Owlstar watched as the deputies scruffled, highly amused. She'd be the first to admit that she was upset that she left the deputy role so early. She figured she'd be in that perch for awhile given the quick advancements Stormstar had already made. But, she died. It still hurt her, it never didn't, this low lump in her throat that she couldn't swallow down.
Somehow, she pushed past that lump to let out a low laugh, gravely and rasped with an edge of sleepless nights. Owlstar wasn't exactly tired, but she wasn't 'well rested' either. Eh, she'll be fine. "Yeah, get 'em." Owlstar egged on in-between Shadowclan announcements, voice soft to try and not detract attention from Dawnstar.
The two-legs seemed to be a prominent problem, meddling a bit with Riverclan but clearly not as much as Windclan. Owlstar didn't exactly look at Windclan with sympathy. They were strong and they knew how to handle what came to them. But, she offered a glance of understanding to the old leader. Twilightstar looked worse... In fact, everycat did.
After Dawnstar shot her a glance, wrap it up, she assumed it meant. The tabby nodded before stepping forward, lifting herself to a stand. "Riverclan has had no major issues this moon." She wondered if the otters counted as a 'major issue' even if it wasn't exactly her problem at the moment. Given Thunderclan's absence, maybe they were duking it out with those devils. She decided not to say anything about it. If anything, it was for Thunderclan to tell.
"However, we 'ave suffered two deaths. Fadedwish n' Redsurge passed away this moon. Their absence will be noticed in Riverclan." Owlstar dipped her head and paused for a moment. She then raised her tail and spoke once more. But, fer those deaths, we 'ave three new members. Deceptionpaw, Vervainshadow, n' Shadowedcall." She wondered if any one of them were at the gathering tonight.
"A handful a apprentices 'ave been made this moon, Faithpaw, Sprucepaw, Hickorypaw, Fernpaw, Claypaw, n' Cherrypaw. As well as three new warriors, Rainwish, Ravenglow, n' Talonhive." she couldn't help but smile. She just prayed these cats pulled through.
"We 'ave a few more rascals fillin' the nursery tonight, birthed by Primroseadder n' Freezingfury. Stormkit, Owlkit, Caterpillarkit, Cypresskit, n' Brightkit. That's all from Riverclan." the scarred tabby then sat back down, licking over old scars.
As she looked up, she saw a cat passing out. A pelt she couldn't recognize, and from up here she couldn't smell them. Owlstar hissed. Not in anger, moreso frustration. She leaned forward and batted the bagel bengal, her deputy, on the shoulder. After looking at the cat for awhile, she could tell they weren't her's. After getting her deputies attention, she looked at the two leaders next to her.
"That lass one a yers?" Owlstar said, gesturing a paw to the warrior, passed out cold.

Leechscar, who had been watching over his siblings, wasn't sure if he should be disappointed or relieved that he didn't see any mini-Dawnstars around them. The large fury turned his head to watch over the rest of his clanmates while listening to the leaders report. He cocks his head when finds Strawberrypaw with three pretty large dark tabbies. The tom had no clue if they were Dawnstar's, but they looked like they could be. It didn't help that most ShadowClan cats had dark pelt and were big.
All he knew was that they weren't WindClan. Since she wasn't with her siblings nor another WindClan cat, Leechscar got up and slowly began heading to the four apprentices. He wanted to check on Strawberrypaw and ensure she wasn't bullied or uncomfortable. Before he could actually reach his destination, the fainting tom caught his attention. Leechscar was going to ignore it until he recognized the pelt.
"Seriously, what is with WindClan and fainting cats?" These idiots were going to make his mother look bad. Irritated, Leechscar started to change his path, but not before trying to catch Strawberrypaw's eyes and beckoning her over to him. If she wanted to get away from the apprentices, she could tag along or ignore him if she was fine. He didn't care. With Owlstar making her announcement, it was about time they left anyway.
"Hey, move it." The fury growled as he came up to Lilacbird. Leechscar looked over Quitejay with a firm frown on his maw and took a page out of his Badgerbait's book. Locating the tom's tail, Leechscar ducked his head and aimed a sharp bite at the appendage, not hard enough to break skin or cause any bleeding, just a jolt of discomfort and pain, assuming it would wake him. He had watched the medicine cat do this to Vinesmoke, he had woken up just fine.

