Re: Dusk Syndicate Territory

Broken padded out in Dusk Syndicate Territory and narrowed his eyes. "Can you do it this time?!" He shouted. He still hadn't forgotten last time when Forest couldn't kill the kits. He nudged out a kit and it toppled over onto it's face. "Do you want to be stuck as a hunter all your life because you can't kill a kit?"

Forest padded into the training area, her head held high and tail above her head. She acted confident, she had to show she wasn't scared. The black and tan she cat padded forwards. "I will try Broken." She responded, her voice tense with the thought of what she was about to do. "I will not be a hunter, just because I can't kill a kit. Besides, does being a hunter mean killing a small innocent kit everyday? Is it a daily duty you have to perform?" The stubborn molly padded up to the kit. "I will make this fast little one." she whispered into the kit's ear. She then looked up, her head still lowered and locked her eyes onto her Trainer's gaze. Without a change or flicker of emotion, she bit down on the kit's neck. She flinched not as a tiny squeal erupted from it. Instead she held her gaze constant. Secretly inside, this killed her. She didn't believe in killing the ones who had never done wrong, the ones who had never had a fighting chance. As the kit fell limp in her jaw, she picked up the dead carcass and tossed it to Broken's paws. "Tell Hannibal I killed it personally for him. Now can you actually teach me something useful?" she spat, her tail flicking behind her in anger.

Broken padded up to Forest very slowly, his claws unsheathed as he did so. He gazed into Forest's eyes, piercing her very soul. "I know this killed you, Forest. But you realize doing this makes you merciless, which helps you kill better, which helps you rank up quicker!" He spat back, no true emotion flowing as he yelled at his trainee. The usually timid she-cat had finally stood up to him, one who has similar traits to Hannibal, the truly evil. "Now...it's time we move this up. I'll find a group of apprentices." He ran away towards the territories and left Forest there, alone.
He arrived later with 5 apprentices. 3 seemed quite timid, and the other 2 looked very strong and independent. "Forest here needs some... motivation. All of you.... attack her." Broken ordered.
(So basically.... Broken won't help you if you're getting beaten up by them. He'll leave you to fend for yourself. His belief is that it makes you stronger)
(If you want to know why Broken thinks this way.... He was abandoned by his ENTIRE family at just 3 Moons. His former name was Darkkit. Itzal, formerly Ravenkit/paw, is Broken's sister, but he doesn't know it)

[Ahh makes a bit more sense now, I just thought it was more of a live with murderers, be a murderer thingy, but this makes sense now. Forest will mature quickly though, learning to rely in her own strength and not trust others to help her out]
Not the response she had wanted, but she would face it anyways. If there was one thing Forest was good at, it was trying her hardest to not be seen as a coward, or a weakling. She waited in dreaded anticipation while Broken went to find more cats. "I don't see why killing is so necessary..." she said quietly to herself. "I thought we were supossed to prtect our borders and only fight to kill when they refused, or attacked first. This is nothing like what I expected from Hannibal's explanations." she sighed. Then her trainer came back, and she perked her ears to attention. She glared at him, anger and frustration boiling inside her. She did not want to grow up and be a ruthless killer. Sure she wanted to know how to defend herself and make her father proud, but she didn't want to have to murder large numbers of cats to get there.
She had to do this though. She had to get Broken to respect her and not take her for a wimp. She could not end this training session like she had the last one, broken down in emotion, crying, and bleeding. Forest hissed at the apprentices before her. AS they moved forwards, her mind swilredin panic. But before she lost control, she was able to reign back in her thoughts and focus. If she could take the stronger two out first, they would need the most energy from her. She leapt, flying, claws outstretched. She landed at the paws of the first. "Oopsie." she giggled. The apprentice, a handsome ginger tom, smiled down at her and offered his paw. "The name's Ashenpaw sweetheart." he meowed cockily. He didn't know why he was there, so he helped the nice looking cat to her paws. But Forest was smarter. She grabbed his paw in her front two and flipped him over her, flinging him to the ground, where she raked her long claws down the middle of the tom's chest. She turned ready to face the next as that one lay bleeding out on the ground behind her.
A moment later, the other strongest one dashed away, into the undergrowth. If she wanted to run, let it be, she had others to deal with. By now the timid three were backing away in fear. Forest's eyes were ablaze with a fire like passion. "Names?" she hissed. and they replied meekly. "Emberpaw and Flickerpaw." She narrowed her pale green hues. In this moment, she was acting most like her father, ambitious, proud, menacing, and terrifying. She lunged forwards and managed to wrestle two of them to the ground. She grasped each of their heads in a paw and crashed them together at a mighty force, leaving them dazed and unconscious. They laid there, unmoving, and Forest slid her claws across their aorta veins, ending the two of them.
The last one stood there, trembling. "Name?" she asked. "Otterpaw, p-please don't kill me. I-i'm only a moon away from my warrior cerem-" she had lunged, killing the last with her bared teeth. She then turned back to Broken. "Satisfied? Or disappointed that one got away?" She asked flatly.

