Pineblossom's green gaze raked over the woods as the trekked, searching for the herbs that Hollowpaw and Wolfhawk needed. She nodded to Risingstorm to signify that she had indeed heard him.
The queen raced around, scrounging the forest floor for fresh moss, that she had luckily found on tree roots. She spotted the bright red flowers that they needed in the corner of her eye. She dashed to them and picked up two of the flowers, spotting cobwebs a few fox lengths away. She dashed to it and wrapped it around her paw.
Pineblossom returned to Risingstorm with poppies, moss and cobwebs all in her possession, ready for the return order whenever it was given.
"I am ash... I am embers... My flames once danced bright. My flames now fade... But it returns from the depths... The fire devours me whole... It's the birth of something greater..."
Rosepaw was going to be in so much trouble- but at the very least it was well intentioned trouble. The fear of disobeying would probably make her fur fluff up if it weren't already squirrel-like at the whole situation. But that didn't stop her paws from chasing after the head hornet, he would understand what she was trying to do. Speaking of, Risingstorm came to a stop, and turned to address his patrol ( +1 ). She nodded, and started to search around hopefully before Risingstorm processed she was there and could send her back empty pawed.
Cobwebs, she could find those. Rosepaw found a stick and started to search around the roots of the trees and other spaces where spiders may be curious and started to swoop any of the silk she found around the vessel. Her body shook with the motion, making her slightly dizzy, but she persisted. There were other plants too, purpleish berries in pines. Her stormy eyes cut across the space she had followed the older cats too. Poking around desperately in attempt to find the berries.. stop- she wasn't really looking.
Deep breath Rosepaw, the feline scolded herself, exhaling around the twig in her mouth before really looking around and this time she was more successful, finding a bush with berries that matched the description that Hollowpaw gave the patrol. The apprentice gathered as many sprigs as she could. Returning back to Risingstorm had been, keeping her gaze set on the direction of camp rather than looking anywhere towards the Hornet and warriors.

Pineblossom's eyes narrowed as she looked down at the apprentice that had foolishly followed them. Despite the fact that she had directly left camp without being told to in a time of crisis, at least she was being helpful.
@Dolomedes (She's like "You're exasperating, but at least you're helping)

all he could hear was his pawsteps and wind rushing through his ears as he ran, "i'm sorry pa, i'm sorry pops, i'm sorry kes, i'm sorry ma" he mumbled as he sprinted, eventually, rosepaw came to a stop and so did drizzlepaw. "sorry mister risingstorm. i couldnt leave my sister to run alone."
he glanced around for what herbs the other cats were holding, red flowers, orange flowers, his sister was holding blue berries and sticks with cobwebs on them, others were holding moss. he shuffled over, grabbing a couple sticks and trekking around until he found cobwebs, he wrapped them up and looked for other herbs.
orange flowers, he didnt know what part was useful but this was marigold, yeah? he bit off the stem of a couple, flower, leaves and all. moss was nearby, the used his claws and tore up large chunks of it. he didnt know how he was carrying all of this, but he was.
his paws carried him. this bright red flower had to be a poppy, he almost let out a choked sob at the sight of it. he tried to stay strong, but a tear or two trickled down his blue-gray fur. he broke the stem and returned. maw full of herbs.

