Fallensky shivered as Fleetpaw's nose touched hers, but a sudden warmth flew through her. Energy surged in her claws as she licked his ears affectionately. It's okay, Fleetpaw. She murmured, a soft purr rumbling in her throat. Her ears perked as the tom explained to her that he had an idea. Fallensky sat down, her tail curled neatly around her. She leaned forward, watching his next moves. I understand. She nodded, her eyes narrowing as she watched him dig. "Can you knock it out?" As soon as the words escaped Fleetpaw's maw, the newly named warrior was back on her feet. Straightening to her hind legs, she pressed herself against the 'fence', her muscles trembling with effort. This part is almost broken! She exclaimed, her face twisting in agony the harder she pushed. She huffed as she thought about what her mother's kitting must have been like, except ten times worse. Keep digging! She urged, forcing herself to put a smile on her face for Fleetpaw's sake.
{ @Luna16 - Fleetpaw }
Was Deadmoon improperly distracted? Yes. Yes she was. But was she going to put much effort at all into stopping being distracted? Not a chance. Vinesmoke and Wildpaw were hanging out, her favorite tunneler (sorry Crowtooth) approaching the apprentice with a smirk on his maw. A teasing one. She couldn't hear what exactly he was saying, her ears weren't great and they were a good distance away, but she could see their faces. It looked.....it looked like Rookscreech had. It looked like she must have, when she was with her dearest friend. The teasing, good natured tone that must be coming from his mouth was one she knew well.
For a moment Deadmoon debated approaching them. She could tease, or chat, or.....something. She decided against it, in a shocking moment of sensibility. She'd have drawn back from Rookscreech in an instant if any of their clanmates had come over to 'chat', and while what Vinesmoke and Wildpaw were up to was in no way discouraged by the warrior code as her friendship? had been, they would probably react similarly. Bashful young cats, and all that.
So, instead of harassing them just a tad bit, Deadmoon settled on mucking about with something far enough from the crowd that she could still keep an eye on them. For.....reasons. There were strange, twoleg boxes on trees, and Deadmoon went after one of them. It was.....hard. Crunchy against her claws, and bending only a tad as she slashed at it. She tried again. Small white slices of the box peeled away, and Deadmoon just......kept hitting it. Eventually her claws broke through, and stuck there. Yanking, she managed to free them from the box. She hit it again, scoring a few, long scratches into the side of the box. It...flashed. The box flashed, a bright light, right in her eyes. The heck? Retreating, Deadmoon glared up at the box balefully. Well now she really wanted to destroy it. (open)

[86/100]
The landscape had changed within the course of days, the moon casting a grim outlook for their territory. He was terrified quite frankly, the poor youngster had a bad case of the nerves. But despite this determination shone within his eyes, he wasn’t about to let any of his clan down. He had to prove himself, he just had to. Cottonpaw’s ears craned to listen into Twilightstar’s words carefully, he couldn’t see any twolegs now, he hoped it would stay that way. Tear and destroy, he could do that. But what to target, the monsters looked too intimidating, nothing much the youngster could do to scare them away. But he didn’t want to just rip up more string as he had done before, Cottonpaw wanted to cause some serious inconvenience to these furless creatures and send them packing for good.
His wide frightened eyes locked onto a towering frame, clearly built from trees. But no tree he’d ever seen before was square in nature. Jutting out at angles, it was enormous but perhaps Cottonpaw could topple it? Without a moment of hesitation further he approached, finding a smaller similar structure next to it. His head tipped, fur still prickling with nerves. Maybe if he could bring down the smaller frame he could work out how to topple the bigger frame. He wanted to work fast, do as much damage as possible and get out of here, his nub of a tail was an anxious mess. But his small black nose pressed into the wood, it was definitely wood, but had a foreign smell like it had been soaked in something sickly. He remembered Twilightstar’s words about being careful of what he put into his mouth and decided against biting into it, plus he was sure there would be others here soon to help.
The youngster remembered how Leechscar had toppled one of the odd poles last time they came here, but this wood was a lot thicker. However the sentiment should be the same surely, maybe they just needed to dig deeper. ”C…c.can someone help me?” His voice came out so strong it surprised him, the meek youngster usually rarely heard. But his voice carried clear through the disturbed hills. Then he began, paws wordlessly moving at the base of the wood, scooping and hitching the dirt. He’d only dug before in snow, it seemed much much tougher, the apprentice’s creamy fur turning black. He longed for the assistance of a tunneler right about now, not only to help him dig, but to help soothe his frayed nerves.