Broken smirked. "Oh... dear, you should know I'm never satisfied. That's no such word in my vocabulary." He laughed insanely. The sleek black tom eyed the lifeless corpses. "Give the strongest one to Hannibal." Broken wasn't one to feel sympathy or generosity, but even he knew not to anger Hannibal. He flicked his tail sharply, and began padding away back to camp.

Broken brought out an apprentice. "What's your name, dear?" He stared at the apprentice, his red hues flowing with nothingness. Once he heard her name, he turned to Forest. "KILL HER." He demanded, stepping back a few tail-lengths, ready for blood to spew, landing in droplets, soon forming puddles.

"Leave me alone!" Brindlepaw hissed, her voice thin with anxiety as she was brought out into the territory- but she was even more surprised at who she saw, somebody she thought was her friend, her family. Traitor. The she-cat thought that Forest was the only member of her family, of the entire Dusk Syndicate that she could trust- but it turns out that she was right here, besides the cat she assumed was her friend. "...It's Brindlepaw." She spat- usually the cat was nice, but this knowledge that somebody so close betrayed her was a sinking feeling, something that almost made her sick to her stomach. However, when Broken let her go to let her sister kill her, she of course spotted an opportunity. Dashing away, she tried to run as fast as she could towards anywhere, anywhere that could keep her safe for the night, anywhere that could keep her alive. @Nighty

Forest was trailing behind, the sickening feeling if her guilt after killing the last group of cats, still strong in her gut. It was a gut wrenching, heart aching feeling that was incredibly hard to shake. Her pale green eyes were dull and weary, not looking forwards to the next spree that Broken would have her go on. How many would it be this time? Five, like last time? Six, seven, or eight? Maybe even ten. She knew that she would have to kill some cat, some cat who had a life. Some cat who had family, who had friends, who had a life. A life that consisted of innocence and freedom. Not like hers. But they would be introduced to hers, and if she wanted to keep her growing status with Broken, she would have to end them in her life. She didn't want to. But she had to impress him. It was her way to the future, and she highly doubted that this time would be different than the last times. Killing, killing and more killing. That was all Broke Had taught her to do so far. She just wished that one day she could learn something different. And unfortunately for Forest, her killing days were not over, and she was not in the least expected the sight that awaited her through a pair of holly bushes.
Forest was met by the site of her formidable trainer hold just one cat in his jaws. At first she was feeling better. Only one more life to be taken. That was until she smelled the scent of the cat, the fur color, the eyes, the scared expression. The smell of Windclan radiated off of the small she cat who looked about the same age as her. No, this cat was exactly the same age as her. They were born in the same nest, on the same day, in the same litter. This was none other than her sister Brindlepaw standing before her, out on the slaughter list that Broken had made up. She took a step back, appalled by the sight. She couldn't do this, she wouldn't. Even though this was the sister that had betrayed her and her family, they were still blood related, and plus, she felt closest to Brindle. It was the closest thing she had come to in a normal family relationship. "I-I Broken I can't kill her she's my si-" and Broken had let go, Brindle had ran off. The Ebony she cat did not finish her sentence, knowing that would make matters worse. I have to catch her, and let her know I'm not going to kill her, without letting Broken know. she thought hurriedly. Thinking fast she forced her paws to move, tearing off after the rustling undergrowth as she hunted her sister. What would she do when she caught her? She couldn't kill her, and she knew that if she couldn't kill Brindle, then Broken most certainly would. She had seen him do it before. She had to get them out of this safely.

Broken dug his claws into the ground, anger flowing through his hues, as he sat there, patiently awaiting his trainee to come back. After awhile of waiting, he suspected Forest wasn't coming back, and he left without concern.
