Mossdrop trudged through the undergrowth, fury glistening in her optics as she silently padded through the forest, tail thwacking at the ferns, and an occasional tree as she glared around the territory. Another pathetic Starclan Supporter, trudging their merrie ways in Thunderclan. It was irritating. Some apprentices must be picked off, but where would one be? Out hunting, a logical thing, of course. Figpaw, was an easy target, but for now, she would wait for the perfect moment to finish the cat off, as it were. Suspicions were out of the question. She practiced emotions quite well, so they wouldn't suspect her being...murderous, bloodthirsty, and ultimately, evil. Eyes softening, so they wouldn't suspect a thing, she stopped suddenly, ear twitched as she gazed around, a huge clearing, perfect, easy way to ambush the apprentice, almost too easy. But Mossdrop didn't really care about that, didn't she?

Figpaw hopped merrily through the undergrowth, pawsteps landing somewhat heavily as he skipped along, a grin on his jaws from which a squirrel was swinging. The catch wasn't much in the eyes of most, but he was rather proud of it. Stepping into a clearing, Fig set the prey down as he scented for more.

Her cold, yellow eyes came out of the darkness, piercing the light of the moon. It's time... She had waited, for a while, and her prey had come to her, well, slightly, but their was no time to think about it now. This was going to be quick, so he wouldn't make a single sound, it was rather dark at this time, and it was perfect for Mossdrop. Getting into a crouch position, the dark brown mackerel tabby slowly slinked toward them, not even making a sound. This was easy, and Mossdrop wasn't in a mood for struggle. Alright... Eyes gleaming with excitement, she was tired of waiting. Quickly! As if on a flash of lightning, Mossdrop sprang, landing square on the apprentice's back. She wasn't going to do introductions today. Quickly, the tabby bit harshly at the apprentices neck, this would do the trick, they wouldn't be able to scream for help, and slowly bleed to death.

Figpaw let out a yelp that was quickly cut off as a larger cat bit down, hard, on his neck. Figpaw attempted to twist out of his attacker's jaws but, having not actually done any proper fight training really only ended up kicking a twig. Foxdung. He went limp, hoping that the cat might losen their grip so he could get away, forgetting, of course, how they already felt rather dizzy.
(Fig isn't the... Smartest, is he?)

(nope! could of smelled her first thing.)
Mossdrop eyes gleamed as the apprentice didn't even fight back. "No proper training...what kind of mentor does this cat even have?" She growled in Figpaw's ears, a somewhat of a warning to him. It's working! Excitement coursed through the tabby she cat. Mossdrop slowly released her grip on the tom cats neck, but still pinned him, waiting for some cat to appear, their brother. This plan was working fine and well, and all she had to do was make more cats fear her, and her ways. "This is a warning for you to be alert while hunting, some cat could ambush you." She sneered, eyes narrowed, coldly watching his movements. This was so perfect, so easy, and Mossdrop enjoyed it while it lasted. Maybe, she could toy with the apprentice, just for a bit. She slashed at his shoulder, doing it quite slowly. Slow agony was her favorite thing to do with toying with others. It was quite satisfying, and this was going absolutely perfect.

