Chestnutkit had no guess as to how it went. He just hoped he didn’t have to leave camp as an apprentice, too. “Never leavin’ camp again,” he declared, shaking his head. “Too scary.” Turning his head back and forth, he looked for Spottedfeet’s sister. In his mind, all siblings were like his own: together and close. “Where your sister?” he asked, turning back to Spottedfeet, head tilted with curiosity.
Big fat Ooc section: poor chestnutkit:[ he don't know how it works... also imma be honest im gonna rewrite spottedfeet or something cuz i forgot the dementia part in all the rps i had with her so far Ngl. Or maybe today was just a very good day for her mind? idk or from now on the dementia starts or the dementia is really bad with The topic of her sister(whom is dead) uhhhhh idk I don't care it's freaking dementia time . OK nvm I figured it out it's a progressive disease so right now it's not too bad yet she just struggles with dead cats rn but later it'll get worse there
She shuffled her paws a bit. She didn't really remember-as she didn't with a lot of other cats who just seemingly dissapeared from her life too-but she thinks her sis passed on? She can't really remember, but she'll go with that, and obviously she can't tell the little innocent kit infront of her that, so she'll need to make up a lie. Or just go tell him to ask his mom, which seemed easier.
"Hm', uh'... Maybe' you could' go ask your' mama' 'bout that?"

[ hey! this seems like a good stopping point so I’m gonna end it here, I’m currently drowning in rps but we can have them interact again in a week or so if you’d like! ]
Hm, go ask his momma. Maybe Chestnutkit would do just that. “Okay!” With a big smile, the small kit picked up Waddle and waddled off.

Elder {} Tom (Intersex) {} Tuxedo cat with orange patches and long tail {} Creative, Helpful, Kind
The elder's colourful tail slid from side-to-side across the den floor, only peaking out from under the lichen covered entrance every now and then.
He was in the process of sorting some shells that the apprentice's had gifted him, but the process was far from efficient. Why was this? Maybe it was the fact that the tom couldn't help but stop at nearly every shimmering piece. It chewed through time, to shift the shell into the filtering sunlight and gaze at its wonderful shine, but to Rainbowtail, it was time well spent.
He currently found himself tilting a sharp fragment with his paw. Its inner shell was a dull rose colour in the darkness, but in the sunlight it gave off a remarkable orange and yellow sheen. And, with the right angle, an unnatural turquoise flash could be seen over the top of it all.

Sprucekit
|| She/her || 5 Moons ||
The tortoiseshell took a tentative step into the Elder's Den. Sprucekit had never really gone in before, and it brought with it a strange sense. Almost like she shouldn't be in here. After all, for all her life she had been relegated to the Nursery. Yet, she was to be apprenticed soon, and that meant helping the elders. So she pushed past her nervousness, and looked around. At the very least, she should make her existence known to the old cats.
Pale green eyes landed on Rainbowtail, recognizing him from around the camp. Once again, he had a bunch of stuff, but wasn't building anything this time. Collecting things seemed to be a hobby a lot of Riverclan cats had. At least it made for a good conversation starter, because Starclan knew she would have trouble thinking of something else. She padded forward, her voice small as she asked, "Did you collect them all yourself?"

Rainbowtail flicked his ear and turned his head to face the newcomer, giving a purr of greeting when he realised who it was.
"It's a pleasure to see you, Sprucekit!" He chirped spryly, gentle smile stretched across his muzzle. The tom looked like an elder, moved like one too, but he always spoke with the vigour of a warrior fresh out of their naming ceremony.
"Not all of them, few of them actually." He responded, shuffling them back into a pile together. "The apprentices found most of them, but I hope it was because their beauty is hard to miss and not as an excuse to avoid their responsibilities." The elder put a paw to his muzzle out of habit, knowing he'd gotten a few cats in trouble with his previous requests. They were harmless, but the clan needed to survive more than they needed shells. He could only hope he had the appropriate judgement to delegate his requests among the clan properly by now. "Though... well, I do appreciate them still very much, regardless."
After sifting through the pile of shells and shell fragments he found what he was looking for. Rainbowtail dipped his paw down and pushed out a small, thin piece of a shell towards his granddaughter. Despite curling slightly it was still almost shaped like an ancestor of Starclan, with a hole in the off-centre of it.
"Here, move this one into the light."
{ It's based it off an abalone shell, so you can look up that for what it'll look like in the light but I'm leaving that fact ambiguous since I don't know the shells of Maine lol }

Sprucekit

There was a brief moment where Sprucekit felt utterly mortified. Was she supposed to bring something for the elder? If the apprentices were bringing gifts, then she should be too. She wasn't much for collecting things, but surely she would be able to find something suitable. The kit let out a sigh. Next time, she would have to come with something extra special.
"I'm sure they did it because you would like them." she said, eyeing the new shell. The tortoiseshell gently prodded the shard, almost as if she expected it to bite her. It didn't, but she swore she saw it glimmer. Letting out a quiet 'huh', Sprucekit prodded the shell towards a ray of light streaking in from the entrance. She blinked in surprise as the opalescent shard shone under the sunshine. "How does it do that?"

The elder's eyes glowed at her reassurance, but his face really lit up when she pushed the shard into the light. The magnificent sparkle of its surface reflected onto both the cats, adding spots of light to their own already-colourful pelts.
"I don't know." Rainbowtail answered. Instead of being lost with his response, the elder's voice sounded confident, almost to the point of laughing with joy. Even at such a point in life he was still happy to not know what he was looking at, and simply enjoying being awe-struck by the magic of what it was.
"What I do know, is that this shell perfectly matches your gorgeous green eyes, Sprucekit!" He chirruped, gently pushing the piece closer to his Granddaughter. "Here, you should take a few pieces with you to the apprentice's den. I'm sure it will make your nest look beautiful." Rainbowtail moved his other paw to spread out the rest of the pile, an array of pretty, colourful shards and shells lay strewn across the den floor.

"Thank you." the words were said out of instinct. Sprucekit was nothing if not polite with those older and wiser than her. As the words began to sink in however, a sense of trepidation returned. Oh the shells were beautiful; seeing the light catch on their pelts and the floor below was something she had never really seen before. Yet, to just giving it away because she thought they were pretty? "But... They're yours."
The tip of her tail flicked as she thought through it. Was refusing more rude than accepting? Sometimes cats offered something with the expectation of a reward in turn. There was nothing she could offer for now, though. Oh, but he did say that they could be used for her future nest. In that case. "Once I can leave camp... Maybe we can trade? I'll find a really nice she'll, so you don't miss one."
Palekit scampered into the elders den. This is the elders den. He told Brightkit. It's where all the old cats are. HELLO! He mewed. This is Brightkit! Who wants to say hi?

Brightkit poked his head into the den at first, his nose scrunching up at the new scents as he stuck close to Palekit quietly. "O-old.. cats?" he remarked, ears flicking curiously.