The hornet narrowed his eyes the the two apprentices, one of them even being his own, he could talk to them later Just get back to camp the said his voice muffled from the herbs in his maw. He would need to talk to drizzlepaw and rosepaw later.
She followed her mentor out into the territory, and tried to keep herself from slowing down in awe, but her eyes dragged across the tree branches and at a squirrel that had quickly skittered right back into the hollow of a tree after it spotted them coming through. It was so beautiful out here, not too mention that with the warming season the sun was starting to barely peek through the branches and once it was later in the morning it would be much brighter. It was amazing. Oh, Rosepaw just loved her home.
"Well yes, I understand orders but unless you have other duties and responsibilities to attend to, I don't see why we can't do several things in one day. Especially because I already know my hunter's crouch." It would be a waste of time and while she could understand hunting before battle as per Brackenclaw's words, they could do several things in one day. Her tail swayed and she flicked it, suddenly determined to show off her previous knowledge that she has gained with Tigerpelt and Flintclaw.
"Here, I'll show you my hunting crouch now." The apprentice waited for the hornet to slow down and halt, if he does at all, before crouching down in the hunter's crouch that she's practiced since her interaction with the warrior that taught her. Though since then she has always practiced her stalking and pounce as per Flintclaw's instructions on what she could be doing better. She showed off her stalk and then pounced on a nearby leaf, landing squarely on it. "Any feedback?"
Brackenclaw watched as Rosepaw got into a hunters crouch and crept up on a leaf before pouncing on it. Unfortunately Rosepaw moved so swiftly she would have given away her position to any prey she was attempting to hunt not only that but she was out in the open. "Your crouch is good but you are moving too fast. Many prey are alerted by movement and if you move too fast you are liable to alert them to your presence. To alleviate this you can crouch lower and enter foliage which will hide you and cover your approach. Once in foliage you can move more freely and get into position easier." Brackenclaw would explain. "And if you need to hide your scent some things you can think of doing is rolling in mud or something. Also to ensure you aren't scented out you can try being downwind of your prey with the wind blowing at you carrying your scent away from the prey." Brackenclaw added.
The excursion was quiet, Oakpaw had been looking over the forest in awe in the meantime, compared to the forest the camp had barely any trees! The undergrowth wasn’t lacking either. When Batmist started speaking Oakpaw was taken out of her thoughts, but made sure to try to hear everything he said anyways.
Examining the clearing before her, Oakpaw tried to think of an answer- After a moment of silence Oakpaw started to speak. “Well… this clearing has a lot less trees and bushes than the rest of the forest. And the forest itself has a lot more bushes and trees than at camp, you can probably hide here better too, though… I don’t think I could climb the trees…” Oakpaw said staring up at the behemoths behind her.
Batmist

Batmist nodded as the apprentice spoke. Decent environmental awareness, at least. "Good observations. Our territory is very heavily wooded, meaning we have lots of squirrels, mice, and birds around. You may be a bit more likely to find rabbits in this clearing, but prey usually likes to hide."
He snorted a little at the apprentice's tree comment. Ideally by the end of her training, the kid would be prepared to leap out of those tree to ambush an intruder. "You will climb the trees at some point. It's a very important skill for ThunderClan warriors to have." Batmist began padding off to the edge of the clearing, ready to head to the next part of the territory. "Let's move on, lots of territory to see before sundown."
[ sorry for the delay, it's finals week for me so i'm crazy busy. replies should be a bit quicker now! ]

Oakpaw nodded along, it sounded like even rabbits won't be easy to find and they're in the clearing! Same with the trees, Oakpaw could hardly believe that at some point she could climb the them. Following Batmist the apprentice asked. "Do prey even come out of hiding?"
[ @beau - that's alright! I'd just appreciate if next time you could send a message saying something along the line of: "I'll reply a bit late." ]

-ˏˋ the Tom padded along the territory, making sure not to wonder anywhere near any border after what happened near smallpines...otters. the thought just made his shudder. he lifted his head and sniffed the air (rolled a 16) he caught scent of squirrel and purred, he found it after a moment and dropped into a crouch and began to stalk it, his eyes focused on it, his wiggled a bit before pouncing (rolled a 10) he landed on its tail and it reared back and aimed to bite his paw, but he made a killing bite before it could, he shook it and huffed. that's one...he buried it before sniffing around again (rolled a 9) he caught scent of a mouse and went after that, doing the same thing he did for the last piece of prey, he pounced (rolled a 3) he missed and the little critter scurried away. "mouse-dung." he hissed under his breath, before sniffing the air again. (rolled a 7) he couldn't catch anything but a faint scent. he sighed and began to walk around a bit more before sniffing the air again. (rolled a 4) nothing...well this sucked...he went to find his squirrel and un buried that and began to head back to camp. ˊˎ
+1 squirrel
(closed, just having him hunt something by himself)
