Dark, river-coloured eyes drifted across the ground, seeking any movement. Nothing. The warrior, Sleekpetal, prowled along the territory, looking for somewhere to just relax. He slid his tail across the ground before laying in some shade. His frame was small, and feminine, yet it didn't bother him none. Although it brought a few taunts here and there, Sleekpetal just kept his head high, refusing to show weakness. "I am a male, fair and square," He always told himself, in a confident tone. It shouldn't matter if he was biologically female!
The tom huffed and closed his eyes, curling into a ball. His tail flicked, covering his nose. A small breeze ruffled his fur, humming within his black-tipped ears. I'm a male, fair and square.
His paws kneaded the ground, and no matter how long he kept still, he was unable to fall asleep.
The grey tom sat up with a grumble. "Great," He snorted, "Just when I get to relax, I'm still as energized as a kit!" Sleekpetal twitched, feeling the urge to just trot around for a while until he felt tired. No point in that. Narrowing his eyes, the tom just gave up and began to look around, bored.

The territory had always been one of Jasperpelt's favorite places. It was calming, soothing... and he appreciated it. The Clearing was too crowded and loud, the warriors' den was often quieter but so cramped, but the territory... the territory was quiet, large, and uncrowded. A perfect spot for the tom. And, he had good memories of this place. The last few times he had been out here had been with friends; just one, of course. Two was a good number. Three was okay. Four was nice, but he preferred two out of them all. Why? Because it was a pair. Four was a miniature crowd, in his opinion. The size of a normal patrol... but a crowd nonetheless. Perhaps no one else shared Jasperpelt's thoughts, but he had a very strong view on them. Not that he would argue it. Arguing was a rare occurance for the dark feline, and when it did happen, he normally backed down pretty soon.

He always backed down. There was no point in fighting about mindless things, at least not to him. And anyways, who would listen? Not too many cats. Jasperpelt sighed, the tip of his tail twitching aimlessly as he settled down by a tree. For the moment, all was silent. Yellow hues closed, shutting out the world around him and the beautiful sights. All he could hear was the chirping of birds and the rustling in the bushes, whether from cats or prey.

Though doubtful, Shellkit gave a small nod and backed up a pace, opening his jaws to clear the smell from his senses. Fernkit might say that slimy creature is delicious but the tiny tom had serious doubts that anything that smelly would taste even half as good as his mother's milk. With a twitch of his whiskers, he turned to follow the other tom's gaze around the camp. He tipped his head to the side curiously at the mention of the 'elders.' "Aren't they a little...crabby?" Shellkit asked. He was pretty sure he'd heard others complaining about them through the nursery walls, at least.
Fernkit chuckled, "They can be at times, but when you're a kit they're usually pretty friendly." He stopped as they came by the entrance of the den. "It sounds like they're sleeping right now but you can peak your head in and look. They're not so scary." He purred. Any cat could hear the loud snores coming from inside the Elders' Den.

(I just realized we are in the territory and not the clearing..? Oops)

Olivetail padded along. Her olive coloured eyes scanning the foliage lining the path she walked with delicate small paws. When a scent crossed her nose she hadn't ever discovered before.
Her ears perked and angled in a direction just off to the left. Intrigued the she cat turned and strutted off in that direction, skirting a line of bramble and thicket before spotted a sleek furred feline. Her nose wrinkled at the scent and she fixed her olive coloured eyes on him. She studied him for a moment, admiring that he was a sleek furred and well groomed Tom. She padded toward him putting on a tender smile.
She approached with dead silence and once she was close enough she stepped into view, "hello?" she prompted calmly. It's funny how I have yet to met him, I guess nwo the times huh. the petite she cat stepped in front of him.

Sleekpetal raised his head, his ears flattening. "Hello." His voice was calm, monotone. No hint of his past irritation. He swished his tail and turned his gaze towards the cat, examining her closely. I haven't seen her very much before. The tom was thoughtful, his eyes narrowing. His dark orbs held a hint of annoyance, yet he quickly brushed it off as to not seem rude. "You are?" Sleekpetal sat straight up, his chin high.
He raised a paw and quickly groomed it, seeing as it had become dirtied. His sleek, yet rather fluffy, fur was yet again ruffled by a breeze, and he flattened his ears against the whispering ways. With a twitch of his strikingly pink nose, Sleekpetal awaited an answer from the she-cat.