As he got closer and closer to the twolegs’ den, Ashpaw wrinkled his nose in disgust. He had already smelled some twoleg scents when he was still an outsider, but this was way more horrible than what he had ever smelled.
Looking around, he saw two small monsters — compared to their average size — lying there, lifeless. It was almost as if the twolegs were the ones making monsters live. Other cats were starting to attack the monsters, and some were damaging… strange things.
Hearing a cat calling for help, the ginger apprentice looked over. Well, that’s my call, he thought. Approaching the cat, he realised it was a grey-ish Cottonpaw. Seeing he was digging, Ashpaw started doing it too, uncovering more of what seemed to be… what exactly? A square tree, he realised in amazement.
“What do you want to do here?” he asked to his… could it count as a brother? They did share the same mother, but it was still strange to qualify him as his brother.

Wispshard was nearly about to give up and raised his head back uphill, but another Windclan warrior pads towards his presence. He puffed for a moment as he attempts to regain some energy, with his gaze continuously focused onto these Boulder-Draped-Thingamabobs.“…Thank you.” He panted as he spoke. But two cats aren’t enough to get rid of these Boulder-Draped-Thingamabobs. He needs more clancats, sufficient enough to atleast get rid of them. But how? Throwing them into the deepest of the abyss? Or just dragging them away from the forest? Destructing these Boulder-Draped-Thingamabobs is just impossible, not even a whole clan can manage this!
With his energy finally recovered, he sees Hawkfur and Rabbitleap approaching him and Lichenshock, whose also here to aid. He silently nodded in grateful approval, but still, not enough cats. He looks back around the cats whose already busy demolishing the twoleg objects. Especially Wildpaw, whose breaking the bulldozer… or maybe just ruins it anyway.
Then the deputy steps forward, and they’re already starting to pull the tarp of these Boulder-Draped-Thingamabobs (He kinda considers this word as one of his favourites, supposedly.). He joined in as he bit into the smooth surface as careful as possible, just to make sure none of his fangs are being damaged. Only one cat left, and we’re all good.
Lastly, another tomcat came and helped the pull. It wasn’t that easy to pull, though, but he can already feel the heavy object ascending from their fangs. “What now, Crowtooth?” He muffled to the deputy as his teeth are still digged into the tarp.
Heathernose followed her clanmates to the mess the Twolegs had made of this place. Stars above what the heck- she was immediately drawn to the small red light given off by some bizarre Twoleg contraption. Who knew what passed through their minds really? The pale brown she-cat batted at the box warily, trying to see if it would bite or fight back, but it only shifted. Eyes narrowed as she focused, she tried to find how it was stuck to the pole, looking for a way to detach it.
[OPEN! She needs help lol. @RomanticMangoBear - not sure if you wanted to toss Lightnight into this lol?]
Fleetpaw followed closely behind Twilightstar, honestly somewhat shocked to find his paws leading him this way, but at the same time he couldn't stop. Not because he didn't feel like could turn tail now that he'd come this far, he physically couldn't bring himself to turn around and go home. No matter how badly he wanted to. He looked up at Twilightstar as she spoke, swallowing hard when she dismissed them. This was it. He noticed Vinesmoke first, but before his paws could carry him over, the tunneler was going for the things in the ground with the boxes strapped to them. That alone wasn't what gave him pause though, it was that Vinesmoke was now working with another cat, another apprentice he thought.
Well...now what? He didn't want to be weird and approach and established team! Then his gaze caught a familiar form. And before he knew it, his paws were walking him towards Fallensky. "F-Fallensky." He meowed softly, reaching forward to touch noses with her instinctively. He realized then that his nose probably felt like ice, shuffling his paws anxiously when they pulled apart. "S-Sorry...I-I know...m-my n-nose is...quite c-cold..." He mumbled his apology before looking up at her, casting a glance at Vinesmoke and Wildpaw. They seemed to have it under control over there. "Wh-What...s-sh-should we...work on?" He asked, hoping he wasn't being too presumptuous that she wanted to work with him at all.
He looked around, not sure what they could work on. But he wanted to work on something where he could put his tunneling skills to use. Then he noticed the fence. "I-I...have an...i-idea..." He meowed, nodding towards the fence line. Fleetpaw padded up to it, digging swiftly through the snow until he uncovered where the wood was buried into the ground. The ground here is frozen. This will be challenging. Unsheathing his claws, he started to methodically dig around where the wood went into the ground, careful to set the dirt he dug up and clump it together to keep it from falling back into the hole he was digging. He continued to work around the wooden pole, trying to dig it loose. "C-Can...can you...k-kn-knock it...out?" He asked, looking up from his task to look at Fallensky, hoping she was picking up on what he was trying to do.
Lightnight sent Fernpaw off to help with the chickens. Seeing Heathernose and this odd shifting box. The large tom padded beside her. Usually rounded eyes narrowed in concentration. He gently batted the box. Wondering what would happen. Lightnight gave the box a small shove.. "What the hell is this thing? I think it's a.... light pole... gosh what are they called. Something lights" Lightnight murmured. Looking at Heathernose he mewed. "Oh... I only know because my brother... his names Crow. He's a loner" Lightnight admitted. He'd save hisbrothers.. tragic story for after

