He thought about the question, thinking over what he had already done.

"I'm pretty close to finishing, I think." he answered, he just needed a few things done. "I think I just need a special lesson."

He was pretty nervous about finishing and taking his assessment, but it would be fine. it would be fine

Cardinalpaw grinned. Perfect! They could become warriors together. The apprentice nodded. "What lesson do you need?" They asked. They could bother Sunnypurr about doing it for him. Or he could do it with him, depending on what it was. Assessments were most likely the hardest part about training. But he'd do fine. Probably. Most likely. Yeah nah he'd be fine.

Cedar frowned, trying to think. He did hunting, battle, rabbit hunting, and border tour, so he just needed one more. He was pretty sure one of his mentors said he could pick.

"One of those 'choice' ones," he replied, unable to tear his eyes away from Cardinal's mismatched ones. Why did they have to be so pretty?

Cardinalpaw nodded thoughtfully, his tail flicking though lets be honest he wasn't exactly thinking about anything ok ok ok. Uhhh. Cardinalpaw didn't reallyy know how close he was? But it was pretty good, he knew that. Cardinalpaw would be a bit salty if Cedarpaw became a warrior before him, but the tom had such pretty blue eyes, it was hard to be mad. Wait, what? Anyways. He flicked his fluffy tail, flexing his claws in and out of the dirt, a grin on his face. Great! He could harass Sunnypurr if he wanted to. The apprentice nodded importantly. About what? Cedarpaw, of course! Who knows. "Perfect! You'll do great for whatever you are gonna do for it, doll!" They purred, tilting their head with a soft grin. Really! Cedarpaw was great. He was talented and nice and more.

Cedarpaw flushed at the praise, glancing down at the ground. It wasn't often that he received praise, and even less that he received it from a peer. His blue eyes met mismatched ones, flashing with a peculiar emotion before Cedar looked away. Dear StarClan, why did he have to feel these things?

"You too. You'll do great."
