Sparrowpelt padded back into the clearing, heading to the prey pile before heading towards the Hornet that sent him out. "Huntin' was decent, Snowpaw got a good lesson in 'n even caught somethin' on er first try. Quick learner, that one," Sparrowpelt reported, pride lining his tone. "Otherwise, nothing eventful occurred," and with that, the large warrior would wait to be dismissed before padding off.

Patrols, patrols weren't awful. And Herb patrol was definitely the better of the options. Plus, Snakepelt wanted to at least show some small support to Wolfpaw. New medicine cat, herb patrols, etc. etc. It wasn't any of their business and they intended to stay out of it.

"Alright, I'm ready."

They were acutely aware how awkward they looked with almost both paws crossed. They looked more like a nervous idiot than a warrior about to collect Tansy and Bor-whats-its-name. Not that it mattered if they knew the name, as long as they knew its appearance. Everything else from there should be a breeze. Snakepelt knew how to use their head and to pick up stems. They surely couldn't mess that up, could they? Whatever. They'd get settled out in the forest and receive orders. That didn't sound awful or difficult. So why were they getting a bad feeling? They shook off the nerves best they could and marched towards the entrance of camp.

Hurrying into camp and throwing the occasional glance behind her to make sure Copperpaw was still following, Nightgaze threw her mouse onto the pile with the rest of the fresh kill and made a b line for Treetiger and Spiderthroat. "Hiya! Sorry we're late I didn't realise we'd taken so long! Copperpaw did really well, though! Caught a mouse on his first try!" She gave an a rather unbothered but genuine apology and a whole lot of praise to her apprentice.

Truthfully, she didn't see a problem with their brief lateness since she had been teaching. Oh well, if someone was going to be grumpy then she wouldn't be too upset about a punishment for not being punctual as long as it was only her. No way Cop would get the consequences for just following her and getting a lesson! She would simply not allow it.

Cliffjumper walked back in they were slightly late with little luck on catching anything only a bird and a few mice the warrior assumed it was the otters maybe or they were just unlucky but even with a small amount of prey it was still prey right? yeah should work out the orange warrior walked in to he camp and set his prey down "Alls well 'n good spider we were a bit unlucky I think the otters had a play in it or we just went at a bad time" he meowed @Starfall

Treetiger padded back into the clearing with her catch in tow. Her strides were more confident than when they left. Her gaze settled on Spiderthroat and after dropping her catch at the prey pile, she padded up to him to report. "Hunting went decently, and it appears Copperpaw was getting a good lesson in. We did come across a beehive that's hanging pretty low in case the medicine cats need honey," she spoke, her tail tip twitching. "Nightgaze and Copperpaw didn't meet us back at the meeting point, but I figured they were just training a little more extensively or that they'd already came back. I can head back out there and check if you'd like. Maybe grab that honey. Figured it was best I brought back my prey before the predators caught whiff of 'em."

With that, Treetiger awkwardly waved her tail, waiting for Spiderthroat to say something. Would he be upset? Would she get punished? Nightgaze was a Hornet wasn't she? Surely it would've been fine if they stayed back for further training.

Just as Sprucejumper's group was getting back, it seemed as though the others were as well. Not a bad haul. Not amazing but definitely ain't bad. "Good. Drop off any fresh kill in the pile. For those of you who have groupmates that didn't show up. Stay behind and tell me who didn't participate." he hummed, eyes narrowing as he looked at each group. Surely there were a few, his own apprentice included.

"One of these moons I'm hopin my after patrol meetin will result in just me sittin here by myself. One can dream."

Alright then, he could fix this. "Violetfreckle! Come here, now!" he called out for the warrior. "Shadeclaw, Peachpaw. Sorry that Mountaintalon hasn't shown up. He informed me that he has a headache, so Violetfreckle is taking his place. That being said, I still expect you to complete your patrol with her. Fill her in, I got my own patrol to get to," the tabby tripod stated bluntly, glancing to the three of them before hobbling off.

Great StarClan, Violetfreckle didn't think she'd be yelled at by a kit at this hour. Or ever, really. And yet, here she was, grunting as she got on her paws and headed over. She snorted as she heard Mountaintalon's excuse. "Headache? What a big baby." The tabby she-cat was tired and a bit snippy, though she knew some fresh air would do her good. "Alright. Where are we goin' and what are we lookin' for? Tell me on the way there." She gestured for Shadeclaw to lead the way and waited impatiently for either him or Peachpaw to tell her what was going on. This really lowered her opinion of Mountaintalon -- not that he could get much worse from what she'd seen, anyway.

"Cattail pond, for poppy seeds." Peachpaw supplies quickly and he says it loud, because he knows Shadeclaw knows, too, but he wants to be the one to say it—even though he's got no idea what they're really setting off to do. Verbal instructions to gather something he's never seen at a place he's never been...Peachpaw keeps his shoulders squared in hopes it makes him look even a mite more capable than he feels right now.

Red flowers, Shadeclaw and Wolfpaw had said. And Peachpaw had nodded like that had explained everything but right now he's quietly agonizing over it. Are poppies the only kinds of red flowers? Are there lots of poppies out there? What if there are a lot of red flowers and none of them are poppies? How does one carry seeds?

He watches the pair, Shadeclaw and now Violetfreckle. They'll know everything, probably. He's just got to do as they do, and keep up.

Shadeclaw nods, not really saying anything. He only stands there, solemn and stiff. He was looking around for Mountaintalon, wondering where the grizzled warrior was, it was a relief that he was accounted for. And Violetfreckle? A new name. He doesn't question anything. Shadeclaw rarely questioned things when there was no need to.

Instead, he nods when Peachpaw mentions they need to go to Cattail Pond, and leads the way as Violetfreckle wants him to, glancing behind himself once in a while to see if the two are following.
