Morningpaw sat near the edge of the clearing. He looked around. He had just come back from watching Blackjaw and Mosstangle spar, so he wanted to practice some of his fighting moves. He had popped into the Apprentices Den before, and was now waiting on Pinepaw, and maybe Shiverpaw if she wanted. Flicking his dark, brown and black tail, he scanned the clearing with sharp amber eyes.

@Crown_Sage (Up for a sparring session, Pinepaw?) @Watson. (You down for some fighting, Shiverpaw?)

Lynxfur groomed her pelt. "Ugh! How did i get myself all messy?" she asked herself.

midnightpaw layed againsed a fallen tree log. " I should probably take a nap." she said quietly

midnightpaw wakes up to see the darkened sky. " How long was I asleep for?"

"Yawn, Ive been asleep too long." midnightpaw walks towards the pond.

The pale-furred cat jumped from a large bush, having been hiding.
Her tail flicked nervously against the ground as she stood there, not really thinking she'd be that good of a fighter.
Again, another skill that's been neglected by her mentor. By all the stars in the silverpelt, why such a mouse-brain would be choosen as her mentor?! She still can't stop herself from holding a grudge against Dawnstar.
Well, it is what it is, isn't it? "Uhm... I'm not a very good fighter, but I'll try," Shiverpaw mumbled, barely loud enough for Morningpaw to hear.
Yes, she can't dissappoint them, not so soon. It'd be a shame, and maybe a mistake she wouldn't easily forgive herself.

Morningpaw jumped slightly as Shiverpaw appeared from a bush behind him. His ears twitched at her mumbled statement, and he grinned relaxedly. (Is that a word lol ) "That's fine. I want to practice some new moves I saw my mentor and Blackjaw doing; I won't know how to do them properly anyways!" Standing up, he stood in front of her, in a relaxed, ready position. "Pinepaw might come later, so we can start. Whenever you're ready, we can just do a basic spar."

A bit of relief lifted some unseen weight from her shoulders. Just a basic spar? This didn't sound awful at all.
The small apprentice got into a 'fighting stance', not very different than a kit about to start a playfight.
Even though both Morningpaw and Shiverpaw were about the same age, the size different was crystal-clear. Shiverpaw still hasn't really outgrown her kittenish height.
Still, a good start, sort of. Ready, poised and actually protecting vital organs from attacks such as a belly rake.
Shiverpaw awaited for Morningpaw's attack or taunt, preferring to defend herself before it starts.

[Shiverpaw has disadvantage of small size, so if you want Morningpaw might use that to his advantage.]
