All the sounds that everyone could hear, were all muffled to the Abyssinian. All the things that everyone else could see, were hidden from her view. This had become just another usual day for Caracalpaw. It seemed as though this was how every day started. Lying in her nest, blocking everything out. She was missing out on important training, and instead spent her day moping. But it was just too hard to change. The she-cat didn’t think she wanted to change her current ways. Even if it meant she wasn’t contributing to her clan and proving herself to her clan mates, all this moping gave her plenty of time to think.

She knew what she wanted to think about, and she did. Her thoughts were dark. They were ones that included acts of evil. Caracalpaw was an apprentice that normally went for the peaceful way, but some things could not be let slip. Her mentor’s death for example. ThunderClan had been the fault of the situation. It was all their fault that Shrikecall was dead. It was all their fault that her new mentor was the same cat that’d replaced his position as deputy. Yes, although it was an honour to be apprenticed to the deputy, Caracalpaw deeply disliked Onyxwhisper.

Every time someone dared to mention the name ThunderClan in her presence, Caracalpaw found herself ready to murder everything in sight. She was basically going crazy. She felt as though her sanity was being stripped away from her. Maybe that would make her a more dangerous enemy. Maybe that would give her more power if she finally managed to take her revenge on that stupid clan. The chances of her actually avenging her dead, former mentor were slim, but Caracalpaw was unpredictable and quite the ambitious cat. If she wanted something, she was going to aim high and get it. She didn’t give up easily either. Try stop her and she would just push you aside.

Finally, Caracalpaw opened her eyes slowly. She took her paws away from her ears, unsheathing and sheathing her claws in and out. Her yellows orbs lay unblinking as she stared out from where she lay in her nest. She placed her paws in the spots beside her, not moving any other muscle. Honestly, the she-cat looked rather scary. Her yellows eyes stood out in the dimness of the apprentice’s den. Slowly, the she-cat turned onto her side, staring at whatever nests were in front of her.

A quiet voice broke through the thoughts that ran through her mind. It was strangely familiar. That’s right! It belonged to the idiotic apprentice she’d met a moon or two ago. The she-cat’s nose wrinkled with disgust as her ears flattened, trying to block out that dreaded voice. "Camelpaw? Who’s Camelpaw?” Caracalpaw asked, her voice dangerously quiet. Perhaps it was just her, but the she-cat had a feeling that ‘Camelpaw’, might be her.
Spiralpaw didn't take notice to the other apprentice. He was too lost in his own world, about ready to nap for the day. And, the bump on his head wasn't working well with him. He wasn't that intelligent of a tom. He did reckless things, but his heart was always good. Although sometimes his intentions weren't the best. It was as if he did everything unintentionally without realizing until it was too late.

Slowly, he brought up his head, and his eyes met the familiar hues of the female apprentice that looked like she wanted to kill him. Devour his soul with her eyes. For a moment, Spiralpaw was scared of her form, but gradually he relaxed. He had every right to be here. Who was she to tell him what to do? So, if she was here first. They were of the same rank. They both had the right to be here.

Spiralpaw debated on whether he would go up to her, or if he would stay there; sleep and ignore her. Another part of him knew it was fun to be bother her. She seemed to get annoyed easily, but as he watched from a distance, taking note of her actions--something was off about her.

He just didn't know what.

It was such a sad thing that their deputy was lost. Thunderclan was in for it, for sure. They were bullies to Spiralpaw, and Spiralpaw hated bullies. Worse than Camelpaw...? Why could the tom never remember names like he were suppose to? He haven't seen her for a while, so why would he remember it? His yellow hues flickered to another part of the den. So much had happened within Windclan that he couldn't even begin to start where. It was sad, tragic, and Blazingstar must be going insane or became very agitated with the mess of Thunderclan. "Someone needs to put them in their spot." He mewed to himself from his nest.

And, it was true. Someone had to put Thunderclan deep in a hole where they would never find a way out. That would show them who was boss. And, messing with Windclan was never the answer. They were born fast and agile. Spiralpaw knew he was quite the fast tom himself. Oh, how his mother used to boast about his skills ever since he were a kit!