Finallly, some peace and quiet....I'm drifting
Quietjay felt a sharp bite on his neck and woke to concerned murmurs. Oh, great. He had passed out. The ground was pressing up against him, there was dirt in his ear. His head was throbbing, he'd probably hit it. He could feel his body trembling. At least it was quiet now. Towering above him was a giant gray tom, with scars. With a jolt, he realized this was Leechscar, the formidable warrior he'd heard so much about. His green eyed glare was sharp as stone. He was in big trouble, wasn't he.
Quietjay shifted uncomfortably, trying to find a way to sit up without throwing himself back into the world of dizziness. He found a position that was at least better and turned his gaze back to Leechscar. This was not how he envisioned his first Gathering ending. His friends and his mentor. All completely forgotten. "I'm sorry... " he whispered, a tremor in his voice. "I-I was just overwhelmed,"

The trip to the Seastones is terrifying. Peachpaw spends most of it carefully guiding Coldpaw, afraid of making one wrong step that would trap his sister, or worse. Thankfully, they make it one piece and well-groomed thanks to Rainpaw's ministrations. They're not there too long before the Gathering starts, and Peachpaw drifts away from his siblings, staring up at the rocks where his mother sits with a slightly dazed gaze. Something about this place is strangely familiar, even though he's never been before. He feels like he should be... closer? He shakes off the feeling as the ShadowClan deputy punts Crowtooth off the deputies' perch, managing to tune into Owlstar's announcements.

if there wasnt a ton of other cats here, she likely would've screamed. "rookfire." there was coldness behind it, but a lingering sense of he could crush you was still there. she dug her claws into the dirt as he settled right next to her. perfect. just great. she turned an ear to him, carefully keeping her gaze in front of her to not arouse suspicion. "is there a reason you willingly chose to sit next to me?"
rookfires remaining ear flicked when hazycry addressed him. the dislike was still mutual, well enough, he had not expected anything less. though, seriously, wasnt she old enough to understand why he had done what he had done? had him and sleepysunrise not pushed hazycry, then duskpaw, out of her comfort zone and faced her with the reality of life she wouldve probably never made it to warrior.
the enforcer shifted slightly, one paw slipped out from beneath his tail in order to pick at a pine needle stuck between thick fibres. "im curious." he replied, words chosen carefully. 'suspicious' wouldve probably been a more accurate description but he was not looking to have hazycry run to dawnstar and cry about him being mean. there was too much at stake.
silver eyes narrowed as he averted his eyes from his tail to watch the pale calico she-cat as if her appearance alone might tell him more about the processes going on inside her head.
[ @/c1nder - very late, apologies for that. lets off screen them having some pointless conversation or just sitting in tense silence lol ]

So, their leader was "Twistar", huh? Strange name. Ashpaw would have to ask someone later what a "Twi" was. It was pretty inconsequential, for now. Mistercrow and MedicineMa were far more strange. He wondered if they were named Misterkit and Medicinekit, or if they had been renamed at some point. Those were silly. Windclan had some very strange names, yet Littlepaw wasn't a strange name.
Anyway, answer her questions, Ashpaw! "I don't... think they mind, actually. They usually just come running when she calls them like that." The grey kit replied. "Yeah, I didn't expect so many little differences." Names certainly stuck out more than temperament. He definitely didn't think naming a kit "Misterkit" would be socially acceptable in Shadowclan. He was pretty sure Dawnstar wouldn't approve of something so outlandish.
Then Ashpaw looked up as the leaders began. He could smell the arrival of another clan, and he was able to discern that it was Riverclan since Twistar said something about Thunderclan not being there yet. He wondered why the fourth clan had not shown face. Had something happened? Were they just late? So many questions! And then there were the questions about Windclan's twoleg problem, but he had a windclan apprentice right next to him.
He waited for Dawnstar to finish talking before looking back at Littlepaw. No way he would be caught whispering over her announcements. "I don't understand. What's the deal with these traps? How do twolegs trap and take away clan cats?" It wasn't a jab at Windclan. The apprentice had maybe heard cats talking about twolegs and their traps a few times, especially in his history lessons, but... It still didn't make much sense to him. Maybe someone currently dealing with it could shed some light for him.
"I'd bite MedicineMa 'N FireMa if they ever called me'a parasite!" she exclaimed, staring in bewilderment at Ahspaw. The Leaders speaking hardly caught her attention until the mention of the Twolegs. Her tail lashed with irritation when the subject was brought up. It was a very stressful time on everyone. She'd lost friends to these Twolegs and she wanted to scream at them for stealing them away. She couldn't, though. She knew it was pointless. Mr Crow and Twistar were doing their best to manage the issue.
Her eyes peered back towards Ashpaw and her ears flicked with the question. "I dunno much 'bout what's happenin', but I know the traps are hidden 'n can be hard ta find. Lots 'o cats are gettin' caught in 'em cause of that," she frowned a little. "We'll be figurin' it out this moon, I can feel it," she tried to sound more hopeful.
