[ThunderClan] Get In The Water!

The ice is melting. The river is flowing freely once again. Otters are back at Smallpines after a humiliating defeat at Stormstar’s claws, and this time they’re out for blood. Their first target? ThunderClan.

A small ThunderClan patrol has been attacked and driven off at Smallpines by a trio of the beasts. The event is reported back to Bumblestar, who has to decide between asking RiverClan for help, or figuring out how to handle them on their own despite no prior experience. Stooping so low as to request the assistance of the fish isn’t something she can bring herself to do - figure it out themselves it is.

TIMELINE OF EVENTS

This has been provided so you know how we plan to navigate this, approximately how long the initial portion of the plot will last, and what the danger level of each plot point is so you can decide whether you wish to involve your current characters or fashion a throwaway.

Keep in mind that for these attempted attacks, Killer Aptitude does NOT apply to otters on ANY tier, nor should your character have knowledge regarding them beyond “oh, that’s an otter”. ThunderClan has never handled them at any point in the memorable past, and otters are not included on any tier of Killer Aptitude.

If your character participates in an early attempt and comes out injured, they will not be permitted to participate in a later attempt.

FIRST ATTEMPT

• Following the initial ransacking of the Smallpines patrol, and the resulting Clan meeting, Bumblestar formulates a plan in an attempt to show these otters who’s boss.
  
  
• Danger Level: Extreme!
  • Your character will come out of this severely injured and also has a high possibility of perishing. Apprentices, unless of adult age and sporting at least three instances of non-basic battle training, are not permitted to participate.

SECOND ATTEMPT

• This follows the closure of Smallpines and the formulation of a new plan.
  
  
• Danger Level: High
  • ThunderClan has a slightly better understanding of how these things fight, but they’re still dangerous. There is a lower chance of death during this confrontation, but it’s still a possibility for afterward if your character slips up or sustains major injury. Resulting injuries are still going to be nasty. Apprentices are not permitted to participate.

THIRD ATTEMPT

• One last ditch attempt before they need to start seeking other possibilities. At this point, the otters have begun to encroach on RiverClan’s territory, posing a threat to their side of the river.
  
  
• Danger Level: Medium
  • Unless your character is REALLY stupid, they’ll probably be better off than the above. This ends unconventionally. You’ll get more information as a participant once this draws closer. Apprentices are not permitted to participate.