Fernpaw looked at Ashpaw. The quiet tom batted at the square tree. "Its a... ... uh.. square stump? But it's light" Fernpaw mewed as he pushed it. Seeing his mother Heathernose and Lightnight he saw how they pushed it. "Its... we can move it" Fernpaw meowed. He leapt onto of the box. Diging his claws in he punctured holes. "Its hollow. There's nothing it in but some dirt

| Lightningstorm | 26 Moons - WindClan Medicine Cat Flock Together [Tier 3] - Active | Mind Reader - Active | Dreamwalker - Inactive | Katty Krueger - Inactive
The spotted calico kept her distance from the wrecking site, her sides heaving as she had just run to camp and back again to make sure she had enough herbs to tend to any injuries here. Despite her experience as a battle medic, having been present in almost all violent altercations with tools at paw to help any injured ally make it through the worst of the fight, she worried here tonight. Having heard the leader's call after the meeting, she had joined not to fight - that was not her job, she had a much less glory seeking role within the clan - but to provide support. With the unknown threat of the Twolegs and that ghastly, disrupted prophecy still sharply etched into her mind, the medicine cat had decided one medicine cat was enough. She wasn't certain what might happen, but if one of the two healers was to die, she would take the hit.
It wasn't long before yowls met her ears, and Lightningstorm turned her attention towards the half destroyed moors the twolegs had begun to stake a claim to. Could clan cats really fight off these intruders? Minks, foxes, even dogs... these were all creatures that to some level she could understand. Their ways were different, they were large and scary, but their motives were always clear. Twolegs were different. Their ways made no sense to her. The area they had destroyed had been filled with prey. With life. That was gone now, and with their usual monsters in place, the battle was one that seemed lost before it had even begun.
The herbalist pawed the ground nervously, sending a silent prayer to StarClan despite herself. As always, she hoped her presence here was needless. That there would be no injuries to take home with them. Leaf-bare was still upon them, and with this loss in territory gathering herbs would be all the more difficult even when newleaf finally melted the snow away. But things were never that simple, and there had yet to be a battle in which her expertise was not necessary. With a sigh, she attempted to soothe her tense muscles. She would need to be calm once the storm hit.
| Letting everyone here know that Lightningstorm is going to be taking care of injuries from this event in this thread, as she is present as the on site battle medic! Because of the nature of the event, I will be trying to heal all injuries in one post and assume power play for the healing of said injuries. If your character would for some reason not allow themselves to be healed, let me know in other under the injury form! As always, please post a form alongside your character needing aid so that I know out of character what I am dealing with and can make sure Lightningstorm has the herbs on paw to handle it! |

