A house of Wisterias

Wisteria was poked and prodded, Twolegs voices babbling and blurring all around her, a confusing mass of noise. She was at the vet, and they put her on a cold, cold table, and then put this weird device on her fur, and they kept poking her belly. Ouch!

Then she saw the moving screen. It had.. little kits in it?

Adder lay desolate in the garden. It seemed like it had been days since Wisteria had been taken. She knew that it had been a couple hours at most, but her heart felt as if it had been torn apart, making every second feel like an eternity. She heard the rumble of a monster in the distance and boltd upright. Was it Wisteria coming back?

Wisteria jumped out of the Monster the moment it pulled into the driveway. Ignoring her Twolegs, who were shouting after her and looking concerned, and bolted straight to her mate and ended up crash-landing on top of her. Scrambling up, the kittypet started shouting happily. "BEAUTIFUL VENOM! BEAUTIFUL Beautiful I'm Back!" She started at her with shining golden eyes. Then dropped the (figurative) bomb. "I'm having kits."

Adder huffed out a lungful of air as she was bodyslammed by a mound of white and yellow fur. "Wisteria! I thought you were gone forever!" She gazed up at her mate. Sometimes it was annoying being short and small. It was easier to be bodily attacked. "What." Not even a question. Just a single word filled with the most utter bewilderment known to catkind. "Are you sure? How? Is that why they took you away?" And a bigger question, a darker one. One best left unspoken. Who did you have them with, Wisteria?
@Dreamheart (hehehehe Adder's trust issues are making a comeback >:3 I apologise in advance for any sadness this might cause for Wisteria but this would be an honest reaction)

Well, that was.. not quite how she imagined this going in her head. Whether her mate was angry or happy, Wisteria couldn't really tell. "Are you not happy about it, Beautiful Venom?" The kittypet inquired, searching Adder's face for any hints. Maybe she was upset about something. Should she repeat it? Yeah, she should. "We're having kits! Aren't you excited?" Confusion was etched on her face, warring with happiness, as she asked Adder again.

@Moondew (she will be sad but ehhh perfectly valid. also Adder should remember how much of an innocent bean Wisty is and decide that she would never cheat because Wisty doesn't even know what that is)

Adder plastered a happy expression onto her face. "Uh... Yeah! Of course I am!" By Thunderfang's almighty scales, she was not excited. Kits! She wasn't ready for this! Yes, they had talked about it a couple of times, but she had just been treating it as idle speculation! How could she be a parent? She had no maternal instincts whatsoever! And what about all the risks? What if these kits killed Wisteria? Would she end up raising these cuckoo children by herself? "But are you sure that you are having kits? It could be a false alarm. Or maybe the twolegs are wrong?" It sounded more like she was trying to convince herself of this than of Wisteria.
@Dreamheart (I was thinking that after a bit Adder confronts Wisty about this and she's like 'no its just magic ^^' and then she remembers that Wisty is physically incapable of lying)

Well, that was a bit of a blow. She didn't seem all that happy... "Well, I'm excited! Don't worry, I'm sure we'll be fine. I can help you! I've always wanted kits so.." Then the fluffy kittypet goes on a bit of a tangent that her roleplayer can't be bothered writing out, but the general idea is that she is very excited for these kits.

Swishing her puffy tail Wisteria snuggled up to her mate, plush fur poofing out so she looked like an adorable puffball.

Adder was half listening to Wisteria, her brain running on overdrive as she tried to work out what she was going to do. Wisty was pregnant. Therefore, she would have to help her during her pregnancy. She would also have to help look after the kits. These were facts that could not be changed. She pushed away all the nasty dark thoughts of death and lies, at least for a while. "So what are we going to do? Your twolegs are going to be a lot more protective of you now, and they already don't like me. There's no way they will let me hang around here all the time." Ah yes, the twolegs. They had that gross kittypet food too. Who knew what was in it? It might have stuff that could harm the kits. Wisty was probably fine though, she hd been eating it all her life. "Do you think you should stop eating the stuff the twolegs give you? We don't know what it's made of. It could be filled with stuff that's dangerous for the kits. I can catch you more prey, cats have been eating mice and fish for countless moons. And maybe I could find some herbs to help?"

Oh, that was true. Hm. Wisteria hadn't considered that, clearly. Flicking her plumed tail, the white and yellow she-cat meowed, "Well, they go away all day most days, so my Twolegs aren't the biggest problem. And I've been eating that food all my life... I think it's pretty safe." Seeing her mate's face thought, the kittypet quickly backtracked, golden eyes glimmering with something unidentifiable. "But if it makes you feel safer, then you could catch me food instead? And herbs... I know nothing about herbs, sorry, Beautiful. But if something goes wrong, then my Twolegs will take me to the vet, and me and the kits will be fine." Wisteria knew it was a lot to take in. So, the pale yellow and white kittypet gave it a second before saying, "How does that sound?"
