Outside! While Hawkbite was as silent as a shadow, his new apprentice, took great joy out of bouncing around in the snow uncaring about the loud crunching noises he made. His attention was drawn to the tracks crisscrossing in the snow. There were thin small-clawed prints and the bigger round prints that were cats. There were some big prints with claws tipped on them. He immediately stuck his nose in them to sniff then licked it and wrinkled his nose in disgust. It tasted bad.
Before he could ask his mentor what the prints were, he found a rock. He quickly veered off the path, all his attention immediately fell to the rock. He quickly dug up the rock and picked it up in his maw. His ears stood tall when he heard Bite's distant meow. Hey! When he'd get the far away! Weepingpaw bounces through the snow, finding his mentor's paw prints, and hops through them to reach the tom, rock in maw.
By the time he reaches his mentor's ankle, his smoky breath bellows out of his mouth behind the rock clenched behind his fangs. He was cold but also super warm there was so much to see out and do here. He listens to Bite as best he can while walking and trying not to drop his rock. So lots of trees, and what was the Dawning Woods? Wait! They moved? Weepingpaw had to stop and drop his rock to ask. "Move? Why?" He grabbed his rock to keep pace with his mentor not wanting to be left behind.
[Awesome sounds good to me]
He'd have to keep an eye on this one, clearly. He'd acknowledge the rock in his mouth with a simple twitch of his whiskers. If that helped Weepingpaw stay on track, then he wouldn't complain about him carrying a rock. He'd just have to put up with the complaining later if Weepingpaw's jaws got tired. "We moved because before you were born, the humans invaded our territory. They pushed us further into the woods. Your Mother found us a safe location towards the far end of the original territory. Everything except the Mourning Ruins will be new. The Mourning Ruins have been with us for a couple generations now," Hawkbite told him.
The Commander would stick closer to Weepingpaw as they pushed through the snow in the territory. Some areas were deeper than others, just from the tree layout. He'd offer help and push him out of banks if needed, but kept a steady pace along the way.
Hawkbite led them past a big landmark, not wanting to risk Dawnstar's wrath just to show his apprentice it. So, from a distance, he'd point out a ruined building that stuck out against the forest. "That's the Mourning Ruins over there. The last place of our original territory. We have an owl problem, so when that's resolved, I'll bring you by. For now, we'll look from a safe distance. It's a good area to go to if we ever needed to escape the camp, again," Hawkbite informed the younger feline before moving on to an area they needed to be cautious in.
This area held thinner snow. The ground turning into a crunchy marsh as they trekked along it. "And this is Dakrwater Mire. We have to be careful here in the warmer moons. The ground becomes more water, and predators like to wander through here," Hawkbite spoke before gesturing towards the bushes that lined some of the area. "Those bushes are dead right now, but in the warm moons, you need to avoid them. They have poisons. The berries on there are called Deathberries and just one berry can end a cat," Hawkbite warned Weepingpaw with a sterner one. "So, we don't get near those, any questions so far?" The Commander would pause on their walk to give the apprentice a moment to look around and talk.
Cougarpaw shifted on her paws, hanging her head. ''Uh...Quietraven? I don't know how to hunt yet...'' She muttered, ashamed. She should know this by now! But it wasn't her fault Brightstripe had never trained her, either. All Cougarpaw had training-wise was a territory tour from Hawkbite and a stealth and tree climbing lesson from Flytail.

"Don't worry I've hunted before." Shadowpaw beamed. Shadowpaw stalked the land looking for prey and found herself not being able to track any scents. Hm... Well she went with her go to in time of hardship. Frogs! Truth be told they were her favorite food so she was hoping to be able to eat on at the end and she liked getting muddy. Win win.
Going to the swampier area she managed to get three frog and a thick mat of mud on herself. Hehe... She would clean herself off outside of camp but for now she enjoyed the heavy feeling of mud.

Coyoteblossom looked down toward Peachpaw, tilting his head as he heard the younger tom's question "Mm? oh- uh yeah, I'm Coyoteblossom, Peachpaw, i assume?" the new warrior asked, tilting his head as he looked over at the tom.
He'd seen him around a couple of times in the apprentice den before his ceremony, but they'd never actually interacted before now "Thanks- I bet you'll get a cool warrior name too-" Wow that was weird, stars... would he never improve with small talk? Probably not.
Coy's attention turned to the other warrior, Wispshatter, they assumed. They bowed their head in greeting "Hello, I'm well, yourself?"
After all the painful small-talk they finally filed out of camp, keeping close to each other as they headed toward the darkwater mire.
The large warrior had taken the lead in leaving, though left room for Wisp to take over. He just wanted the small talk to be over. The rosette tabby silently examined the territory around himself as they walked along. He hadn't been out of camp much since his ceremony, so it was nice to get out and stretch his legs.
(Sorry for hopping here and also sucky response x3 i'm tired as heck today x3)

everyone was here now? awesome, awesome. peachpaw eagerly follows after their patrolmates, nose scrunching up as they approached the mires. jeez, this place is just so..so CREEPY. didn't three cats die here just a few moons ago? shivering, the tabico glances around the landmark. even the light snowfall failed to make it seem any less spooky. there were probably ghosts here. "jeeez..just gotta find those herbs and get outta here," he mumbles.
gaze sliding to wispshatter and coyoteblossom, he flashes a grin. "aaallllrighty! I dunno 'bout you guys, but I'm headin' over there." he says, jerking his head to the left of the group. "let's meet back up here. see ya!" with that, the apprentices skedaddles off in his own direction.

