Pondlily looked up from washing one of her front paws whenever she heard a familiar voice behind her, and a welcoming purr arose in her throat whenever her river-blue eyes landed on her former mentor, Tuftedtusk.
“Hiya,” The blue-gray mackerel tabby greeted the Enforcer with a wave of her tail and a playful headbutt to the shoulder. “How’ve you been? Those kits of yours keeping you on your paws day and night?”
Pondlily’s voice was teasing, a sparkle in her eyes. “That Talonkit sure is lively. And I saw you watching me teach her the hunter’s crouch a couple days ago; I think that you’ll be proud to know that Talonkit will make a great hunter.”
HE/HIM • ENFORCER • 35M • SHADOWCLAN "A large & fluffy marbled tabby tom with tusk-like teeth." PURRKS: N/A
---
He would purr and nod. "Oh yes, they are quite the pawful." He rumbled with a loving gleam in his eyes.
"All my kits will be great hunters." He would declare. Spotting his youngest daughter, he would usher her over. "Yarrowkit, dear! Come sit with papa!"
Briarsplash had been absentmindedly looking for that fluffy orange pelt with so much subconscious intention that she didn't even notice Midnightsun's presence until his fur brushed hers.
Instinctively, the she-cat stiffened, whipping her head around. Who just...sneaks up on cats like that, outta nowhere!? Or, (the more likely option that she did NOT want to admit) had she just been that distracted with thoughts of a certain tomcat that made her stupidly conflicted?
Normally, the feisty Enforcer might snap, especially at this same tom who'd seemed rather bold and weird on their last interaction. She couldn't read him, whether he was lying through his teeth on all those silky words or if he just always looked and sounded like he was daydreaming about greenleaf bounties all the time. Briarsplash did not like not being able to discern one's intentions.
But right now, she was almost... flustered, to be caught off guard. The last cat who'd done something like that, simply waltzing up to her and invading her personal space as if it never existed, was Hillstrider. The same exact cat she'd found her eyes wandering the crowd for almost against her will.
Gritting her teeth, the fluffy tortie's ears flattened and a huff of acknowledgement escaped her. Not a warm hello by any means, greatly contrasting Midnightsun's honey-like voice and smile that actually seemed genuine. But at least it wasn't another flat-out rejection, eh? After that less-than-graceful noise, she turned her muzzle back towards the Grimpeak, managing to mutter out a single word.
"...Hi." Short and certainly not sweet. But a bit too worked up to wanna bother with any retorts. And she hoped it would end there.
Yarrowkit’s ears swiveled when she heard Tuftedtusk’s voice. She perked up immediately, and bounded over to him. Beaming. “I’m here papa!” She mewed happily, settling herself between his massive paws. A rare moment of happiness and innocence.
[Open, someone please help him]
The cold made him sleepy. He didn't know it did; it just did. So he woke to his mother's call, but only half awake, he bolts into the clearing. Weepingkit let out a pitiful cry as his paws flew every which way, and his face smacked into the ground. It hurts, it hurts so bad. But Momster said he had to stop crying about everything. But the hurts...
Weepingkit sniffles loudly and stifles the urge to wail to his mother. He is a big cat, and big cats don't cry! His chin wobbles and his big orange eyes grow glossy with unshed tears, but he doesn't cry. Just wait until Momster hears that he got hurts and didn't cry! After a few seconds of lying there face-planted, he attempted to stand, but the ground was slippery. His paws kept going all different directions.
"Momster! Ground broken it is, but Weeping didn't break."He calls to the hulking tabby several tail lengths ahead of him. His nose hurt and his face was cold, and he couldn't move. Unsheathing his claws helped him keep his legs steady for about a second. It wasn't long before he was sprawling on his belly and fiercely fighting back his tears.