Cottonpaw lifted his head in a smile as help had arrived. Fernpaw and Ashpaw, he wasn’t familiar with Fernpaw but he knew Ashpaw’s ginger fur and that was a familiar sight. ”I..I.I t.think Fernpaw’s right, w.w.we can move it. I.i.if we p.p.p.push hard enough.” He looked back towards the square tree he’d been digging at the base of that made up one of the beams of the chicken coop.
They all got quite far down now, paws muddied and hard worked. He gave a nod toward the others before putting his backside into the trunk, pushing as hard as he could with his might. But it didn’t seem to budge even an inch, he stepped back and let his yellow eyes wander up the shape. Alongside being firmly in the ground it seemed to be tied together by some sort of metal string. Bound into something that looked like a prison, but with metal instead of sticks and twine. ”I..I.I think w.we h.have to pull the m.m.metal off, it’s h.h.holding it t.t.together.” His voice was quiet this time but seemed to carry louder in the night’s atmosphere. With Fernpaw and Ashpaw it felt like he was capable of doing this, it felt like he didn’t have to be as terrified.
Branchfur came here expecting some twoleg activity, but not… this. The brown she-cat stared at everything with worry before noticing some small, black boxes on the “fence”. Taking a trot towards the fence line Branchfur spotted Sixfoot already taking care of one of the black things by hitting it until it fell. Inspired by the feat Branchfur decided that the best course of action is to jump and claw into the thing to pull it down with her weight.
(D20 rolled a 12)
Branchfur shot upwards from the snow and landed her paws squarely onto the black box, after making a few terrifying sounds when it was teared from it’s perch it fell and with it, Branchfur. A yelp escaped Branchfur as the mysterious box landed on her back, the pain reverberating through her back, and Branchfur promptly shook the thing off, though the pain still lingered. Looking around Branchfur wasn’t sure if she should bother a medicine cat over this.

"I'll go look!" Sneezepaw said quickly. They were eager to help do something, so they weren't going to back down no matter how strange the monsters were. And they wouldn't need any help, either, of course! Without another word, they hopped down to the ground to see what they could find.
One of the things that jumped out at Sneezepaw right away was the creature's strange paws. They were round, black things with indents all along the edge. Sneezepaw shoved at the relatively flat outer end, but the monster barely budged. It was so strange, being able to stick to the ground without having any claws to dig into the earth. It also didn't help that it seemed to be attached to and weighed down by yet another monster.
Okay, enough stalling. Sneezepaw took in a deep breath and dove into the shadows under the platform. Maybe, like cats, monsters' weak points are their underbellies? Sneezepaw rolled over to look above them. It was hard to see much of anything, but from what the apprentice could tell, it was mostly flat, aside from some bones(?) surrounding its torso. Nothing particularly useful. Sneezepaw aimed a kick at the monster, just to see if anything would happen, but they only ended up with some sore back paws.
Although, it did seem to move more than when Sneezepaw was on top. They didn't want to come back empty-pawed, so they would have to say that much, at least.
"Hey! So I think--ow!" (Without thinking, they had tried to stand up under the monster and hit their head.) "That, um, this thing's pretty strong, no matter how you look at it. But! I think it would be easier to push the monster over from the bottom than the top." They emerged from underneath the creature to look up at the warrior and see what progress they had made.
