Alpinepaw just stared at the northern bayberry bush wondering if she should go to the Medicine Cats' Den or not.

Chasmkit looked at the Flamingclaw's body and Risingstorm over and over again. She wanted to know why he attacked him. Fortunately, she overheard Risingstorm talking to Wolfhive about it. She sat with the body, unsure what to do.

Cypress’paw was walking across the clearing, when something moving quickly on the other side of the clearing distracted him, and he tripped on a root and fell onto something - soft, and delicious smelling. He buried his muzzle into the plant curiously, and wondered what it was. Catmint… maybe? He looked around to make sure no-cat was watching, and then proceeded to roll in the enticing leaves. It smelled too good!!

Acornfall waved his tail happily at being chosen for the patrol. He dipped his head to Hollowpaw respectfully, his eyes glittering eagerly. “I won’t let the clan down!” He purred happily. He turned to his patrolmates, paws tingling at the prospect of being able to help his clanmates in such an important way.

Cypress’paw hurried over to the medicine cat and the patrol, opening his mouth to speak. “Wait! Let me come!! I seem to have a knack for finding things like that, maybe I’m just lucky.” he shrugged.

She was almost at the point of freaking out. Alpinepaw worriedly meowed as she turned to look at Wolfhive, "I did not swallow the berry juice. I tried to spit the juice out. My, it was very sour."

Chasmkit noticed that there was a fight going on between Flamingclaw and Risigstorm. Once the deed was done, she quickly bounded over to Risingstorm. Chasmkit asked, "Hello! Why did you fight and kill your clanmate? Was it out of self-defense?"

[ Please don't merge interactions that involve me unless you talk to me first; I clone Wolf frequently so issues can be addressed effectively and had established the Rising/Hollow patrol situation to have been at a different point in time. ]

OK, okay... "You might get a stomachache, but you should be otherwise fine. Just.. if you're not sure what it is, don't eat it again, okay? Some plants are poisonous, others aren't, and regardless I don't want you to get hurt."

Sandburr patches could wait, Wolfhive was more concerned about this bush. The burrs might be uncomfortable but this could kill someone. "Stay in camp, take the rest of the day easy. If your stomach hurts go to the medicine cat den."

Hollowpaw and Wolfpaw might not be able to treat a stomachache yet, Wolfhive wasn't sure. But seeking treatment was a better deal than just suffering. "I'll be back in camp later, I'm gonna get rid of this bush."

Wolfhive then went to work. Thankfully, this bush was on the smaller side and had an exposed trunk, so he could start digging near where it met the earth. It took a while, at some points his teeth and claws had to tear at the roots until they broke, and he was sure his paws were raw from the repetitive and rough motions against the bark and hard soil. But finally, after what felt like an eternity, the bush gave way and fell.

He grabbed the bush by the end of the trunk and began to drag it out of camp, glad it was more bulky than heavy. Once he was out of camp, he let go of the bush to peek back in and make sure no berries were left behind - before fully departing from the area.

Upon returning to camp from disposing the bayberry, Wolfhive sought out his Bumba in the clearing. Once he spotted her, he bounced over to join her - ignoring the sting of protest in his paws. "RiverClan's back, they've remarked their side of the river." A grimace at the reminder of the smell.

"The otters are still in the water, at least.. so hopefully if the fish wanna cause problems again they get deterred. They're kind of a nuisance but if we mark the border above the bank I don't think our cats will run into any issues, and I'd rather focus on things that directly affect us." The land predators, the birds of prey, the various stupid things that kept happening. "Oh, and I dunno how this was missed but there was a poisonous berry bush in camp. No one's hurt, Alpinepaw might have a stomachache at worse, 'n I dug it up and threw it in the river. Also some sandburrs..."

As if on cue, he watched Flamesurge commit war crimes against the spiky grass. "Or not, looks like he 'n Nightgaze got that under wraps." It was a relief, actually - one more thing to check off an evergrowing list. ".. Oh, and I demoted Beetlepaw. I didn't want to, but she was sneaking out of camp with Fleckpaw after I confined her to camp with chores.. 'n since we already got Spiderthroat's Beetlekid, I named her Thornkit for now 'cause she's a freakin' pain in my side. Her leg's currently sprained from her outing 'n she's on bed rest, I dunno if you have any more ideas for her punishment wise. Had her on den cleaning duty, she was supposed to be supervised but kept avoiding Risingstorm so he couldn't."

Risingstorm came back to camp and limped over to wolfhive "Foxes are in haggerd ruins, there's a den with three pups in it" he meowed recounting for what he saw "And one fox is dead sprout killed it, the fox was caught in a trap and had a bad infection so yeah" he finished his report
