Eris' Spring - Open!

Eris was at the edge of a pond, lazily flicking her tail back and forth as she watched the spring pour forth water. She dipped a paw in it, her emotionless eyes staring at the ripples with boredom. The cat was currently surrounded by a circle of trees, the pond dead center.

A small white and gray kit was breathing hard, running from the fox at her heels. She was terrified, the waves of fear overlapping the last one. She screamed when she felt the fox's jaws snap close to her tail, close enough to pull some fur. She saw a wall of some tall grass ahead, and she saw trees sourounding it. She heard her heart pound, blood rushing her forward, until she burst through the wall and into the water. She sank down, then bobbed back up. She took a breath of air and water when she was shoved back down again by the waves she created. She stayed down longer than before, as she tried to come back up for air but the fox's paws churning in the water kept her down, then one hit her in the head and she lost consciousness, sinking down slowly.
