Mallowswarm

Bumblestar was calling a meeting. As Mallowswarm slipped out of the warrior's den and settled beneath the Stormcrest, she tried to remember how long it had been since there had been one. A moon? She could make a guess about what had taken her so long; the leader was probably still mourning her son. It may have been moons since Wolfhive died, but she was his mother. Mallowswarm still thought about him more than she should, and she was only his apprentice. Losing a family member was so much harder. She knew; her family may not have died, but she had never quite managed to pull herself out of the rut she had been left in after their disappearance.

No matter how quiet it is; no matter where you’re from; no matter what you’re doing; you are never safe from the duck that is Quackpaw. The quacker terrorizes without mercy!!!!!!! In her dreams, that is. But Quacky jumped out of that dream as soon as she heard Bumbly. Bumbly Bumbly Bumbly it felt like they hadn’t had a meeting in AGES! As the quacker tried to regain her balance after having jumped out of a little impromptu crash-out nap, her ears perked up. Hehehehehehehe that MUDDY she heard!!!! MUDDY! Well she had been wondering why the big hornet had bern a little quiet lately! “Muddy-buddy Muddy-buddy Muddy-buddy!!” the missile launcher may not be launching missiles, but she did launch herself at Muddy’s direction; y’know, maybe that was the moral of the story; maybe she was the missile afterall and she was just launching herself at her targets.

“Yea! C’mooon, I wanna be there to hear it!” sure, she’s just gonna pretend like she knew what the ‘thingy’ was! Cause she’s smart and she definitely remembers whatever that is. Whatever, a new day is a new chance to talk to her Muddy-buddy. And when that thingy gets announce, she’s just gonna act like she knew what it is and act cool and chill about it minor foreshadowing. Uh uh u hu h what usually happens at meetings again?? Uhhh…something Muddy told Bumbly about. So some kinda…some kinda…some kinda plan! Yea, some plan! That involves QUACKPAW! Her! It involves her! And..Muddy too! Yea..yea!! Yea? Yea! Quacky just woke up a few seconds ago, so she’ll remember what it is when she’s more awake! Scratch that, she’s actually wide awake and her head’s never fully operating ever anyway

“A few days ago, I talked to Sprucey! Sprucejumperjumpingspruce! Sprucey reminds me of you, but like..grumpy and quiet you!” Remind her to annoy that cat again; she wants to get as much words from him as she could. C’mon, let her be stubborn!! Hmp…he’s not even here yet!

Burnedbark padded over and sat calmly amongst his clanmates, gaze flickering around casually at the cats gathering.

Sunrisepaw practically stormed over to sit amongst the gathering cats, though she sat a little ways off. Just enough to be on her own, something she was becoming increasingly used to...

Spiderpaw blinked timidly from the apprentice's den before slinking out quietly. Finding a spot in the back where she could hunker down and watch the meeting.

Cloverkit looked up a her papa. She was batting as Weepingwillows tail who was only a nest over from Briarmask. "Papa!" The softtoned kit mewed. Weepingwillow gently showing her to Acornfall with a gentle smile.
The scent of Nightwhisper was fresh in the air as if he'd just been there (which he had.) If you listened hard enough you could hear Nightwhisper and Emberpaw bickering

Bri perks up as she catches the sudden scent of her husband, a smile spreading across her maw as she jumps up, ushering her kits outside with her. Once she steps foot outside she immediately plops down next to Acornfall, purring in greeting.

"Hi honey!" She chirps happily, leaning into him.

She's been quite cheerful as of late, and though she misses her warrior duties, she enjoys the quality time she's gotten to spend with her family as a queen. Although she gets a bit bored at times, it's nothing that can't be fixed with a little outing to the clearing. The rosetted she's eyes flit from her mate to Bumblestar for a second, then to the crowd gathered, her pale orbs eventually settling on her children with a soft and bubbly warmth. Her tail flicks lazily behind her as she nuzzles into Acornfall with a contented squeak, thoroughly enjoying the warmth of his fur.

"How have you been? Done anything interesting lately? Oo! Any stories?" She bombards him with questions, blinking up at him with a hopeful smile.

Okay. So she may need to be caught up on all the latest news, usually she already knows everything that's been happening by hanging out in the clearing, but she's been cooped up in the nursery so she needs all the current tea.

Acornfall purred at Dreamykit joined him, noticing the confused haze in her eyes. His daughter always seemed curious or confused, sometimes both. But he figured it was due to her natural curiosity. "Bumblestar has called a clan meeting." He explained, angling his ears to point to their leader. His gaze lifted as Briarmask joined him, and the purr that sounded from him was a loud and rumbling sound. He licked her between her adorable little ears, but then he licked those ears too. He couldn't help it. "Hello my love." He purred, touching his muzzle to the top of her head.

He was not, however, expecting to be peppered with questions. And unfortunately, he didn't pay too much mind to what else what going on in the camp. Between trying to ensure Bri's life was as comfortable as possible, and training two apprentices, he was kept rather busy. "Uh well...Emberpaw's training is coming along. Chasmpaw did well at combat training...uhhhh..." He knew this wasn't the news she was looking for. He chuckled apologetically, licking her forehead. "I'm sorry, my love. I don't know a lot about what's going on in the camp." Was he...too much of a busy body? Ah! Wait! "But don't be upset! I did take a little nap today and I'm making sure to eat!"

He didn't mention that his nap lasted all of two heartbeat and that he scarfed his food down so quickly he barely tasted it. But he knew enough to avoid getting into trouble. Speaking of trouble...he could hear Nightwhisper and Emberpaw bickering. But he had to keep himself from getting into trouble...couldn't step in to stop those two right now. "Little Clove!" He called his daughter off of poor Weepingwillow's tail. "Come sit over here with your pa!" He purred with a wide, goofy grin. He loved saying that.

Cloverkit heard her papa. Her ears perking as she cuddled next to him. "Miss Weepingwillow is nice" she whispered to her father. "She told me that her kits can be my friends" Cloverkit informes her papa. Though with her shyness she seemed to get embarssed by her tone as it got a bit louder.
Weepingwillow gemtly touched her nose to Cloverkits ear. Her tail flicking in a friendly greeting over Acornfalls pelt. She poked her head out and said something. Nightwhisper and Emberpaws bickering turning to a. "Sorry love" and "Sorry mama"

Fernwhisper was a bit surprised to hear a meeting call, it felt like forever since the last time one happened.

Upon hearing about a meeting Oakkit sprang right up from her nest. Maybe this will be the day she becomes an apprentice!