@Duskflight

Minnoweye lifted his muzzle into the air, the Russian Blue was currently traveling the territory. He traveled every part of this territory so he could usually tell where he was. He was actually supposed to usually travel with others since obviously he couldn't see but he hated being forced to travel with others when they just took pity on him. He pressed his nose against the grass, he perked his ears as he started to picture his surroundings. No matter how hard he tried he would never know what the grass or river looked like. The tom sighed and continued to walk.

Lotusheart was going on her daily stroll. She tried to get out a little more to get used to being out as a warrior once more. Well, mostly a warrior. She planned on sticking around the nursery most of the time. She wasn't ready for her little bundles of joy to leave the nursery. She knew they would all grow independently and wouldn't visit her often and alas, even if she wants to, she could not have another liter of kittens. Fogstep was gone and it left her alone. The Maine Coon was hoping she did a good job raising them without their father. They'd never have that true father figure around and that upset her, but she did good. She got them this far. Now, she just wanted them to stay alive. She wanted them to have kits one day and feel the joy she did raising them. With her thoughts bouncing around in her head, she wasn't exactly paying attention to where she was going and in fact she wasn't aware she was headed straight into a cat she knew. Her green hues were lifted towards the sky, blinking whenever leaves from a tree broke her line of vision.

The ebony tom was, as well, completely oblivious to his surroundings. His senses seemed to have dulled once he closed his eyes; sight, obviously, was not an option... but even the sounds and scents of the territory seemed to have disappeared. It was too relaxing; there was no way that he could be efficient during this time. Something brought his attention away from the silent and serenity that he was experiencing, and he could see a familiar form coming closer. Opening his maw to speak, Jasperpelt suddenly stopped as he realized he wasn't sure whether she knew she wasn't alone or not. If he were to speak now, was it going to startle her? Either way, he would have to be careful; if she were to suddenly see him, it might scare her as well. Against the trees and bushes of the territory, the tom looked sort of like just a plain lump... and it could be rather frightening when that particular lump opened his maw and began to hold a conversation with you. And while it hurt when other cats would be startled, or run away, he could understand that. Deciding it would be better to make her aware of his presence before she accidentally walked into him or he scared her, the dark feline opened his maw again. "Lotusheart!" Hoping that it was, indeed, her. The most embarassing thing would be if he were talking to the wrong cat.

May as well be your sister," she joked, smiling almost sarcastically, tail twitching above the surface of the slush puddle. Her own white underbelly was now a complete murky slate, and she looked less like Cloversplash and more like an aging elder. Slowing her pace, she let Swampstone lead; he had always portrayed a sort of odd confidence, like an older brother who was responsible and willing to take care of others. Even though she was older, and maybe even more experienced, she still let him take the lead; the more practice he got, especially in unideal conditions, the better of a warrior he could become.

A sudden sound perked her attention; her ears snapped forward unintentionally, an immediate subconscious reaction to moons upon moons spent hunting in the wild. Simultaneously, her muscles stiffened to prevent further noise on her part, a leg held frozen in the air, poised to step again into the muck. Cloversplash opened her mouth, and the sharp, tangy scent of fresh prey flooded her her nose and tongue, tantalizing and fresh. The aging warrior glanced over at her young companion; he too seemed intent on their quarry. She crept after him, stalking silently and surely, ready to bring back even the scrappiest of food items. The ice beyond the half-frozen pond was stiff, allowing for both of them to put their weight on it without fear of crashing into water below. Every noise made her pause, muscles locking up, eyes intent and focused on whatever may come. Suddenly, in a flurry of movement, Swampstone jumped, and came down onto the terrain below, breaking the delicate layer of ice, revealing more packed snow. But, in another flash second, she realized that there were not one mice, but a near colony of them, rare but necessary in the cold of winter; one alone might die, but a group could survive the freeze.

