[WindClan] Moonkit's Guide for Growth (Finder)

Hello kind folks!
Marvel at the wonderous and weird creature that is..... Moonkit!

As we know, kittens have to grow up at some point, and try as she might, Moonkit is certainly no exception to this. I'll be making her an apprentice soon, and wanted to get a few of her needs met before doing so.
Moonkit is quite special, to say the least. She has more emotional needs than her peers, and I am in need of a support network for her to function as a member of Clan society and to keep her happy.
Now, what's so special about this moony-eyed little creature other than the fact she looks like she sees the future? I'm so glad you asked!

Moonkit is almost strictly nonverbal, and communicates in gestures and sign. She can understand when she's spoken to just fine, but finds it hard and painful to try to form words and sentences herself.
She has a very, very hard time accepting change and new things. Adjusting to a change in expectations is going to be very hard on her, and it would be nice to have someone ease the transition into her responsibilities.
She forms abnormally strong attachments, and will designate one or two people as her "safety nets". They're the people she reaches to first when she has to do something new, and the people she follows around and copies.
She doesn't understand social queues or norms, and doesn't like following rules that she doesn't understand or don't make sense to her. Things need to be taken apart when explained to her for her to decide a rule is worth following.
She's extremely sensitive to.... A lot of things, and will have a hard time coping when she's overwhelmed. She desperately needs to be taught how to regulate herself and how to appropriately react to things that upset her. Touch, sound, and smell are all things that can cause her to lash out.


Needs and Requirements
"Safety Nets" 0/2 - cats she can reliably count on to be there for her when she needs it most, and will constantly be asked that they accompany her when she goes training or does a chore. She will begin to mimic these cats and their mannerisms, possibly even absorbing part of their personality.
Can be apprentices or warriors, as long as you're willing to be dragged into new role plays.

Mentor - 0/1
Not nearly as intensive as her safety nets, but it is preferred that this cat be willing to adapt to her specific needs and work with her. It isn't required that they spend time with her outside of training, but doing so will make getting Moonkit to pay attention a lot easier.

Guide - 0/1
Someone that she can safely ask to break down things she doesn't understand. Rules and tasks and why certain things are done the way they are, ect. Will probably be an elder or older warrior, but does not strictly have to be so.
This role in particular is subject to change in it's expectations and may become more intensive than originally planned to be, but I will talk to whoever has this role to grow the dynamic between the two.

General friends and companions - 1/4

Other cats her own age that she can play and learn with. No special requirements, but I do want her friends to be close to her age.



I will of course ask anyone who is put under important roles before ever dragging them into a roleplay.
Moonkit is very special to me, and while she was not originally intended to be this high maintenance, I also do not wish to bowl over the things she has developed since I started role playing her.
I want to approach her in a way that is sensitive to the subject and is given time to develop, especially due to plans I have for her in the future.

I have two Windclanners at the moment:
Dreamheart - Warrior, she has an apprentice called Squirrelpaw. (Calm; Cool; Collected; Reserved; Gets anxious over ridiculous things sometimes; Has a big mean streak when angry; She enjoys running and spending time with loved ones.)
Ferncurl - Dreamheart's sister, she is a queen. ( Quiet; Sincere; Honest; A bit of a neat freak at times; Hates being wet; The only family she has is her littermate (sister); Likes to 'pretty' things up. She isn’t very good at being punctual or anything though!)

Either of these characters are available for one of the roles, if you like. I honestly don't mind.

I have Echokit for a friend, or best friend, or possibly even a safety net.

Echokit

She is a cursed child. With what, you may ask? Echo's Curse. Just like in the greek tale of Echo and Narcissus, she can only speak after someone else has spoken, and can only repeat back the last words of what was said. Eventually Echokit might get frustrated with her incapability to communicate effectively, but she'll learn to accept it over time.

Because of this, I could see Echokit trying to learn some form of sign language. Maybe they could learn it together!

Echokit would have a strong sense of quiet stability that Moonkit could lean on in the future. She's going to be close to a select few cats, and Moonkit could be one of them. She'd be extremely loyal to them, being more open and relaxed around her friend group. She has a sense of fun and adventure, and humour, so that could be interesting as well. Echokit will definitely try to help Moonkit as best as she can, not running away when Moonkit gets frustrated and lashes out.

She will definitely side more with her friends than anyone, and defend them even if they got into trouble. She has a rebellious streak, which could to lead to future shenanigans.


Overall I think it'd be really interesting if they could interact and form a close bond!

I like the idea of Ferncurl and Moonkit meeting in the nursery. As is, she's kind of an orphan that's being taken care of primarily by one of my own cats. Mayhaps Moon sees Fern as a motherly figure, this making her well suited for the guide role. I'd like to role play it out ahead of time, but I can also see Moon trying to play big sister to any children Fern has or adopts.
Moon still has a few weeks in the nursery, so I'd love to do a meeting role play between the two to establish their connection!

Moon and Echo sound like they'll get along splendidly!!
Moon is also a feisty little creature, always on the go, go, go!! Until her social battery runs out and she needs time alone. Even if the two clash a bit at the start, she'd understand what it's like to not be able to communicate, and would want to help Echo find her own voice. (She just has to deal with the scatterbrain on top of it all lol) @snowflake.

Love it! Also thanks, I love Ferncurls name too Well, Fern can be a motherly figure and a safety net for Moonkit! Or a guide. She doesn't have any kits of her own yet, so she'll love Moon and dote on her like she was her own kit. I think they'll get along well; Ferncurl is quiet and very loyal, so she will stick with Moonkit through thick and thin.
