"Really..now?"
The forever queen raised an amused brow, briefly sniffing the air before turning her gaze back on the kitten. She could smell the missing kitten nearby, the scent of a newborn was unmistakeable. Her nose wiggled and she loosely lay her tail around Pinekit, humming. "Did...you know. Newborns... c-can't be... out of... their nests... o-or alone.. for long. Other..wise they... m-might.. get sick. So,... will you... help me... find.. your sibling?"
She offered an encouraging smile.

Foghaze bounded into the nursery. Where's Echoshade? he asked confused. He'd come to visit her and the kits. Instead, he found Nightshiver and Pinekit beside the kits. One of them was missing! Great StarClan! Where is it? @Estelle @Goldkit

Ah, the father appeared. Nightshiver shook her head with a smile. "Do not...fret. Echo..shade is... just out... for a.. walk. And p-Pinekit... was about.... to.. to tell me.. where his... sibling.. is."
She looked at Pinekit expectantly, mostly amused than upset; but the forever queen ensured to give Foghaze a quick wink to tell him that the missing kitten was alright, and not truly lost. She had long detected where the kitten was, and if Pinekit wouldn't tell them where the kit was soon, she would retrieve the kit herself.
Foghaze glared at the kit. Pinekit, what did you do with your sister? And Nightshiver, did you not know that the kits were messing around? @Goldkit @Estelle

Pinekit let out a sigh "i hid nightkit behind that rock"he said pointing his tail to a rock two tail lengths from where they were standing

Foghaze didn't seem all too impressed, and Nightshiver's smile soon turned a bit awkward. But she didn't hold it against him, he must merely be worried. She smiled hearing Pinekit admit to what he had done with his sister, and swiftly Nightshiver moved to pick the kitten up and place her back among her siblings. "Well done... on telling... the truth."
She smiled at Pinekit, before levelling her gaze with Foghaze, still pleasant. "I'm.. sorry. If that... worried.. you. Pinekit... hid her... while I bid... Echoshade.. farewell; I knew... where she... was. But I.. wanted... Pinekit... to tell.. me."
Nightshiver explained, briefly leaning down to check over the newborns again, and happy grin spreading seeing as they seemed to be doing fine. Well, the nursery was a warm place after all, there couldn't have been done any damage in such a short amount of time. And in all regards, she was happy Pinekit admitted to what he did. Honesty was an important trait. "I hope... you can... forgive.. me."
The forever queen finally said.

Ivypool came in the nursery with her mate and had silverkit in her mouth she walked to her nest and set her kit down and layed on her side and let her suckle her mate Hawkfrost layed next to her

Bonejaw sat quietly in his makeshift nest, an abandoned kit that always hissed at anyone who came close, seeming more guarded as he grew older. He closed his eyes, his head drooping slightly as he fell into a light sleep.

Foghaze breathed a sigh of relief. Of course I can forgive you, Nightshiver. I guess I'm a little over protective. But if anything like that ever happens again, Foghaze growled, looking at Pinekit. There will be consequences.