Eventually the tom looked back up again, staring at the form of the other apprentice in the den. Maybe he wanted a nap, and begged Starclan from one. Maybe he wanted to know what was wrong with her. Genuinely wrong with her. Maybe he could fix it! Spiralpaw loved helping others. After some time, the brindle colored tom passed towards her, taking small steps as he quietly made his way towards her nest. Since, he had a hard time getting her name, and for some odd reason he knew he didn't get it correct beforehand. It wasn't Camelpaw wasn't it? His ears had pinned to his head. He was ready to hear a mouth load of insults from her if the time came. "Hey!" He mewed cheerfully. "You look like you could use the company," he paused. This would be a great time to say her name, but he ignored that fact straightaway. "Behold! Here I am to make your day better." He bowed his head, playfully. "Missed me?" He says, looking up at her with a confident grin.

And nothing too bad had happened except the two times that Midgepaw had fallen into a panic attack and nearly attacked their friend, Rushpaw. Those had never happened to Midgepaw before meeting the older tom cat, and Midgepaw hoped that they would never happen again, but the dappled apprentice felt deep inside that they would happen again, and it could only get worse from Midgepaw Midgepaw blinked and returned to reality, gazing around for a moment. They shot Dewpaw a grateful glance as she yet again introduced them to someone, but they were also somewhat embarrassed that they hadn't done it themselves, even when they knew their voice would've failed them if they tried. Midgepaw blinked uncertainly, then dipped their head. “N-nice to meet you, too. .” Midge said in a deep but wavering voice, sizing up the older apprentice with wary yellow eyes. The fur along Midgepaw's spine was standing up, and after they'd realized this, they quickly forced it flat again, raising their scarred leg the way they always did when they were rather unsure and wary of what was going on.

( Sorry it's so late! )
(It's totally fine)

Sparrowpaw noticed how wary Sparrowpaw was and hoped he had done nothing wrong. He scuffed his paws in the dirt self-consciously, but he smiled at the she-cat. "I hope we get to train together sometime," he said, hoping that those words cleared up anything that the apprentice had against him. "It's nice to have met you. When you get a mentor, tell me." He turned to leave but smirked over his shoulder. "Oh, and watch out for Duskpaw," he warned her. "He doesn't take easily to new cats."
Dewpaw rolled her eyes at the tom and turned back to Midgepaw, her bright blue eyes sparkling at the mention of her brother. "Don't listen to him! Duskpaw's a really nice cat if you get to know him." She looked around camp. "He disappears for long times, though, even when his mentors not around. Only StarClan knows where he is," she huffed.
She often thought of Duskpaw as a nice cat, despite what some of her Clanmates said. it was true, though, that she never knew where Duskpaw went for long hours during the day, returning exhausted at night. She seemed to be the only one that ever noticed, but she never attempted to question him about it because she didn't want to make the only family member she had left mad.

Though, it was hard to match an expression if you didn't know what it was. She knew it was good. His gaze was soft, like how Singe normally looked at her, last time she had needed ti confide in him. Love? Was....was that it? Love....it was something she hadn't seen in a cats eyes in quite some time. There was a friends love, one that she had received from Amya last time she saw her. There was a sisters love, like she saw from Brindlepaw. Their was a prideful love, like Singe gave her when she did good. But this.... This was that kind of love that made you feel wanted, accepted, and almost needed.

Forestpaw was lost in his eyes, the question almost completely forgotten. She continued staring at him, her pale green eyes softening as well, but the question did come back to mind. "Umm, I dint really know." She mumbled quietly. She had never really thought about the question. "Um, I guess I'm strong? Broken always congratulated me and told me I had guts, that I was strong." She suggested, not knowing what to say. She had no idea what good others saw in her, or what good she saw in herself. "But that was what I did. I don't consider that good..."

She dropped her gaze to her oaws after seeing the pushing sense, the smear of trying to get herself to see she was worthy. She didn't know... "What good do I have?" She asked him, looking back up, pastel green hues filled with eagerness to know. There had to be somethings she didn't see right? Maybe Mumblenose, seeing from a different point of view, would see more of it. Maybe he saw something in her that she couldn't see for herself.
Mumblenose gently nudged Forestpaw's cheek, offering her a softly encouraging purr. His torso seemed to rumble with his gently rumbling purr, and his body disturbed the earth below him when he moved to nudge his granddaughter. He decided to relieve her with some honest facts, ``Every cat finds it challenging to judge themselves, and those who do... They often judge themselves in a negative light.`` His words were ones of wisdom, ones of truth. If Mumblenose were to judge himself; well, he wouldn't have some very nice words to share.