Coy nodded padding off in a separate direction... What were they getting anyways? Borage and moss right! He hummed softly as he padded along, his gaze sweeping carefully over the ground as he sought out the purple-y flowers Silentpaw had told the patrol about.
His eyes lit up as he noted a bit of borage, he carefully picked the leaves, doing his best to not pierce any of the leaves, which was proving a bit difficult with his overgrown teeth. He let out an annoyed snort as he felt some leaf liquid drip onto his mouth, he hoped whatever drops he ingested weren't toxic, though knowing these herbs were used to help the clan, he doubted anything bad would happen. He selected a couple of bunches, deciding to leave some for a later date.
Moss... Moss moss moss moss... He looked around, noticing some on the base of a tree. Ice and snow kept a good chunk of it stuck to the tree but he managed to claw a couple bunches off with his claws. He awkwardly shifted the leaves around between his teeth to be able to carry the moss along with it.
Once he figured he'd gathered enough he went back to find his patrolmates. Was he the first one back? Hm- Hopefully everyone else was doing alright... He noted that Wispshatter hadn't seemed to even follow them from camp, worry filled his thoughts for a moment... had he gotten lost? grabbed? worse?
Coy sat casually, his mind twirling into a worried spiral, this was his first patrol, would he have to report it instead of the other warrior? and in that case... what would he say? Would he get in trouble if he returned without the other warrior? Stars... this was stressful.

let's see...moss 'nd borage! where the heck could they be?, peachpaw wonders as he travels further into the mire, eyes peeled for the herbs. honestly, he's surprised any herbs can even grow in these temperatures. but, hey, that's pretty cool of the plants, honestly. they had to be tough as heck to grow in the snow of all things! he wonders if he could grow in the winter if he was a plant....anywho.
moss is the first thing he finds, bolting over to it as soon as he spots it. he grabs a few clumps of it, nose scrunching at the cold snow dusted on the top of it. eeeeck, his teeth!
focus, peachy!, he reminds himself, gaze sweeping about the mire. luckily for him, it doesn't take long before he spots the purple-ish flower. he's about..very sure that it's borage, so once he's approached it, he plucks it. with the herbs gathered, he makes his way back to where the group had originally split off. he's not too sure where wispshatter went, but he's sure they're fiiiine.

What the heck was a hooman and why were they invading? Weepingpaw found himself enthralled in the little tale Bite shared with him. However, he did have a lot of questions to ask. He grabbed his rock as they began walking again, discovering quickly that the snow was a liar. Some of his attempts to keep pace with Bite left him swimming in the snow when he veered off the set path upon seeing something interesting.
"What hooman?" He asked after he lost his rock in the deep snow bank and needed rescuing. "Can I bite? taste good do they?" They must be strong if they manage to drive Dawnstar off. If he ate them would he be as strong as Dawnstar then? The idea of being stronger than Momster was absurd and quite frankly impossible to the young cat, being as strong or at least stronger than everyone else made more sense to him.
Once free from the snow, his teeth kept knocking against each other and he couldn't stop shaking. Uncomfortable he latched himself to his mentor's pelt, attempting to press his chilled nose into the tom's fur. It made walking harder, but he was cold so didn't care. His head lifted and his eyes were drawn to the strange structure in the distant Bite called Morning Ruins. Why was it named after the day and how come it was ruin? If it was ruined how can they use it as a camp? He was exceedingly confused about that place, but with his mentor's promise to take him later, he'd save those questions.
As the snow thinned out, he was able to wander a bit further away from his mentor and straight to the bush. His attempts to steal a twig from it were dashed after Bite's stern warning. He backed away from the bushes with a small pout on his maw. Weepingpaw wasn't exactly sure what poison was, but it sounded very bad. "No eat bad berry, Weeping won't." He told him.
"Frog here?" He asked, he had heard those strange-looking prey lived in places with water and mud. "Frog catch want I," Momster said frogs were prey ShadowClan often ate that none of the other clans did, but Weepingpaw never tried one or seen one. They sounded fascinating. While waiting to go, he sniffed the air and circled in search of something new he could stick in his mouth. His teeth were starting to bug him again, he needed something to bite.
Lightstreak padded out from the trees. She looked around and spotted a mouse swiftly slamming her paw down on it. "Pretty good hunting here, huh?" she meowed cheerfully.
(Sorry @nyx for making you wait! I had stuff irl.)
She walked through the forest with the she-cat and a big smile on her face. Tinywolf rose her mouth and opened it to let the scents flood into her senses.
(rolling d20: 11)
The smaller she-cat ducked into the shadows under the trees, eyes searching for what she scented. She prowled through the bog, her paws steps soft but direct. A stripped dark grey paw shot outwards and hooked the slimy creature with her claws. She pushed it towards her and killed it with a sharp bite.
Tinywolf carried the frog towards Lightstreak and buried it nearby. Her eyes sparkled goodnaturedly. "That's because your white as snow! You can easily hide in leafbare." She teased, stepping into the warriors view.
(I'm sorry for the late post!)
