rookfire let out a shallow cough, body shaking with the pressure of it before tucking his maw under one of his forepaws as he continued to ride out the pulsating waves of pain originating from his mind. the former enforcer quietly grumbled to himself, cursing this starsdamned cold he had somehow caught right before the gathering. so, left more or less alone with only kits, young apprentices and all those that either chose to stay in camp or werent allowed to leave. he hadnt seen mossfreckle leave with dawnstar but the younger feline didnt appear to be around here either which sort of put him on edge. it wasnt like he was about to jump at whoever higher ranked cat he came across to inform them of mossfreckles overall lack of activity and help with both his training or the clan healing.
it was nothing he was going to bring up unless absolutely necesarry. he was able to handle it alone unless mossfreckle did whatever he needed to to let rookfire back into his life even if it hurt.
with a slight shake of his head, rookfire twisted around, turning his back to the center of the clearing in order to continue hiding his face beneath paws and his tail and attempt to get some rest. the wind was cool and snapped at his skin even through the thick fur he had grown to shield him from the cooling forest.
roachflare had stopped pacing a while ago before finally returning to the warriors den. bug didnt like gatherings, too many cats, it made him anxious, so bug usually avoided them as much as he could. he did this time, too, but something had put him on edge. perhaps it was a wave of his usual, more or less ever present anxiety about change. maybe he was just tired. roach has paced for a while until his paws got too cold, now the young warrior rested atop the soft moss of his nest and focussed on his own slow breathing.

ICICLEKIT he/him. 2 moons. frail, long haired pale grey-blue tom with darker accents and white markings with pale blue eyes.
[ lyrebird's lullaby active ]
iciclekit's eyes widen a fraction at the kit's snarling and growling. was this...could skullkit somehow tell that he was lying? about not being able to smell? even so, he doesn't see how something like that could be so offensive and warrant such a nasty attitude. he leans back, settling on his haunches and sweeping his feathery tail over his paws. he figures that retorting and hissing back would only worsen the issue, so he simply looks away.
suddenly, his own paws are very interesting to look at once he hears brokenkit's questions. he sounds worried, in some way - that's how he perceives it, at least. okay, well, there was a problem here, obviously. it seems he needs to adapt to the situation, aka speak more. the horror. the tragedy. at least brokenkit was quick to stand up for him, so there's that.
"..can't control it." he replies in a murmur, voice crackling as it holds the sound of skullkit. but, wait, he can control it. dang it, what's with his mouth?! gah. "fun. you should try." he suggests before his eyes slide to skullkit. wait, they were still on the topic of playing? what is so interesting about playing. maybe..he should try to understand. keyword; try. "..don't know how to play." he admits with a flick of his tail.

Larkbreeze ShadowClan Warrior
She / Her ; 22 Moons
Larkbreeze tensed as she heard Skullkit's snarl at Iciclekit. With a sigh, the mottled brown-and-white warrior made her way over to the three kits. ''Skullkit,'' She mewed, her voice firm. Green hues flicked between Iciclekit, Brokenkit, and the tom she wasn't about to let get away with his language. Not to mention that the other two kits had done no wrong. ''That's enough.''
Larkbreeze's ears twitched. ''Iciclekit, Brokenkit, head back to the nursery. Skullkit, I think a visit to Dawnstar's den is in order.'' Her reaction to his reaction will be simple. Either he would follow her willingly, or Larkbreeze would pluck him up by the scruff without warning and carry him to Dawnstar herself.
[ @phoenix // @Spookez. // @Goldkit - Hi! Due to this being the second time Skullkit has been caught being rude and using bad language at such a young age, Larkbreeze will be taking Skullkit to Dawnstar to see what the ShadowClan Leader would like to do about it o7 ]