➢ As Hollowpaw lingered with Scorpion another one of the vermin caught her eye. How many did the Shadow Queen have, dude, this was getting out paw. It was insane. The Apprentice keeps an eye on him, Weepingkit…right? Maybe…Grottokit? She hadn’t kept notes on any of their names beyond Scorpion’s. Bi-colored fur recoiling as the poor kit smacked against the earth, a wince escaped her throat as he attempted to regain his footing only to fail, again.
As the kit called for his mother, Hollow was able to confirm that this was Weepingkit. She stands, claws once more planting her firmly into the ground. Looking back at Scorpion before mewing quietly, “Your brother. He needs help, I’ll be back. Stay.” Detached but sincere, or at least the best that she could try to sound. Weaving through the pairs (or groups) or cats she finds themself in front of Weepingkit. Grabbing the kit’s scruff and padding back to his sister silently. As Hollowpaw reached the location of Scorpionkit, they set the vermin down with a huff. Sitting down somewhere in the middle of the two if they allowed room for her to do so. Ah, she should probably give this one the same advice… “Aye, Weeping. When walking on ice, use your claws. Dig them in and make sure you’ve got a good grip. It’s best to walk slow as to not slip, ya know?” Her voice low as to not interrupt any announcements that the Leader may be saying in the moment, she hadn’t been paying much attention to them anyways.
[ @Moonraven - Weeping had been snagged using the PP clause of kits being able to be picked up by older cats!

Houndkit heard the word ceremony and bolted out of Home at record speed. Turns out large fluffy paws and ice don't mix well as once the kit picked up momentum he simply didn't stop. He slid across the ground, paws scrambling to try and stay balanced. A loud, sharp-pitched bark escaped him as he let out a futile "W-wAIT NO!!" before he slammed into the Grimpeak with a loud thump.
There was a moment of silence as he slowly backed up, his entire face throbbing with pain. Houndkit blinked once. Twice. Blood dripped down his nose which he quickly attempted to lick away with little success as it sure kept bleeding. He took a few unstable paw steps back, still bewildered. ",,,Ow.." he whimpered with a huff, nose twitching uncomfortably. He took a seat, pawing questionably at his nose. Why was it DOING that!!!!!

Coyotepaw ♠ He / They ♠ Shadowclan warrior ♠ 12+ moons
Coy was more zoned out than actually paying attention to his surroundings at this point, waiting for Dawnstar to speak, but was his attention was snapped back by Owlthroat speaking.
He flashed a smile and gave a nod in greeting "Hello Owlthroat, I've been well- Been trying to keep busy and help out where I can- Cherrywood's been having me help random apprentices lately" He said with a casual shrug, his tail swaying gently over the snow behind him.
Coyote hadn't really noticed how empty the camp felt with most cat's deciding to remain in or around their respective dens. His gaze did a quick sweep of the camp, noting Wormpaw a short distance away. He fought the scowl beginning to form on his muzzle, and was mostly successful as he turned to his mentor
"Stars- I wish Honey would have told Dawnstar about my assessment earlier though" He said followed by a dry chuckle. Still awful at small talk, he didn't care all that much though "I might have even had my own apprentice at this point" He half-joked.
Frostsight slowly stood up from her curled position in the warrior's den. She took a minute to stretch, trying to fight off the feeling of the cold. While her coat was thick enough to survive the cold weather, she certainly wasn't fluffy enough to make keep out the cold for long. Still, she pushed the discomfort to the side and headed out of the den to join the growing crowd.

He relaxed in relief, they don't seem to treat him as a bother. Or maybe their just being nice. Either way he's still getting to see his first meeting. "T-thanks." he mumbled, sitting down beside the she-cat. He perked his ears speckled forward in an attempt to look more older and experienced than he actually was. He was only 4 moons old but he doesn't want to look a helpless kit.
Cowkit glanced over to the seemingly kind warrior and decided to introduce himself. He didn't wanna to be rude. "My name is Cowkit." The long-furred kitten shuffled his small paws in the snow.
