"Tch, obstacles is so true." She grumbles. "I swear, just about everyone's training is in a sorry state. Bet you we've got plenty of reassignments incoming. You remember that one time there were, like, eleven? Hasn't gotten any better." But knowing that so many other apprentices were impacted helped keep her from sinking into another self-pity spiral about her own circumstances (which had in fact gotten way, way better the second she stopped entertaining the self-pity spiral altogether, so...good lesson learned). "There's plenty of good warriors, though. You just gotta be the one to make the first move since they're also, like, shy or something. Night hunting sounds pretty cool...I wanna learn water combat and pick up something like tracking or stealth, maybe even tree-climbing if someone around here knows it." Those extra special skills favored by other clans pique her interest the hardest. She wants to know anything and everything that could give them an advantage over her.

"But first I need to learn how to swim and last I went out, the rivers were frozen over. Even if they thaw out again soon, I don't know the odds of finding someone who'd be willing to get into ice water with me. I might be able to guilt Willowtail but that feels evil." Forcing the smallest and pregnantest warrior she knows into freezing cold water...it's not that Salamanderpaw's above it, but she knows that she should be. Surely she'll find someone she feels a little better about tormenting before it comes to that. Here's hoping that happens sooner than later.

A warm purr rolled in Primroseadder's throat and she pressed her maw to Tigersplash's shoulder. ''Of course.''

Rainpaw waited patiently for Salamanderpaw to settled, sinking into her own position herself to be more comfortable. It didn't throw her off in the least, her and Ravenpaw used to be in each other's space like this all time. But not lately... But the black-and-white she-cat shook that thought from her mind. She stiffened slightly when Salamanderpaw asked about her training. How to answer this question... It was no secret that she'd seen as many mentors as the clan had seen leaders in the same amount of moons. Honestly, she was beginning to think that StarClan hated her for some horrible reason. "F-Fine." She managed. "Despite some...obstacles I think I'm almost finished." This was true. She'd been working her tail off to finish her training, and had already finished her basic training. In truth, she was capable of being made a warrior here and now. But there were still some advanced lessons she wanted to take. "I want to do advanced swimming, basic first aid, and night hunting first." She mewed, a bit of an excited trill to her voice.

Rainpaw wasn't worried about her sister being made into a warrior before her. She knew that Ravenpaw had a lot of things she wanted to master before being made a warrior as well. But it should be soon... Besides, having to sit vigil in leaf-bare was more of a punishment than a prize. She shuddered at the thought. "How about you?" She asked, turning her head to look up at Salamanderpaw as she blinked curiously. "Do you have much left to go? Anything special you want to work on?"

Irisdream's good whole ear rotated as she heard a familiar pawstep approaching. She turned and smiled at Duskleaf as he joined her. "Of course." She purred happily. She too had noticed that she was spending more and more time with Duskleaf, and truthfully she didn't mind. He was a refreshing presence for her as she began to explore who was she was now, and she figured that they had quite a bit in common. Both of them were severely misunderstood creatures, and Duskleaf seemed to be just as hard on himself as she was if not moreso (if his tree-sleeping was anything to judge that by).

"Slid over any ice lately?" She asked, the tease clearly in her voice as her eyes carried a hint of mischief. She was, of course, referencing their recent...er...adventure on the ice. Stars she wished she block the memory if how foolish she must have looked. Her fall still haunted her, and part of her wanted But...she also didn't regret it. It was time she had been able to spend with Duskleaf, so in her mind it was time well spent. They had...fun.

Tigersplash's head turned abruptly when he spotted Primroseadder. He waved his tail to her and cast a smile before rising to his paws and padding over. "Want to sit together?" He asked, waiting for her answer before he actually sat down. Just because they watched the last meeting together, he didn't want to make assumptions.

Softsky padded over to Tigersplash, noticing another she-cat with him. What...? She thought, confused. Then she shrugged. Maybe she's just a friend. Hi Tigersplash! She mewed softly, and glanced over at the other she-cat. Hi, I'm Softsky!

So, this was the cat that Tigersplash had been hanging around? No wonder he didn't seek her out anymore! Well, besides for just now, obviously. ''Primroseadder,'' the warrior mewed softly in reply, wrapping her thick-furred tail around her paws and shifting to make some room for the other she-cat.

