Rose looked around, and saw the two boys standing there. She gasped in surprise, then was releived to see they were friendly. She waved shyly.
Alex looked at Salem, noticing how he had acted so gruff to him and so nice to the girl. He decided to ignore it, and looked at the girl to listen to what she would say.

"Great, great," the man spoke finally. "We've all introduced ourselves, how lovely. Now, can we get back to what's important? You know, finishing the story?" He though just maybe if he let them do something alone before continuing, they'd cooperate. Now it was time to test that theory.

Ana took another brick out of the floor, making a hole about two feet across. She then continued digging with her spoon, now about a foot down.

"Fine, if you won't, then I'll make you." He picked up his pencil and wrote down a few words, reading them aloud. "Suddenly, a strange fog spread through the air. As they inhaled it, they began to feel drowsy, and then fell asleep, falling to the floor."

Alex looked around as a fog went through the room, taking a deep breath and holding it. He went low to the ground where the fog had not reached yet, signaling for the others to do the same.
