Halestar jumped up on the highbranch, her green eyes gazing towards the other cats as she called for a brief meeting. "As some of you may know, I will be removing Cloverwhisker from her rank as deputy- this is because she takes far too many risks and has cost the life of another cat during her first few sun-high's of being deputy." The leader said, sighing softly.

"And... now after much much supervision and looking at the clan members- I have determined an appropriate deputy for the l." She shifted and frowned slightly before smiling kindly, "Goldeneye, please step forward."

"I say these words before StarClan, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of ShadowClan is Goldeneye."

Goldeneye blinked, his dark green and yellow eyes looking up towards the highbranch. M-Me? Deputy? he thought in amazement, he didn't think that of all cats, he would be picked. Sure, he knew how much he cared for his clan, but still, deputy. It was a lot of responsibility, and he knew it might be hard to handle, but he was going to try anyways.

Replacing Cloverwhisker. A cat he had barely seen over a couple of days. He didn't know what to say, he was happy, sure, any cat would be that. He didn't look back as he stood there, not wanting to see Cloverwhisker's reaction at the current moment, now gathering up his morale to say he would accept the position.

Taking a deep breath in, he walked up to the highbranch, "I...I..." he stammered, not knowing what to say, and trying to hide all the happiness that was sealed inside him for the moment being. His deyes wide with surprise, and glowing with happiness at the same time. "I'll try to do the best for ShadowClan," he said awkwardly, smiling up at Halestar, his tail flicking with excitement as he looked at the clan leader.

The leader asked, curling the tip of her tail as she sat and talked. She had become much more friendly now that the initial remembrance of what his mother had done went away, and now she was similar to how she was when she was first apprenticed with Smokeblossom. "Do you have anything you would like me to teach you today?"

Onyxpaw refrained himself from shouting `fighting`, figuring it wouldn't be the best way to begin their training sessions. Fighting didn't seem so great a topic, seeing that Halestar and Blazingnight's relationship was based off it. Shifting uneasily, the dark-pelted apprentice began to assess himself. How challenging it was to judge yourself, Onyxpaw discovered.

Finally, with a jump of excitement, Onyxpaw gasped as he realized what he wanted to learn today. ``Tell me about the other clans? Oh, please! Do RiverClan cats really swim like otters? Can WindClan warriors move as swiftly as the wind?`` His tail-tip flicked with anxiety as he yearned to hear if the rumors in the nursery were true.

Cloverwhisker sat up tall even though she was ashamed that she has been removed from her rank. She looked at the new deputy and have him a wide smile. She would be the first to chant "Goldeneye! Goldeneye!" She mewerd loudly. She sat up and passed over to the new deputy and sat beside him "Congradulations Goldeneye! I wish you luck in your new position!" She kept up her cheerfulness though she was sad that she had let her Clan down.

Goldeneye looked at Cloverwhisker and smiled, "Thanks," he said meekly, trying to figure out if this was a dream or not. His eyes still lit up with excitement as he sat next to the previous deputy, not knowing whether to apologize for taking her position, or to not say anything. In the end, he chose not to say anything.

Now he was deputy. Deputy. Deputy. He could barely believe it still, and he guessed he didn't need to believe it just yet, he would have to grow into it. Repeating the word in his mind. Deputy. Deputy. Deputy. Would he be out as quickly as Moondancer or Cloverwhisker? He hoped not, but you never know. He just put on a smile for now and sat there, just not knowing what to do, just letting himself think he was a normal cat for a few more moments, even knowing that he was now deputy.

Friends, like his she was friends with Coldhearted. Oh Coldhearted, he seemed to be much closer than a friend. She glanced around the highbranch and looked for her friend. She sighed upon not seeing him and shifted her gaze back to Goldeneye.

"Thanks," Goldeneye said awkwardly again, he hadn't even thought about the fact that he might, might be leader someday. Actually, just thinking about that almost felt like he had been hit with a rock, making him feel even more nervous. Just focus on being deputy, he told himself, Understand that first, before you grow nervous about being leader, if that happens. Maybe that was all he needed to tell himself, he had no idea, but that thought did calm him down a bit.

Then he noticed the she-cat looking for someone, or, at least, he thought so. "Are you looking for someone?" He asked aloud, making himself feel stupid. He pushed that feeling away and looked at the she-cat, putting on an awkward smile now, just to make himself feel slightly better.

A tawny brown, spotted she-cat curled up in a fresh, juniper green moss bed, her tail tucked under her left hing leg, squished on top of her right hind leg. She had her forelegs extended forward, her paws bent 45 degrees downward. The dark brown-spotted feline shifted on her back, her legs spread in different directions, then shifted back on her right side. Mudclaw let out a low groan, as she struggled to maintain a comfortable position. A few minutes after every shift, either one of her legs began to go numb, or it didn't support her weight. Well, I guess it's a sign from StarClan that I need to get my morning started, she thought. Eventually, she blinked her eyes into a slit. Using her paw, she shielded the sun from her eyes until they adjusted to the pineapple yellow light.
Her eyes had finally managed to get used to the blinding morning rays, and she brought her paw down from her face. Her legs wobbled slightly as she heaved herself up, then extended her forelegs past her head, raising her rear and pointing her tail tip, giving herself a morning wake-up stretch. She shook her pelt slightly, before making her way out of the Warriors' Den.

She had arrived once again, and plopped down on her juniper green moss, releasing her grip on a Xenopus frog, letting it fall to the ground. Before she could take a delicious bite, she saw a figure moving in the den. Her eyes grew wide as she took a deep breath, finally gathering the courage to begin a conversation with the blind warrior. "He-." She stopped the sentence. Agh, I can't do this!

Pinewatchers ears twitched as they heard shuffling along the warriors den. After a stressful day yesterday they didnt feel like getting out of their nest, but the nest next to them were empty. They guessed Creekgaze had gone out on a patrol or something. They opened their clouded green eyes to the dim lit den and gave a small yawn. They noticed the other molly, Mudclaw was it? They couldnt really remember. But by her scent they could tell it was another warrior. They had better senses then most, being able to tell the differences between cats just by their scents or sounds. Their ears perked at the sound of what was going to be a hello, but cut off. ¨Hello?¨
