The black she-cat looked up at Emeraldgaze, fear gleaming in her eyes.

He put his paws on her belly again then lightly prodded her belly, feeling for the kits.

Re: ShadowClan Clearing
@ Brooklyn Trees
A large emerald green eye could been seen popping out of the nursery. Then another large eye came with the other one to make a pair. It was Onyxkit. She was a small and slender she-cat with a strange personality. She twitched her tail tip as she pawed the ground a bit. The she-cat looked around, "Hmm, it looks like a grim day to me," she muttered in her young cat voice. She usually saw things as something bad. In other words, she was pessimistic. However, on rare occasions, she would say something that would lift the spirits of another feline.
Onyxkit blinked as she began to slink her way out of the nursery. She was old enough to go out in the clearing by herself. In fact, she was four moons old! She was almost an apprentice! The female felt her body tingle at the thought in excitement. She wanted to be an apprentice badly. Onyxkit liked the idea of rising in power, but it didn't drive her mad.
The poor she-kit would try to act normal and make friends with the other kits, but they seemed to understand her humor or her actions. She would laugh at morbid things, then she would play a bit to rough. She needed a feline, who could match her weird ways and understand her, but it was a hard task. She tried everyday. She went to almost every cat to speak to them, but to no avail. She had not found a friend. Onyxkit frowned at the thought as she padded into the clearing and sat down a few feet from the nursery.

The she-cat began to pant, her ears pinned back.

Bugpaw sat calmly off to the side of the clearing, black tail wrapped tightly around one of his dark paws as he watched the other felines of this clan with narrowed yellow eyes, mistrust of those around him evident in the glare that had become the default expression of his snub-nosed face.
His other paw, the one not covered by the fluff of his tail, was being drawn along his muzzle, claws sheathed within his paws as he watched the other residents of his clan.
The tom appeared rather calm in position and movement, if not a little tense, in all aspects of those but his face, and especially in the aspect of his eyes. Tense out of nothing more than the fact that he did not want to relax fully, to appear at all weaker than what he himself deemed alright. Being weak could make him a target, and even if it didn't, it would make him lesser in his own eyes. He didn't want to feel, and so his anger and pride were what kept him feeling like more than an empty vessel when unwanted emotions penetrated his down-turned, solemnly hating face.
He carefully scrutinized those around him, finding something to dislike about them. He was disliked, and therefor he disliked others. Finding why he hated a particular cat, for anything but to be on level ground, helped to make him hate them more. But one cat, a small kit with large green eyes, he had not seen before. He narrowed his eyes further, as he did when he mistrusted more than he generally did, taking his gaze across her as he studied her pelt, her eyes, her movements.

Hi! I’m Brook, but call me whatever you wish =^^=. I’m unfortunately not very active, and though I may come back every once in a while to say Hi, I’m not sure if I’ll get back to Roleplaying or not. Miss you guys.

Onyxkit examined her surroundings watching cats walk in and out of camp. "They must be going on patrols," she mumbled to herself. She shook her head as she felt eyes burning the back of her pelt. She slouched her shoulders in an unwelcoming manner. She didn't like it when other felines stared at her. She snorted as she began to slowly turned her head toward the source of the stare.
Once the she-kit found where the burning eyes were, she blinked her green orbs at him. She stared at him for a few moments seeing what his motive was to be looking at her like she was prey or that she had done something wrong. 'Had she done something wrong to this cat?' She asked herself. She flicked her ear as if trying to shoo away the question.
The female normally brought herself down by thinking of bad things about herself. However, she felt a strange pang of sympathy for the male. He seemed alone, just sitting there by himself. She understood what it felt like to be alone, so she took a deep breath and got up. Onyxkit then began to pad over to the larger feline with her chest sticking out trying to act courageous. "Hello," she squeaked at him. It wasn't a fearful statement, but she had just lost her courage at that moment. She then put her slim tail between her legs afraid the tom would try to respond with violence.

Bugpaw watched the feline turn, his piercing yellow orbs unwavering as they connected with the bright green of the other cat's returning stare. He refused to look away or break eye contact in any way, stopping his searching of her pelt and movements to focus his attention of staring back at her, eye to eye.
Her reaction however was quite unexpected. He was used to be simply ignored or to have the other return to what they were doing, if they ever looked up at all. But this kitten, this small cat who looked up and stared at a tom who was twice as big as herself and who was glaring angrily at her for no reason other than that he disliked everything around him, including her because she was there, was walking up to him. He was surprised to say the least, also a little uncertain.
It wasn't the first time that he had been approached by a cat, or even a kit. A she-kit by the name of Tawnykit had approached him not long ago and talked to him, her fury matching his own.
His immediate reaction to this kitten's greeting was to narrow his eyes further, still not allowing them to leave the she-kit's gaze.
"Hello." He said, voice dark, though not quite hostile. Not yet anyways.

The small, lanky she-kit twitched her nose as she looked up into the eyes of male. "Are you a warrior?" she asked tilting her head. She had little to know emotion her her tone, but there was a hint of curiosity hidden in it. She blinked not taking her eyes from his. She was taught to keep eye contact if she were intimidate, which she wasn't trying to now, or if she was trying to be polite, which she guessed she was trying to. However, some of her motives would be read wrong by most felines.
She remembered him staring at her earlier. She thought it was strange, which sparked a thought in her mind, 'What if we...' she began to think, but she knitted her fur above her eyes together pushing away the thought. No, he couldn't understand her. He would most likely push her away or run away like the other cats. However, she still looked up at him with eye contact trying not to show her emotions in her large green orbs.
