Snowsong laughed at his expression, picking up speed as she chuckled. An emotion she couldnt describe was rushing through her chest, making her entire body tingle with happiness. This was the time of her life.

"Ha! Who's to say a deputy cant have fun?" Snowsong yowled back, allowing the sound to echo around. Another giggle escaped her before she launched herself forward at the Tom, aiming to send the two rolling, hoping to pin him as she usually did when they were battle training as apprentices. They'd always been best friends. And maybe in the future....Something more.

Stormstrike quickly ran faster as he saw his best friend gaining speed. He couldn't let her catch up! His pride would be ruined. Well, not really. Pride didn't matter much to Stormstrike. There were many things in the world that Stormstrike cared more about. Like Snowsong.

"Me!" Stormstrike yowled back, playful defiance in his voice.
Suddenly, the tom was knocked to the ground. At first, he was rather alarmed. But that quickly went away as he noticed the white fur of Snowsong. Smiling in relief, the grey tom laughed as he tumbled down a
rather steep hill. They finally landed and before the siamese could move,
Stormstrike pinned her down, a look of triumph on his maw. Finally,
he was the one pinning her down. Not the other way around.

Snowsong let out a loud laugh, giggling as she found herself on her back, Stormstrike on top of her. Brief surprise flickered through her eyes, a playful grin twitching at her lips as she smiled up at him. "Well, looks like you've finally pinned me, huh?" she purred.

She didnt know why she did what she did next. Maybe it was something in the Tom's gaze, maybe it was the warm feeling in her chest intensifying, but she found herself reaching up, putting one paw on the side of the Tom's face, and rasping her tongue over Stormstrike's cheek ever so gently before pulling back. Her fur heated up, but she didnt care, merely giving Stormstrike a coy smile.

he would tell her. After moons of waiting for some sign, he decided he would make the first move.

He opened his jaws to speak when suddenly, he stopped abruptly as Snowsong licked is cheek. It seemed as though he was frozen in time. He was stunned. Very stunned. A few moments later, he seemed to snap back into reality and he looked down at Snowsong, surprise and affection in his hues. Nervousness tugged at him, however, he felt slightly more confident.

Taking a deep breath, Stormstrike looked into the hues of the siamese, feeling as though his heart would suddenly burst out of his chest. Now was his chance, if he got rejected, then so be it. With his voice barely above a whisper, he spoke. "I-I understand if you don't feel the same," he started, his voice quivering. There was a voice in the back of his mind that was screaming at him to stop this and save him from a life of embarrassment, but he ignored it. He had to do this, this was his chance.
Finally, after so many moons, he spoke the words he had been longing to say.

"I love you."

He loves me? She thought, her heart pounding. A sudden wave of affection shot through the Siamese she-cat. First she was smiling, then she was full-out grinning from ear to ear, happiness shining in her ice blue eyes.

Reaching up again, this time she pressed her nose to Stormstrike's, purring faintly as she gazed into his blue eyes, smiling happily. Her next words felt so natural, so smooth on her tongue. Because they were true.

"I love you too, Stormstrike."

Seeing how she had returned his feelings, the grey warrior prepared to ask her something. He wasn't so prepared for this one. Simply because in the day he had spent planning to tell her the truth, he hadn't expected himself to get this far. But now, after moons of waiting, moons of gaining some self confidence, he had finally done it. And even better, he had gotten a response that he really hadn't been expecting. But it wasn't like he was complaining. He was happy beyond words. Nothing could describe how he was, and he didn't need to. The affection in his orbs said everything for him.

Taking a deep breath, Stormstrike asked his question, his voice just above a whisper.

"Then will you be my mate?"

His question had her giggling, her eyes seeming to sparkle even more, if possible. She grinned up at him, cocking her head to the side. "Of course, you silly furball!" She teased, giggling slightly at him as she thought the question was answered already. Though she didnt mind answering it for sure. Mates. The thought made her smile, her eyes lit up again.