A feeling---Primroseadder didn't know what it was---wormed deep in her chest, as she found herself wanting Softsky to stay away from Tigersplash. She pushed it away, reminding herself that her mother---Almondchatter---had new kits. Primroseadder spared a glance at the nursery to see if her mother or Songwave had emerged yet, but she didn't see either of them. So, she turned back to the other two.

''So, Tigersplash, what have ya been up to lately?'' Besides not hanging out with me anymore. She purposely left that last part out, but her ears flicked, betraying her hurt.

Talonpaw pads out of the apprentices' den, fluffing up his pelt against the cold as he makes is way to sit below the Seastones. He hopes that he'll be a warrior the meeting after this one. All he really needs is his assessment done.

The large gray tom huffed, perking his ears as he heard the leaders call, immediately making his way over. He wasn’t around many cats, but he wasn’t secluded in the very back or such, just no…direct friends. He couldn’t blame anyone for distancing from him though…but- hm…maybe Wisty was near? RowanMane immediately started to look around for his mate, a hopeful look in his eyes.

Tigersplash smiled as Primroseadder agreed, though his ear flicked in embarrassment when she pressed her maw to his shoulder. He wasn't sure why, but it was...disarming. Then Softsky joined them, and a purr rose in his throat. It was a brief moment, but for a heartbeat he felt...unsafe. Tigersplash shifted so Softsky could sit next to him, somehow instinctively wanting to keep Prim and Softsky separated. "I'm sorry, I didn't realize I hadn't introduced the two of you." He meowed, although...he wasn't sure what he'd introduce Softsky as at this point.

Tigersplash's ear twitched in response to Prim's question. Even though she didn't say it, that seemed...a little too pointed. "Nothing...especially interesting." He answered, casting a quick and apologetic glance at Softsky. He wasn't sure how to introduce her, what title to give her. So talking about the time they spent together was...difficult. How much importance should he give that? He wasn't sure as to what Softsky thought or felt, and so he didn't want to speak for her.

Tigersplash rested his tail next to him where he was anticipating Softsky to sit, inviting her to sit close to him for warmth. He remembered that she got cold easily. "I'm kinda hoping for an apprentice from this meeting." He admitted, taking his heterochromatic eyes from Softsky, to Prim. Suddenly, he wondered if this had been wise. "It's been kinda quiet around for me...but I hear you've been keeping busy training apprentices!" There! Hopefully that would make Prim feel a little less...annoyed with him. Although something in him still felt like he was in danger.

Primroseadder wanted to ask why he had hesitated, but thought better of it. She glanced at Softsky, eyes narrowing thoughtfully. ''I'm sure that if Owlstar doesn't assign an apprentice to you at this meetin', then she will at some point,'' She meowed, doing her best to reassure the tom. ''And until then, you can always help me with Mosspaw.''

The RiverClanner rolled her shoulders. ''You betcha. Helpin' train the apprentices takes my mind off of somethin' if I'm unhappy, y'know?'' She swiped her tongue across the pad of one forepaw and ran it along her ear. ''Mosspaw and Sunpaw are doing especially well. Riftpaw, too. His combat trainin' is comin' along real nicely. I took Eaglepaw and Starrypaw out for some water combat, Lilacpaw [ @/newo ] out for some swimmin' and huntin' basics, Crowpaw out for swimmin', huntin', and fishin', and Turtlepaw out for some huntin' basics and stealth.''

Softsky nodded happily. I love training Featherpaw! She said smiling. I'm sure you'll get an apprentice! She mewed to Tigersplash, giving him a friendly nudge. How could Owlstar not want to give you one?

"Oh yes...I remember." Rainpaw sighed. She's pretty sure she was one of them. But thankfully, talking about training felt better. "I agree, night hunting sounds like a helpful skill!" She purred. "But Ravenpaw is more interested in the advance combat lessons than I am." She admitted, one of her white ears flicking timidly. "I think she's aiming to be a Lionheart someday..." This was an assumption, but she was certain she was correct about it. After all, she knew Ravenpaw like no other.

"You may have to wait for the ice to melt a bit before you can do swimming, but maybe you can ask Brokenstream?" Rainpaw suggested. "He taught me swimming and fishing! He's super nice and he's the head Lionheart now so you know he's skilled!" She suggested, blinking upwards at Salamanderpaw again. "Actually, yes! Caveclaw gave me and Ravenpaw a lesson in stealth!" She purred happily in answer to Salamanderpaw's question. She wasn't trying to brag or anything, she hoped it didn't come across that way.
