A dream? Heronkit’s lazy eyes narrowed into slits, his boredom shifting into sincerity and curiosity. And it’s bad? He heard a lot about dreams and their meanings, sure, but he couldn’t imagine experiencing one by himself.
He didn’t laugh at her. He didn’t even raise an eyebrow or tilted his head. He just looked at her, as if they have a serious situation they must solve. He might be too young for having this exact kind of feelings, but focusing on his age isn’t the case.
It only takes mere seconds as his stare slowly slides away from his sibling’s face, all the way to the walls of the nursery behind her. He wants to know more about that so-called nightmare. He wants to understand everything about Lichenkit’s perspective towards the dream. “What did you dream?”

"This is where i'd put my sanity!" "IF I HAD ONE."
The silence seemed to stretch on for an eternity. It had only been a few moments, but Lichenkit finally looked at their brother. It was a relief to see his usual stoic expression, without a hint of mocking humor in sight. They exhales softly. They really must be tired, if they expected Heronkit to laugh at her. They doubted Owletkit would, or least not in a cruel way.
When he asked what the dream was about, Lichenkit's green eyes quickly darted around the nursery. They only relaxed when they saw that their mama was not nearby. She leaned close to Heronkit, voice barely above a whisper, "I don't remember all of it, and I'm not sure where I was, 'cause it was so dark. But Heronkit, there were these birds. And... and..."
Lichenkit paused, finding that she was on the verge to tears again. They shook their head, as if that would shake away her emotions. With her voice wavering, she continued, "They were hurting each other. It was so sudden, but one of the birds was fighting the others. I... I think they wanted to kill. Please don't tell Mama or Papa about this. Or the others, unless they promise to be quiet too."

The silverpoint queen paused her grooming and looked up, her ice-blue eyes narrowing against the sudden darkness. Nettlesnout's familiar pelt became the focus of the queen's vision, and she let out a delighted trill, her tail waving behind her.
''Nettlesnout! You've returned!'' Mountainspring exclaimed, giving a friendly purr. ''I'm glad to see you. Why don't you settle down in your nest and I'll find you kits, all right? They'll be thrilled to see you.''

NettleSnout felt weak and too sick to eat. She was glad to be home, silently she thought she might never leave camp before a voice interrupted her thoughts leaving her to glance up and see a familiar pelt, none other then MountainSpring. NettleSnout felt herself relax at the sight of the silverpoint queen, she felt more at home seeing a den mate. “Oh MountainSpring..” she purred but it was weary. At the mention of her kits she slowly raised her head and glanced around, “I appreciate the offer, thank you.” She gave the queen a soft and appreciative smile as she shakily laid in her nest. Home felt nice..

Speckledpaw brightened up seeing the kit, smiling. "Actually no I'm here to bring copperkit back. How about it Copperkit? tomorrow I'll come back and teach you some moves and we can play mossball hm?" He grinned at Copper, looking at Sprucekit. "You're welcome to join us too Sprucekit!"

The white and red tabby kitten walked into the nursery. It was boooooring in camp and it'll just be boooooring inside. He searched with his amber eyes for something actually fun to do when he saw her. "MOM!" he shouted, pelting over to the familiar face in a heartbeat. Yewkit bounced on his paws as he starting blabbing non stop. "Where'd you go? You just left? I thought Cherrykit, Badgerkit and Woolykit went with you! Where are they?"
He hadn't thought about it much ever since they left but now that it's out his mouth he paused his ramble. Did she leave him? Yewkit's face fell a bit as he waited for an answer.

Alone from hearing the dream’s scenario, Heronkit felt even more confused. Why would she ever dream about three birds battling around, and how could she forget the majority of it, albeit she actually dreamt about it since yesterday? Heronkit would rather experience one by himself, just to understand reality even further, if not then just a bit.
He waited and glanced at his sibling while she’s attempting to finish off her final sentence. Lichenkit is trying to hold back her tears, and a hint of pity is written on the tuxedo’s blue eyes.
Heronkit shook his head as she mentioned not to tell anyone else. “No, I won’t. Promise.” He also looked around, only to see his mother greeting another queen. She might be too busy to keep up with anything she heard from them. The kitten then wapped his tail around Lichenkit, just to reassure her after all of the chaos she experienced during her sleep.
Whatever he just chomped was pretty furry, oops it was mother. He wiggled himself forward into her soft warmth, cooing and gurgling in an attempt to make some sort of word towards her. But he couldn’t form anything, not yet.
So instead he outstretched his tiny paws, using them to gently bat and prod at her side. Looking up attempting what sort of looked like a wonky smile. He could smell dad too, his head swivelling in an attempt to show him the smile too.
Every time one of her kits moved even an inch, to Wisteriawren it seemed the most delightful, most adorable thing in the world. She couldn't help but melt with sheer happiness at Pikekit's small paws. The grey queen tilts her head upside down, laying her forehead against the ground, cheek nuzzling against her son. She still couldn't believe it. She had three sons. They were her sons. So perfect and beautiful- er, handsome? They were three little beauties to her, anyway.

It was strange, how talking about something they felt was so terrible made Lichenkit feel better. Not a ton, but being able to tell another soul about the dream without being laughed at or worried over was a relief. Lichenkit's shoulders sagged, a wave of tiredness washing over them. They didn't know what the dream meant - there was surely something different about it - but Heronkit's small touch and promise made the perceived danger feel far away.
"Thank you." Lichenkit exhaled. Oh, but what if she accidentally worried Heronkit with all of this? It wasn't fair to tell him this, when she wanted to avoid telling her mama about it. "Sorry for worrying you about something silly."
Upon seeing her kit, Yewkit, she felt her heart ache for him. Had he been alone this long? She slowly reached out to him to draw him closer, gently grooming his ear to bring some familiarity to him. Between licks she responded, “Yewkit..I never meant to be gone for long. Nor have i seen them..” She lowers her head to meet his gaze, “Yewkit I’ll make this promise to you. I will never leave you like that again. I want you to know i am here for as long as you need me, okay? And as for your siblings i will try and find them, we are all family after all.” Her soft amber eyes studied his, becoming more equanimous as she spoke. NettleSnout never meant to leave but she wanted her kits to know what family was, not growing up alone and without her support, after all they only had one another.