Without a thought, Cloversplash sprung forward, hind legs tensing, and then releasing suddenly, forcing her forward a good few feet. There was one just in front of her, all squeaking and scurrying to escape the predators. She catapulted onto it, attempting the same technique of leaping. She landed practically on top of their prey, and with a quick nip, it was silenced.
(Sorry, tis gonna be a little short because I'm super tired)

Swampstone was surprised when more than one mouse scurried out from their hiding place, but was still able to spring instantly into action. His jaws already around one, he used his paws at well. His heavy paw slammed down on another, breaking the small creature's neck at impact. He attempted another with his next paw, but missed, however he was still amazed and joyed to have caught two in the first place.
The tom cracked a rare smile and actually laughed, the cold forgotten for the moment. "What luck," He mused, looking at Cloversplash's own catch. The warrior took ahold of both of the mice by the tails, and although they were skinny, it would be quite the meal for this time of the year. "We can feed a few queens and kits with these," He meowed, happy they had managed to find the little clan of mice.
He turned his gaze to Cloversplash, the smile disappearing, but the happy-ish expression staying in place. "Should we head back? I'm sure they'd appreciate a warm meal for once." The tom was still completely brown woth mud and pretty cold, but that wasn't going to be able to put a damper on his mood now that they had been on a successful hunting trip. Besides, his fur could always be delt with later when they were back within the safety and warmth of camp and the warriors den.

After all, he'd be spending a lot of time with the tom, right? Quillpaw didn't have any friends.

His ears twitched at the familiar names, and he even cocked his head slightly to the side as he concentrated on trying to remember who the names belonged to. And then it hit him - he knew those names! Wasn't Russetstar a leader? The leader of... ShadowClan? No... What was it? Know what? Worry about it later. Quillpaw simply nodded and smiled warmly in response to Spicepaw, as if he knew what the tom was talking about. As soon as his friend was finished talking, Quillpaw chirped, ``Wow! What a life!`` Spicepaw's words seemed to of gone in one ear and out the other - or, that's what appeared to of happened. In reality, he remembered what Spicepaw had said, but his mind was much too jumbled to focus on a certain piece of information. In the future, when the information was important, it would surely make itself visible.

He offered a small bounce of excitement, his tail waving behind him. His restlessness shimmered in his baby blue eyes, though that doesn't mean that his actions didn't show it. His paws repeatedly danced with excitement. In order to keep the conversation going, Quillpaw fought to remember just what Spicepaw had told him a few moments before. Wait, who are his sisters? He quickly gave up on remembering, and resorted to the start of a new conversation. ``I just became an apprentice!`` He whispered as if sharing a major secret, leaning closer to Spicepaw. ``This is my first time out of camp! Don't tell anyone, though, because I don't think I'm supposed to be out here alone!`` Quillpaw shot Spicepaw a witty smile and a playful wink, almost like he were playing a dangerous game without a care in the world.
At Quillpaw's excitement of being out of camp, Spicepaw couldn't help but actually smile and laugh a little, a small huff of laughter. He should really laugh more, Spicepaw's laugh wasn't all huffy or deep like his voice. It was smooth, loud, and in a medium range. If you were lucky enough to hear Spicepaw's full-on laughter, you wouldnt recognize the normally gruff tomcat. His laughter can bring laughter. But, unfortunately, he was on the more serious side. But this tom, who was so smiley and happy, just made Spicepaw want to laugh. He didn't know why, maybe was something about he way he said things, or the way his eyes seemed to brighten up whenever he talked. Whatever it was, Spicepaw could already feel himself starting to enjoy the other cat's company. And he didn't enjoy many cats company, they were sparse and few in between.

"Well I remember my first time out of camp." Spicepaw flicked his ears, not daring to say anymore. His first time out of camp was not as exciting as Quillpaw's was going. The russet toms first outing had led to him almost being drowned, and then being stranded far away from home. He did not want to remember it. Once again that small, amused smile overcame Spicepaw's face at Quillpaw's next words. "Well, I'm pretty sure if you're out here with me, you're allowed. I'm a ten moon old apprentice, so that's close enough to warrior, right?" Spicepaw meowed, cocking his head to the side and giving Quillpaw a look of mock agreement with his own words. "Do you want me to show you around the territory?"

I really just offered that? Spicepaw actually didn't know if he would usually ask a new apprentice if they wanted him to show them around. He'd never really had the chance before. Spicepaw cast his yellow-green gaze around their surrounding area, before settling it back on Quillpaw. He wondered again how one cat could be so happy. Spicepaw wished he could be like that, seemingly without a care in the world. But no, he had too many things to deal with right now. Especially with his whole family drama. Spicepaw didn't want to be a part of it. He was dragged in it, and willing to help on his mother's behalf, and possibly his littermate's, but otherwise, Spicepaw avoided it like a sick cat. But he shouldn't think about that right now. Right now, he was out in the territory, with only Quillpaw, who was funny, and happy. Spicepaw wanted to relish this moment of freedom from reality, so he would make the best of it.
