Windpaw instantly brightened up more (If that was even possible) when Littlepaw made her appearance. "SIS! HI!" She chirped, pretty darn loud, which was pretty uncharacteristic for her. But don't blame her! She was just really really excited to be at her first Gathering, and with Littlepaw, too!
The tabby tortoiseshell turned to look at her new friend again (Yep, officially considered Windpaw's friend now, whether they like it or not!), and with a slight tilt of her head, asked, "Soooo, who's your mentor?"

No, No, NO! Her sister, even her favorite, shouldn’t be getting more attention than herself! Sure, she planned on seeing her father and his ‘friends’ at some point, but she had to bother her sister! “Butterfly!” she found up to her sister, then to the two…extras. Other clan extras…she didn’t have an issue with them, they didn’t seem like they were fish. They were just irrelevant to her, as was anyone but SpiderDad and Aunty Bumble…maybe Butterfly? But that was all! She just stared at the other apprentices.

Applepaw padded out after his clan.. it wasn't his first gathering but it was still just as exciting to her! There was so much interesting things happening at the gathering if you sat still for a moment and watched for it. He also liked talking to the other cats not in his clan, a change in point of view, sometimes strange and negative in her fine opinion and somethings genuinely mind opening- though that happened rarely. Most of the time cats of other clans were just boring and sometimes talked about what they were learning and never had any real conversations-
Oh hey! There's one of their new best friends! Hollypaw! What a joy! The apprentice bounded up to their fellow, and took a quick seat at his side. "Heeelloooo Hollypaw! How are we on this, surprisingly chilly, evening?" He asked, dramatically, but in a cheerful fashion. Though at the mention of the temperature, they felt a shiver run through their russet fur. Instinctively ruffling it until it was at about twice its usual size and then pressing, without thought of personal boundary, into Hollypaw's side with a giggle.
Hollypaw had seen Applepaw approaching from the corner of his gaze, he greeted his denmate with a friendly smile "Heya Applepaw- I'm not bad- Not used to this cold though- I think it's the coldest it's been since I was born" He said, wrinkling his face with playful distaste.
He felt her press against his fur but didn't mind it all that much. It was nice to have a bit more warmth anyway, the sun did nothing but bounce off his pelt, which was great in the summer, but felt hell in the winter. He felt a shiver run down his own pelt, realizing just how cold it really was "So, how'd you enjoy your first gathering? It's been so busy around camp preparing for leaf-bare I never got the time to ask" He said with a quiet laugh, his tail swaying behind him as he looked around, before turning his bright green gaze back to Applepaw
"Shadowclan seems to be late this time- wonder what they're up to" He questioned in a hushed tone, worried if they showed up in the middle of even just mentioning them, they'd shred him right there.

Okay so maybe Applepaw made a slight miscalculation, but she was like totally sure that she was at least half a moon older and therefore- Green eyes got a playful look, “Probably because you’re a kit to me still- yet to have the wisdom of being older- hhehehe.” The “older, wiser, adult” tone that the russet apprentice was using dissolved into half muffled giggles as Applepaw raised a paw to press her face into. “But yeah! It’s probably the coldest I’ve experienced, though it’s probably because how wet everything is from the sea and stuff.”
Applepaw was happy when Hollypaw didn’t push her away. The russet apprentice was always more physically affectionate with others and it always made them so so so so so so happy when one of her friends allowed that. Her fluffed up tail wrapped lightly around Hollypaw’s back, tail tip flicking lightly against his other flank. She tried to seem nonchalant about it, but she was glancing up at Hollypaw’s face, trying to read if she pushed past Hollypaw’s boundaries. She didn’t want to, of course, but the cold makes her clingy- sue her. ( what’s suing? What does that word mean? )
“Oh! My first gathering? I had it…. Uhhhhh whichever gathering we had last.. oh actually maybe the one before that? I’m not really sure, they are all generally the same, and I end up so sleepy afterwards that I have a hard time remembering which is which. Is this your first gathering?” Then Hollypaw was glancing around, as if looking around before saying a secret, which the assessment was kind of correct but having wonderings about where Shadowclan was, that wasn’t much of a secret. Though he knew the thoughts that surround Shadowclan and honestly, Applepaw didn’t really care for them.
“They’ll come eventually- but in my opinion, nothing but a bunch of cats that don’t know the meaning ‘laying in the sun.’ No fun, work only… no wonder they’re so gloomy, you know?” Applepaw returns, hoping that it was enough to make Hollypaw more comfy around the clan that would inevitably show up. It wasn’t like they had to be buddy buddy, but Applepaw didn’t want her friend to be in fright, even when far away from any of those shadow cats.

