
if fogwatcher was anything, it was certainly not happy about rooks presence, but what had he expected, it mightve slipped his mind once or twice when around cats he had familiarised himself with, but he was still new and unknown to a vast majority of the clan. "yep, im your guy" he replied with an awkward chuckle, the silence between them awkward and thick before being risrupted once again by dawnstars voice, naming apprentices and asking midnightpaw to make her promise to serve the clan, rookfire turned to speak up again, quietly of course, he wasnt one for disrupting gatherings, especially not after his recent promotion. instead, he pretended to check his surroundings for trouble makers, "how's training with birdpaw coming along? n the injury? all good now eh?" the enforcer asked before it even recognised how weird it might come across. he theoretically had the right to put his nose into everyones business, for training at least, and the warrior had been in the medicine den parallel to him for some time..but it was still more specific than he wouldve liked.
roachflare shrugged, "think she looks'a bit more upset than usual ya know?..'s not like she usually looks happy but 's a bit more angry glarin' than usual..but ya didnt hear that from me" he snickered, an easy smile remaining on the young toms face way beyond telling of his childish 'secret' opinion. mudslides assistance (perhaps she just didnt want him falling over and causing a scene at the meeting) came more or less unexpected, though he should know by now that the more reserved young warrior did have a good heart and was even more importantly a good friend, no matter if he wasnt doing well or just fighting with the curse of short legs. "thanks'muds'" he murmered, straightening up again and feeling just the tiniest bit embarassed now that he wasnt so focussed on their conversation anymore. "new apprentices, sure wonder when it'll be our time, 'been doin' the whole warrior thing for a while already hmm?"
[ @Marigoldwhisper - wish i could promise you more words next time but i dont think so actually ]

Shadekit watched in silence as two kits became apprentices, and one apprentice became a warrior. Soon that will be me, she reminded herself, feeling a stab of jealousy and impatience. She couldn't help feeling worthless as a kit. But soon... She will become an apprentice, and then a warrior, and she could be important.

The cheers echoed into the air—and Mintkit’s eyes fluttered. Oh. My. Stars. Had she fallen asleep? Mintkit—no, Mintpaw carefully blinked the sleep from her eyes, stood and scanned the clearing. There! Mintpaw padded cheerfully across the clearing, feeling grown up and so damn awesome. “Hi there! I’m your new apprentice. Mintpaw! Nice to see you. Quick questions, okay? How old are you? Have you had an apprentice before? Do you have a mate? Kits? What are we learning first? Do you know how to get involved in a crazy murder plot? Oh! And when do we start?” she asked, peering up at Hemlockleaf, then jumped up and bonked her wet nose on her new mentor’s.
Oh wait. Mintpaw turned back to the meeting. Midnightpaw still stood there, Dawnstar standing over her. One day I will stand up there, and look as proud as that she-cat. she thought.”oh yeah. By the way, I ask a lot of questions.” Mintpaw smiled mischievously at Hemlockleaf.

Hemlockleaf
Hemlockleaf sat straighter when he heard his name called, a little surprised that he was assigned an apprentice but also honored to train the next generation of warriors. This was one of the greatest duties a warrior could fulfill. He turned to Mintpaw and touched noses with his new apprentice, but it wasn't long that he wondered if this was something he could actually handle. Dawnstar would not have assigned me this apprentice without good reason. He reminded himself. He decided to take each question one at a time.
"It is my pleasure to be your mentor." He meowed cooly, careful not to disturb the rest of the meeting. "I am a younger warrior, so you are my first apprentice. I do not have a mate or kits yet." He thought carefully before answering the next question. "I will have to speak with Ravenheart before proceeding, a lot of trainings may be done as a group to comply with Dawnstar's rule. But we'll probably start with a tour of the territory." He remembered the tour being where his mentor had started, and how excited he was to explore ShadowClan territory for the first time.
Hemlockleaf wondered what that mischievous glint in Mintpaw's eyes was about, but he figured he'd learn sooner or later. He blinked warmly at her for now. "Having questions is a sign of a sharp mind." He answered. "I am your mentor now. Part of my role is to answer your questions as best as I can." Great StarClan he could tell right away he was going to regret saying that. "Let's pay attention to the rest of the meeting for now though." He flicked his tail to where Midnightpaw's ceremony was taking place.
