Shiverlight let the fear pass her by and shifted uncomfortably. If it where any other cat is problably tell them to get off my back. Unfortunately this is halestar for starclans sake. thought shiverlight as she expressed a sigh, Releasing the bent up energy she had stored within her. There's no better way out of this. I must be honest. Wrapping myself up in another lie would cause me to falter. she thought feeling as if telling would too get her exiled easy. Besides she was to meet the Tom again sometime. Not that she wanted too bru she wanted to get him off shadowclans land. To get him to stop lurking.

Amber eyes gazed out at the wandering cats in the Shadowclan clearing. They were the only things visible about Nightleap, her pelt being completely black, helping her blend into the shadows. However, her gaze was blank. She didn't know why she'd failed, or how. She only knew that she did. The she-cat's grief for her young apprentice started making her not hungry herself. She ate when others were watching just to get them to be quiet about her now-fragile body. She just had to let Wolfpaw fight, didn't she? Light tears started welling in the warrior's eyes as she thought about her little apprentice. Every time she saw Wolfpaw's family she apologized. How long could she keep it up? She hadn't spoken to any of her friends since it happened. She simply stayed in her little corner unless she was chosen for patrol, which was the only reason she had for doing anything for any clan, or herself. Maybe she should talk to someone... Someone who understood her pain. Nightleap glanced about the clearing, searching for someone to talk to, though she didn't really want to. When she saw her old friend, the she-cat let herself smile slightly.
She got up slowly, aching throughout her body from staying in the same spot all day. She shook her pelt, which was slightly matted from the dirt, and started padding over to Snakesnap. When she spoke, her voice was unusually gruff. "Hey, Snakesnap..."

Snakesnap blinked, a touch of shock flashing across his face before it was replaced a millisecond after with a tinge of respect and friendliness. Besides his apprentice, he hadn't had much social interaction as of late, but it was always a relief to see an old friend. The warmth in his gaze had an obvious intent, but the respect was a bit fuzzier. Snakesnap was much older than Nightleap, so to show respect for someone who he could've mentored would be a bit strange; all this aside, he had remembered the struggles she had had with mates, but yet she still had the strength to continue on. He would have given up after only one she-cat. Indeed, Snakesnap was not the most determined cat in ShadowClan. Noticing how Nightleap didn't seem to be all that happy, his amiability faltered. "Nightleap. Hello," he started, a little wariness creeping into his voice. He hadn't spoken to her in a while, so it was a little strange to have her come up to him out of the blue. "I've seen you staying in the same general area for days on end. Are you taking care of yourself?" That blackbird was not doing much to settle his stomach. It only made his hunger greater, tempting him to go over to the fresh-kill pile and grab as many pieces as he could with no regard to the kits or elders. Ears twitching in contempt for his inner behavior, he dismissed the thoughts and decided to a bit more forward, giving in to his desires in a gentler way. "Hmm. Our conversation could flow a lot easier over a meal," meowed the snowshoe, sparing a longing glance at the fresh-kill pile before turning back towards Nightleap with a raised eyebrow. "Have you eaten?" he meowed.

Nightleap stole her own glance at the fresh-kill pile. "No," she admitted quietly, her voice hoarse from not speaking much to anyone lately. She slowly padded over to the pile, grabbed a decent-sized thrush, and brought it back over to Snakesnap, dropping it in front of him. She then plopped herself down on the other side, waiting for him to take the first bite. "I will be fine," she said simply. "You need to stop eating next to nothing." She pointed out how skinny the tom was, hoping her old friend would start eating more often, despite the lack of prey. "Shadowclan needs good warriors like you to stay strong..." She remembered when her mentor had said that after her apprentice's death. Oh the irony. The black she-cat felt that she wasn't a good enough warrior for Shadowclan. She had allowed Wolfpaw to die. She shook her head and gazed at Snakesnap, shoving her worries to the back of her mind. "How's training been?"

Blue eyes scanned the clearing before a cat emerged, this cat was named Serenewatcher and she was not in a good mood, at all. A deep feeling of serendipity lurked within her and her muzzle twisted. She retracted her claws from their sheathes and into the sodden ground where her paws rested, this cream molly was clearly not the cat to mess with, especially today.
Before finally laying herself down, the molly took one last reassuring glance around the clearing before finally drifting into a restful sleep