Stonepaw stayed towards the back of the group as her clan walked to the Gathering, looking at everything they passed with hopefully not too big eyes. Seeing anything besides the scenery of Riverclan camp was really a shock, and no matter how much she stared Stonepaw felt like she couldn't fully absorb it all. Once they finally arrived and Stormstar hopped up to join the rest of the leaders, Stonepaw realized she'd have to pick somewhere to sit. The gray apprentice glanced around the clearing, feeling slightly frantic, though it didn't show on her face. Should she sit with the cats from the other clans? Or was Riverclan not on friendly terms with them yet? Stonepaw personally didn't know much about clan relations, besides the fact that Riverclan was driven out of the forest when she was still a kit... she had a feeling it wasn't a good idea to bring that up at the Gathering.
Stonepaw reluctantly decided to just go and sit by her clanmates, at least for her first time. She settled next to one of the younger looking warriors- Seabreeze, she remembered- who was more off to the side than everyone else. Maybe the center was where all the fights broke out. She'd take the silent wisdom of one of the more experienced cats, and go sit in a less crowded area. Less overwhelming, anyways.
She didn't say anything to him, but in the silence Stonepaw observed the way Seabreeze held himself. He seemed... tired. Luckily, Stonepaw felt like she had enough energy to make the walk tonight, but she sensed that Seabreeze wasn't experiencing a physical weakness. What was wrong, she wondered? Was he sad?
Stonepaw's fur suddenly spiked up, and she quickly looked away from the warrior, flustered. She was staring a little... hopefully she didn't seem too strange. If Seabreeze really was tired, she didn't want to make him feel like she was judging- that'd be ironic, wouldn't it.

Oh look at that, he almost straight up fell asleep, until a set of light paws started his way and he opened blue eyes to peer in their direction. It was an apprentice of his own clan, he wasn't too familiar with any apprentices right now outside of his own, speaking of which, he wasn't too sure if Leafpaw was attending or not, hopefully that one stays out of trouble. Back to the present, and Seabreeze didn't quite- oh wait yeah, he remembers the apprentice's ceremony now, Stonepaw. He flicked his tail, tilting his head a smidge when he glaced at the apprentice only for them to get caught staring and looked away.
"Stonepaw, right? Isn't this your first gathering? Do you have any questions or anything, I could try and clear them up for you." He offered before catching his own tongue. Well whatever, most of the time, if an apprentice isn't too rowdy, then he didn't really mind conversing with them. Half of the apprentices he's met have more sense than some warriors. Surprising, but was it really with a clan like Riverclan, as much as he loved it, it was a hot mess ( though... perhaps one could say it was improving under Stormstar. )

So Seabreeze remembered who she was... though it made sense, hearing her name from the warrior was still a little suprising. They'd never talked before, so in her mind she expected him to be completely unfamilar with her. She was glad that he wasn't, and a little embarassed that he was aware of her existence.
"Yes, it is," Stonepaw meowed simply. She thought about whether she did have any questions for a few moments, maybe putting a little more effort into it than needed, since a polite "no, i'm fine, thanks" would've sufficed. But now she had the opportunity to learn something from Seabreeze. She didn't want to just pass that up.
"Um... is there anything I shouldn't do during the Gathering? Or should do?" Stonepaw knew she was supposed to listen, which also meant staying quiet. Was there a Q&A time where everyone could ask questions? That'd probably take too long... but if everyone raised their paws, then the leaders could just call on them. In Stonepaw's opinion, a time for questions sounded like a good idea. Then nobody would be confused.

