AWOOO..... in the depths of the night ... when you are least suspecting, a thief lurks within the shadows. he stalks your nest, watching your every movement. the moment your guard relents - that is when he strikes with his grubby little grabby paws!! perhaps you won't even notice it missing. even if you do, who will you suspect? certainly not the lovely and could do no wrong houndpaw!

hehe hi guys!! :3 so u see, houndpaw is unable to resist things that catch his eyes, the shinier the better. he also has ridiculous low impulse control. so, as much as he might want to be a good clanmate he can't resist trying to gather more trinkets for himself. however, he can't gather trinkets if he don't have cats to steal said trinkets from! and alas, that is how this finder has been born. i don't have a whoole lotta say besides a few tidbits y'all should be aware of before applying

✮ this finder is NOT a finder for when houndpaw actually gets his schemes put to an end. that will be separate as it is a little bit apart of a different plot. he has plot armor that is preventing him from getting "officially caught and punished" aka not letting his mama find out her son is being a stinker. HOWEVER, i am a-okay with :

✧ houndpaw attempting to steal something but getting caught so instead, he covers himself w/silver tongue & smooths over any Sus (iirc silver tongue can override mind reader if he's smart about it, so bls discuss beforehand so we can do a lil plannin if they do have mind reader!<3)
✧ cats having their own suspicions but having no evidence/etc. to support this
✧ cats finding their own objects buried within camp! .. were they always there? had they lost them? had a mouse carried it away? who knows!

✮ items should be around small-medium size! if you're unsure, feel free to ask. he has a preference for shiny objects, but he also enjoys orange/red in general. softness is also a plus, and he loooves bones. very tiny things he can carry in his mouth are also beloved. this means trinkets matching that are more inclined to be kept forever. this isn't to say he won't steal other objects, but those are more likely to be out of complete impulse and he'll
✮ if houndpaw learns that an object he stole is sentimental, he will likely return it secretly out of guilt! actually in general, he is prone to return objects a little bit after stealing if his attachment to it doesn't override his guilt for being sneaky. because as much as he loves the adrenaline being a thief gives him + things to add to his collection -- ...... he feels just as equally as bad for taking away someone's shiny. most of the time anyway unless he deems it Deserved

there isn't a form but please make sure to include the name of your character, what trinket(s) hound is going to be snatching up, and whether or not you want him to return said object eventually! (+ any other plot ideas you have to suggest. )

✮ where his favorite trinkets are stored, typically small ones. it is currently holding :

✮ multiple spots, typically underneath undergrowth/tree growths where he buries objects. often these are where he stores the ones that will eventually be returned ,, or they are forever lost bc he forgot

✮ it can be accessed by a hidden hole in the dirtplace that allows houndpaw to escape briefly. it is his largest hiding spot that is covered by a large-sized rock. he typically keeps the medium-sized trinkets he likes in here

[Mica]

Mistlewhisker has a black and yellow flecked oval-shaped rock she keeps in her nest. It has sentimental value so it'd be great if it could be returned, but she's not going to make it obvious that it's missing, so when Hound finally returns it she'll have a little pep in her step hehe.


Birdecho has variously-sized bird skulls around her nest, though she'd probably not notice if one went missing. Or two. She'll replace 'em eventually.


Emberpaw has a raven feather. Will probably decimate anyone she suspects of taking it. Steal at your own risk >:3

Tuftedtusk ( @Aroogi ) and Owlthroat share a nest!

Owlthroat currently has a little starling skull neatly perching at the edge of it, he's planning to give it to one of his children as a keepsake

I'd love him to almost catch houndpaw but hound smoothes it over, Owl isn't the brightest so would very likely believe houndpaw but would still be confused/suspicious <3

Stempaw (warrior name TBD lol), has some snake skins woven into his nest.

Also, it would be funny if Yars was suspicious with no evidence if Houndpaw steals from Owl and Tufted without getting caught.

My conspiracy theorist girlie Lightningstrike has a couple shiny pebbles and a cardinal feather in her nest. If they get stolen she's going to rant to anyone and everyone who will listen about how the outsiers are planning another attack lol. She is going to search the whole camp for them, so god opportunity for Houndpaw to make her look more insane than she already is.

Bleedingpaw has a skinned rabbit pelt in his nest he uses as bedding he would be annoyed to lose but not ultimately mind. He can skin a new one.

i fear ember and mistle r some of his top favorite cats so he wouldn't go thievin HOWEEEVERRR birdecho will be a wonderful sacrifice