They usually didn't realize she was trying to be joking and lighthearted, so this was a first, but she said nothing more and simply feel as quiet as a big feline like her could be as they padded along through the Thunderclan territory. Just as to be expected, they hadn't really found much after padding quietly through the territory for a while and it was clear that the grey tabby was getting frustrated with their lack of finding anything, her tail lashing every now and again and a mild scowl placed on her muzzle as she continued on with Elmberry as he continued to check scents, and her too, though not for prey, for predators that could pose a danger to any of them.
"We're not going to catch anything else, this is boring." The female growled lowly to herself, though considering that she wasn't very good at being quiet, it was rather easy for the tom to be able to hear as well. The conversation earlier was gone from her mind, completely erased along with the fact that she had admitted to the tom that she wasn't a good hunter, or rather, that it wasn't her thing.
When Elmberry suddenly froze, Cormorantstone stumbled a bit, trying her best to remain quiet because she believed that this was a sign that the other warrior had found a piece of prey. Exhaling slowly, she watched him for a moment before looking away in a bored fashion, not finding interest in what was to happen next. Though her head did snap back when she heard the squealing of the creature, a look of frustration and perhaps even anger there as she saw the creature escape for him before she snorted, the tip of her tail flicking.
"Well that just about takes away the possibility of catching anything now. Come on, it's boring out here, get your prey and lets go back." Looking around, she heaved out a breath, giving up on the hope that they'd find a fox or something that she could attack and deciding it was just better to get back to camp, where it would be a bit warmer.
|
The tom had heard Cormorantstone's mutter of this being boring, but while he was searching for his prey he made no acknowledgement of it, primarily because he had spotted his kill right after. After the failed catch, he was visibly grumpy but didn't let it ruin the party completely, though when she started acting irritated about the failure, he stared at her and didn't bother hiding his annoyance with the miss. Padding towards her as he spoke, he stopped at her side, facing the other direction. "Yeah, okay." He muttered, his voice low. He stepped away from her then, heading back the way they came to retrieve his previous catches.
Typically he wasn't a cat to pout, but something about that miss made him feel miserable. It was as if he disappointed Cormorantstone, and he didn't want to do that. He wanted to exceed her expectations of a cat like him, not lower them even further. Suddenly he stopped and turned back to look at her, waiting for the she-cat to catch up. He was done being upset, it would get him no where. "Hey, this was fun. I'm glad you and I could hunt together." There was a small smile on his face as he spoke, a genuine one showing he meant what he said.
Really, the she-cat was a joy to be around. She was rough around the edges, and most of the time he couldn't tell if she was being serious or joking, but he enjoyed her company. She was different from other cats, a thrill. Looking her over, he found himself staring perhaps too long before he finally snapped his gaze away and waited for her to join his side.

All her life she had heard whispers of these majestic Clan cats, and had spent countless hours wondering over them. And now... the one standing before her was right around her size! Despite the tense situation, a scoff left her lips and she rolled her eyes. "You're a Clan cat?" she inquired, leaning her head forward as if she couldn't believe her ears. Amusement lit up her gaze and she shook her head. "I don't believe that for a second. You're the same size I am!"
The ThunderClan warrior focused on West as he spoke, clearly reading his anxious yet cautious advances. She could tell that he meant no harm, and her ears detected a hint of truthfulness to his words. Littledragon opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted by South offering her own two cents. At the comment about her size, the dark she-cat's hackles rose further, and her eyes narrowed into slits which shot over to South. "I'm sorry, I must not have heard you correctly. I'm the same size as who?" she snarled, advancing slowly on the she-cat, claws already unsheathed and tail lashing. A fierce growl left her lips, causing South to jump back just a bit, ears flat against her head and the mocking look vanishing from her face. Casting one last glare to South, Littledragon looked back at West, relaxing a bit and matching his posture. "You said you're looking for your brother? Which Clan was he a member of? I don't recognize your scent, and by your companions remarks," she paused, casting an annoyed sideways glance towards South before continuing through clenched teeth, "I don't assume you're from one of the surrounding Clans either." A thought popped into Littledragon's mind and she blinked, a shocked expression dawning on her. "Are you two Syndicate members?"
|
West resisited the urge to snap at South for being so rude, instead just flicking her warningly with his tail. He sent her a hard look before returning his gaze to the warrior cat. Deep breathes. You deal with scary cats all the time, this shouldn't bug you. The tom let out a breath as he listened to her speak, trying to stay somewhat friendly looking and sounding. However, a bit of the fear was beginning to trickle away, and he was beginning to feel a bit of the thrill he gets from taking risks. "What's the syn-" He was about to ask, but cut himself off. "Wait, nevermind. No, we're not. We're just lonors... rogues, whatever you guys call cats without a clan." The pure white tom took a long breath once again, closing his eyes and trying to picture what his brother would look like. "Our brother would be our age, he's our littermate. A brownish-gray color, and I think he's a tabby, his eyes were blue before, but they were changing into a yellowish amber color, so they must be that color now," He tried to describe it as best as he could. "We were so young when he was lost, so we forgot until our mother recently told us about him. We think he might have ended up in one of the clans, but we don't know which one." The tom left out the abduction part of their reason for coming, knowing she would take offense to that. He opened his eyes and met her gaze again, his eyes hardening in a bit of confidence.