Seapaw
he/they - 8 moons - Go with the flow
He thought himself quite brave, coming here without Salamanderpaw again. Maybe he was getting braver. At least in some ways. WindClan and ThunderClan were here, but it looked like they were still waiting on ShadowClan. Hmm. Green eyes flitted around, looking for someone to chat with, till they settled on another RiverClan apprentice. One he hadn't spoken to before. "Hi!" he mewled, appraching his fellow apprentice, "I'm Seapaw! I'm not sure we've met?" He smiled, head tilted.
They were late! Mossfreckle just had to have that damn omen right before she was leaving. That led to a lengthy conversation in her den. Dawnstar probably should have sent Mistlewhisker ahead with the clan, but at the time the thought hadn't occurred to her. She was pissed about Mossfreckle losing another apprentice, but not even she was arrogant enough to risk ShadowClan's herbs, stupid omen. She had to leave Mossfreckle behind to clean up the mess in the herb storage so ShadowClan would be medicine catless this gathering.
The Shadow Queen stomped out of the darkness and onto the beach, ignoring the other clans already there. Her fur was bristled, her tail fluffed out, and her ears pinned sideways. The leader cut an imposing figure with her lips curled exposing a hint of her fangs, and the still-healing wounds lining her pelt. She quickly joined the other three leaders with a low grunt of greeting. She might have teased RiverClan about their ranks if Mossfreckle had been able to keep an apprentice longer than a few moons. In all her moons, this would be the first time she's had to demote a high rank this fast.
She noted Twilightstar's disdain for the cold, Stormstar's new injuries, and Bumblestar's exhaustion. She would have poked the RiverClan and ThunderClan leaders about their troubles if she wasn't so livid. She didn't bother waiting for her clan to finish walking in, impatience gnawed at her frayed nerves. "As I'm sure we'd all love to get home quickly, I'll start us off." Dawnstar snarled to the other three leaders and stepped to the edge of the stone.
"ShadowClan has cleared the rats from our territory and removed a large nest of snakes. Though I believe we killed most of them, I would mind your borders just in case any of them crawl over there."
"We have four new apprentices, Bramblepaw, Fishpaw, Muddypaw, and Icepaw. Two of our apprentices have finished training and earned their warrior names, Birdecho and Gutsgnaw." Dawnstar glanced at the empty place where her medicine cats would sit and lashed her tail.
"One of our former warriors, Foggymask, was executed after disobeying orders and sneaking out of the camp to meet with a RiverClan she-cat." Dawnstar's burning ambers looked at Stormstar. "I assume you've already heard about this." Since Foggymask was already dealt with Dawnstar didn't see the need to make that big of a deal out of it. She had enough on her paws as is. She merely wanted to know if that Riverrat had kept her word.
"Finally, Rookfire has been demoted from medicine cat apprentice. So ShadowClan is currently without a medicine cat apprentice. I'm expecting Mossfreckle to remedy that sooner rather than later." Dawnstar's ears drew back further as this would be news to all of ShadowClan too. Mossfreckle's had some truly bad luck with apprentices. He hasn't been able to fully train an apprentice since he's taken over for Lostspark. She'd explain more to her clan later, maybe. Dawnstar stepped back allowing the next leader to take her place with that. #gathering

Starlingcall follows behind Dawnstar, eyes wide. It should be used to Dawnstar's growling temper by now, but they haven't seen her this mad at a Gathering for a while now. As Starlingcall quickly finds a place to sit, pausing to catch their breath, it glances around at the cats nearby, especially the RiverClan cats. What will they think about Foggymask...?