"*gulp*o-ok"he said following larkbreeze over to his leaders den
Brokenkit
White furred Tom-kit with yellow eyes and black spots scattered around fur.
Brokenkit's eyes widened in anger as Skullkit continued to be rude to Iciclekit. Iciclekit looked very confused themselves. (Overall, Brokenkit has no idea what was going on with Skullkit themselves) "Skullkit you should be nic-" He was interrupted by a older cat stepping in. Good, Skullkit deserved to go to Dawnstar. He was being very very mean.
But, He was then filled with worry and fear. What if Dawnstar exiled him? Or banned him from food and he'd starve to death? That would be terrible. Sure, he was very very mean and needed to be punished, but he didn't deserve to have to leave or die! "W-wait I'm sure you don't need to-" His words fell on deaf ears as the two walked off to the leader's den.
He turned to Iciclekit with a very feared expression. "I really hope something super bad doesn't happen to Skullkit.. I know he was mean but.." He let out a long sigh afterward. It was best to do what THEY were told anyway, before they were punished as well. So, to lighten the mood a bit. Nudged His head in the direction of the nursery. "We should go back anyway.. Oh! Do you want to play a game? I know you don't know how but I can teach you!"
@Pheonix (We could take the roleplay to the nursery or end it here if you want!) | @Goldkit | @anika |

Hillstrider
ShadowClan Warrior
he/him | 24 moons
[Big fluffy orange tabby with yellow eyes] Purrks: Heightened Perception (Hearing)

Hillstrider hadn't really expected the sour-faced Briarsplash to actually laugh at his joke--no one ever did--so the bark of laughter that escaped her earned a surprised (and completely ecstatic) look from the orange tabby. His chest warmed, a feeling he hadn't felt since... Oh, since Mossfreckle had first invited him to share a nest for a night.
Then she was complimenting his choice of words in describing frogs, earning another jovial smile from him. "Thank you, thank you. I'm here all night." Hillstrider rolled over onto his back, taking another long stretch and exposing his belly to the sky. "And ugh, snakes. Not enough meat, too many scales. No thanks, my dude." With the mouse eaten and conversation shared, Hillstrider finished his stretch before pushing himself to his paws and shaking the dust from his coat. "Thanks for sharing with me, Briardude. We should do this again some time." Where was he going, you ask? Why, to take a nap of course!
[I figure we wrap this up here so we can start them trading prey they caught on patrol? :3]
~ BRIARSPLASH ~
stocky, large, & fluffy dilute gray tortie she-cat with goldish-green eyes; just a scratch
[ shadowclan enforcer | she-cat | 29 moons | abrasive, standoffish, loyal ]
~
Briarsplash had seen the way Hillstrider's eyes practically lit up like two yellow suns once she'd laughed — and immediately wished she could shrink in her own fur and forget it. Especially for the rather uncomfortable and unfamiliar twinge it made in her stomach. What was she doing, going and laughing at some stupid joke like that?
Well... it was funny.
Shut up. Stupid traitorous thoughts.
Before she could dwell too long on it, Hillstrider had continued talking, taking a rather luxurious stretch. Once more the sun struck his pelt, making it practically glow against the darker grass of the clearing. Briar caught herself staring, blinking as if the shine had screwed up her eyes. And as he offered to do this again, the she-cat glanced back up to meet his gaze. Briardude, pfft... There was that odd twinge again. A curt, forced response was on the tip of her tongue, a refusal or a 'no' or—
"Uh... right. Yeah."
Dangit.
Ah, she should've said no. This orange-furred warrior wasn't exactly the type she'd planned to hangout around. But then again... she hadn't necessarily hated their time together. In fact, it'd been sort of... nice, to have an actual conversation with another cat for once. And one that wasn't all dark and broody like most of ShadowClan was... intriguing. She just found him to be an interesting character, that's all. Nothing more.
Ahem.
Then, her eyes fell to the mouse carcass below. The bones had already been mostly cleaned off by their pickings. It made her gaze linger on it for a moment, almost feeling compelled to... say something more. Why? There was no point to linger. The Enforcer shook away the thought, only hesitating for a moment before silently picking up the mouse's skull. A trinket for her nest, a small gift... her first and only.
Before she could dwell on that now, Briar offered one last abrupt, curt nod and quickly turned. She never could get quite rid of that unnerving twist in her chest, even as disappeared into the warrior's den.
[ yee sounds good! ]

Swantooth is in the area, contemplating being real again. She's got to be careful...if she does this, then it'll have been an awful lot of socializing that she's subjected herself to. So much that she might have no choice but to become real permanently; a harrowing thought.
It's arrogance that has her settling snow-soft by Nightbane despite this worry, glassy eyes finding his face for a very long stare. Nothing will ever happen that she doesn't want to have happen because she is simply not the kind of cat to allow that, is her thinking. It'll be so easy to stay the course. She just has to stay it. You can do whatever you want when you never want for much.