Well considering that she had believed that she had said it to herself and that her voice wasn't actually audible {even though it clearly was}, she hadn't expected a response from him, not that she would have really cared if there was anyways. It was just not in her general nature to really care about others opinions on what she said, the only thing she picked up on really well and practically fed off of was aggression, she loved it. But considering that nothing had happened, she simply continued to follow after the tom without much more speaking, trying her best to remain quiet but ultimately failing at it to the most part and at some point stopped trying to care at all. After he had missed his kill, Cormorantstone merely flicked her tail a bit and grunted, looking away as if bored as she made her comment to him. Picking up on the agitation and annoyance that she could hear in his voice and vaguely read in his demeanor, part of her desperately wanting to pick on him for it, expound on that agitation so that maybe it could break out into a fight before ultimately thinking better of it with a low, internal sigh.
The two began to pad back to go and collect his previous catches, the grey tabby really not making any sort of comment towards him, her face stony and cold as usual, her yellow eyes focused ahead before they focused their harsh gaze on him as he spoke up. She seemed to grunt in amusement, the tip of her tail twitching.
"If you want to call that hunting, sure." It wasn't clear if she was speaking about herself not actually hunting, or if she was speaking about his inability to catch prey in front of her, it really could have been either and unless he questioned, she wouldn't say anything further on the matter and seemed to turn her attention towards camp.
"I'm guessing you won't need help carrying that back, so lets go ahead and go. I'm starving."
With that, the burly she-cat would take the lead without really waiting for him though fully expecting him to follow her without question.

Elmberry chuckled softly as she claimed that wasn't much hunting. He assumed she meant his screw up, and almost reacted negatively to her comment, but realized she was probably just poking fun and wasn't meaning to offend. Or she was, as she seemed to enjoy getting cats worked up too. He didn't mind much, though. The she-cat had the opposite affect of what she usually wanted, as she calmed him and made him happier. It was a strange feeling, but he enjoyed it. "That was the greatest hunting you'll ever witness." He made the comment quietly and grinned at her before turning his attention towards the prey that came into view.
Picking up his first prey, he followed after her as she spoke of being hungry, and he stared at her as they moved on, pausing to grab the other prey and then jogging to catch up. He noticed she could be a bit selfish, but he felt she wasn't doing it on purpose, she was just naturally a cat who thought others could handle themselves, not that she thought only of yourself. So it wasn't exactly selfish.
He wanted to speak, say something to reply to her, but two pieces of prey made it quite difficult, so he would wait until they returned to camp to start rambling on about whatever came to mind. He knew there would be something, if she was still willing to stay at his side after they returned to camp for a while. If she didn't he would understand, considering they didn't know each other very well.
(ew shortish post but oh well ^^")

Re: ThunderClan Territory
Lilacblossom woke up with a start. Why the heck am I in a grave not free in the Starclan...is this what happen's when you die in Starclan? She unsheathed her claws and dug her way out of the grave blinking at the light in front of her, she gazed around I'm in a grave in Thunderclan!? I'm resurrected... She didn't lick her fur because it reaked and was mattered in dirt when an instant ago it was clean and nice a prophecy was running through her head, one that she was told an instant ago... As daybreak falls love falls into the paws of Starclan and only your firm paws can save it.
Lilacblossom understood it perfectly fine, but leaping to her paws, she tweaked her ankle and yelped," Ouch! Great Starclan! I haven't felt pain in 24 moons!" she shook out her paw whimpering as she staggered over to a tree and slumped down.
