Pineblossom strode out into the clearing, shaking her fluffy pelt then stretching. It was a rainy day, bummer really. The queen didn't want to stand in the rain, but the breeze felt like a relief from the few days of stifling heat they had dealt with. The queen walked to a tree on the edge of the clearing and sat under it, shaking the droplets of water off her pelt.

Pineblossom purred as her new apprentice run up to her. "Don't wanna miss your dads first time as leader at the Gathering, eh?," she purred, running her fluffed tail along the apprentices side. "Well if I take you, I should probably ask Cicadapaw as well," she meowed.

"Cicadapaw," she called, hoping the apprentice would hear her.

This kid had far too much energy to even be handled. All of a sudden he gasped and raced away digging a hole and grabbing a pretty feather he had hidden giving it to pine blossom. "FOR YOUUUU MISS PINEY!"

Pineblossom purred lightly as the apprentice bounded off and returned with a feather. "For me?," she purred in amusement. "Well thanks kid," she mewed, touching her nose to his forehead.

Cicadapaw padded over with a wide grin, dipping his head in greeting to Pineblossom before bumping his head playfully into Cricketpaw’s shoulder. His brother was practically buzzing with energy, and while Cicadapaw was excited for his first gathering too, he knew there was no way he’d be able to match that level of energy.

"I'm ready to go, if you guys are," he meowed, tone light but steady. His amber eyes flicked between them, fondness shining bright as he watched his brother give the feather to Pineblossom.

He planned to stick close to Pineblossom tonight, keep himself steady in the unfamiliar crowd, and help keep an eye on Cricketpaw while they were out of camp. Excitement was good, but he knew firsthand how easily it could turn into chaos if they weren’t careful.

Treetiger sat outside her den, watching the crowding of cat's surround Spiderstar. Spiderstar. Such an odd name. It didn't roll off the tongue the same. He wasn't a different cat, but he had a different name, and she was going to struggle with that... in more than one way.

After his ranting and raving about the Gathering, he'd approach her, causing her ears to face forward with interest. She hadn't interacted with him this much since her apprenticeship. Her head lolled to the side, tilted slightly upwards to meet his gaze with her own unblinking one. "I can handle myself," she spoke lightly, lolling her head back upright and simply giving the leader a small nudge on the shoulder with her head. "I do have some things to chat with you 'bout," she finished, letting her gaze shift past him towards the entrance.

Quickly, she'd get to her paws, waving her tail with encouragement towards her former mentor. Her gaze tossed over her shoulder, searching for Dragonflypaw, who should've been around here somewhere. "Dragonflypaw, let's go. You have medicine cats to meet," she called to her apprentice.

Then, her gaze would shift to look for Ghostpaw. Were they still around? They hadn't been to a Gathering yet either. Unfortunately, she knew the stress and difficulty of attending one by herself, so she sought out Ghostpaw, beckoning him with her tail. "... You can stay close to me, too."

A small commotion piqued her interest, and she turned her head to look at Nightwatcher with Risingstorm and Flintclaw. Her lips curled downwards momentarily in a frown. Was he looking for her approval? Because honestly, she didn't care what he did and didn't do. The clan would start to figure that out soon enough.

Pineblossom watched as Cicadapaw approached both her an Cricketpaw, headbutting the former before sitting beside her. Thank the stars she had somehow managed to get two good and behaving apprentices. Cricketpaw she hadn't really seen much of yet- but enough to know he was sweet and kind at heart.

"We'll leave when Spiderstar gives the order," the queen mewed warmly.

Ghostpaw moved towards Treetiger, keeping some distance brtween them both. She had another apprentice and he didnt want to feel like a bother. His tail twitches anxiously. His first gathering. Other clans.And he was gonna meet them all..maybe even speak to a few.

A Gathering huh? Dragonflypaw wished she could say that this would be her first as the Medicine Cat Apprentice.... but it was sadly her first one ever. Stars, she was so behind her siblings! The elegant, cream speckled she-cat padded over to where her father was, sunrise coloured eyes flicking back and forth as she took in the scenes happening all around her.

She wouldn't interfere, of course. She didn't care. The dark brown and russet she gave a small smile to her siblings as she passed, reaching out with her tail to gently flick them with it. Well, by smile she actually just gave a twitch of her facial muscles in an attempt to smile. She simply wasn't used to doing it that often. The apprentice turned her head towards her new mentor when she was called- Ah right.

How could she forget?

Dragonflypaw changed course and elegantly wandered over, dark, curly fur rippling. She dipped her head slightly to the Medicine Cat. "Of course. I'm here now, Treetiger." The Medicine Apprentice couldn't honestly say she was looking forward to mingling with the other Medicine Cats, but it would be a lie to say she wasn't pleased to show off her new rank. Dragonflypaw spotted Ghostpaw on her way to Treetiger, and vaguely recalled that he was another apprentice of hers. So, the dark she-cat gave a twitch-that-might-be-the-beginnings-of-a-smile to him, and then flicked her tail elegantly before waiting beside Treetiger.
