· · ────────────── · · "I fear you may bore a hole in the ground if you continue to glare at it so harshly." Came a low voice, closely followed by the Deputy's looming form. Mistlewhisker regarded Mudslide with an impassive gaze, flipping through some thoughts in her head. The Enforcer was hard to read, even for her, but Mistlewhisker had found herself appreciating Mudslide's stoic, reliable nature. It reminded her a lot of herself, when she was a younger feline.
Mistlewhisker picked up the bird she had put down before speaking, crossing the final few pawsteps before placing it down and settling on the other side. "I will not finish this myself. Care to share?" Even if Mudslide was hard to read, Mistlewhisker knew the look of someone who preferred to be alone than to be with others. Mistlewhisker herself had found solace in solitude and was proud of her independence. But then she became an Enforcer and found a group she truly belonged in. She half-hoped Mudslide would find that too. Though she wasn't reccomending Enforcers based on who could use a good couple of friends. Mudslide won that honor by being consistently reliable and level-headed. What did she think of her promotion, Mistlewhisker wondered?

"There's blood in the water. The quiet are restless, the silent are still"
Mudslide watched blankly as snow fell, her own inner thoughts dulling out as she became more aware of her surroundings. The chill of leaf-bare was a wake up call, that's for sure. She had half forgotten that she was out here for a reason. Even if she wasn't exactly sure what that reason was. She figured Enforcer's had to be constantly observing the clan, but she much preferred beetles over any cat. Well, most cats.
The low crunch of snow beneath paws made her muscles stiffen. The noise only got louder, so she lifted her gaze, but not her head, pale irises looking toward Mistlewhisker. She nearly stirred from her sudden appearance, chances are she would've jumped a bit if she hadn't lost her train of thought.
The deputy's comment was sarcasm, obviously, but Mudslide didn't respond. It wasn't exactly something that needed a reply. And then she got really confused. Maybe Mistlewhisker just didn't have anycat to share prey with, but Mudslide doubted that. She was the deputy, wasn't she? She'd have to have some form of social standing, right? Why couldn't she ask anycat else? Mudslide didn't exactly like to talk, or be acknowledged. So why was she here? Maybe Mudslide had a habit of looking sad and soggy. I'm gonna have to work on that. Mudslide thought, her mind buzzing.
But, Mudslide nodded without protest. She wasn't exactly starving, but a bite wouldn't hurt her. She wound her tail around shaking paws before she leaned slightly and nuzzled the prey with her nose. It was already somewhat eaten, but she expected that, her mind just took note of it. She took at most two bites before she retreated to her previous stance, jaw quietly working to chew through meat.
She figured Mistlewhisker had something to gain from this. Nocat really talked to Mudslide, not that she minded, unless she had work to do. There was no other foreseeable reason in her mind.

Quietmouth sat, looking for something to do. He'd been getting more used to chatting recently and was hoping for someone to converse with. Looking around, he saw Wintergreenpaw sitting off to the side, alone. He went over and, with a purr, sat down and nodded his head to the warrior.

RoseDove sits with a hard look
on his face, staring at the camp

longing.
He wished he could go out but him
being him, he refused to go and ask
a clanmate because that would be
awkward and he didn't want another cat
up his whiskers.
But he did want to speak to someone.
Not that he wanted to admit that.
The pixie-bob flexed his claws in the
dirt, making small canyons under his paws
as he sighed heavily and looked around for
someone to talk to.

Newtpaw's eyes widened as the she-kit fell to the ground, and he raced over to her in panic. Are you alright? He mewed, as she pulled herself up. I'm... I'm so sorry! He exclaimed, nosing her as if checking for injuries.
Frostkit shook out her fur. She was fine. "Y- yeah I'm alright . . ." She mewed. She sat down on the ground. "A- And it's not your fault . . . i- it's because of my stupid leg . . ." she grunted. She hated that her leg that had been injured hindered her ability to do stuff.