``You are...`` Mumblenose paused, narrowing his eyes in concentration as he studied Forestpaw. He wanted to see her reaction to what he would say. ``My granddaughter. You are kind, willing to help others, and strong, in a mental way. I see you are struggling with who you are, but your strength will help carry you through. You are one to fight for what you believe is right, which is an extremely valuable trait to own in this world. You are intelligent, and your smarts will play a role in getting you to amazing places.``

He briefly paused, before continuing with speaking before Forestpaw could interfere. ``You are so much more, Forestpaw, and I just wish you would realize that.`` Mumblenose smiled softly. ``So many of us believe in you. You have your entire family behind you - me, your parents, your siblings...`` He trailed off, noticing how he'd only said `me` and not `your grandparents`. He cleared his throat, turning away from Forestpaw as he shifted his position. His pelt felt warm, still tangled with Forestpaw's fur. Finally, he looked back down at his kin, a faraway look in his yellow-green eyes. ``I'm assuming that since you've never heard of me before this meeting, you've never heard of your grandmother?`` Mumblenose strongly felt that telling Forestpaw of Bliss' story would somehow help. Maybe it would help Forestpaw feel closer to her kin? Maybe it would fuel her strength? Who knows, he simply felt his grandchildren owned the right to know of their grandmother.

Her tail whisked behind her nonchalantly, and she held her head high. Every step was near silent, though she was not hunting. She had been hunting, but after embarrassingly losing a specifically swift rabbit, she decided to play it cool and act as if she were on a simple stroll. If anyone had seen her dramatic loss - she freaked when the rabbit slipped from her paws - she would play it like the rabbit had come out of nowhere, startling her.

Normally, she would've brought her apprentice out in the territory with her, but she had many rather severe thoughts on her mind. Such as the tomcat she met just a few days ago - Blazingstar. He had played in a role in her flirting game, unlike most other toms who believed her flirting to be serious attraction. He interested Fawnskip, and she yearned to learn more about the flirtatious tom. She wanted to know why he played her game. After all, nobody else was willing to play such a dangerous game while knowing what they were playing. It was a game of deceit when the opponent had no clue they were playing, but it was a game of risk when the opponent was very aware of the game. And as far as Fawnskip was aware, Blazingstar played a game of risk, not deceit.

She came to a brief halt, lifting her muzzle to the air in order to scent her surroundings. She let her lower jaw drop slightly when she deceased she'd find prey better if she used two of her senses. Fawnskip smelled fresh scents, scents of heather and wind. She tasted similar scents, scents of the earth. She breathed in the abundance of fresh scents before exhaling heavily. Oh, how she adored WindClan's territory!
Blazingstar had so much on his mind lately. With all the drama between Windclan and Thunderclan, he hadn't had much time to think about anything else. Shrikecall was dead because of them! They needed to strike back, but right now was not the time. The clan needed time to grieve. They needed time to prepare themselves, train up hard, basically prepare for a possible battle. Despite how many cats didn't want a battle to take place, he could promise no one there wouldn't be one. It was better to prepare than go into this unprepared and suffer horribly. With all these thoughts in his head, he was aimlessly wandering Windclan territory. Once again, he was breaking his own rule of no one traveling into the territory alone. It didn't matter to him. He had nine lives to give to his clan, but he didn't want any of his warriors losing their one life because he was careless.
His worries were suddenly swept away by a scent coming upwind from him. It was rather familiar. Now, what was her name. The feline that caught his attention and drove him a little mad by her games. He was no fool though, he wouldn't allow himself to grow attached to her. She was doing the same thing he did all the time. Hard to get. Then it struck him after a few more moments. Fawnskip! and it didn't smell like she was out here with anyone. It was time for Blazingstar to put on his leader face and confront her about this. Or at least attempt to. It'd probably go terribly wrong though, considering he was out here alone himself. Oh well!
Blazingstar trotted towards her scent until she was visible between the tall grass. She was alone. "Look what I found. A rule breaker!" Blazingstar began, hoping that suddenly speaking wouldn't spook her. It'd be quite the sight if he did though so perhaps he wouldn't mind anyway. His fluffy ginger tail was high in the air behind him, showing that he was in a happy mood and not actually mad about this. "I do believe no one's allowed out here by themselves. Especially not she-cats that can't defend themselves very well," There was a hinting tease in his voice and the gleam in his eyes gave away the fact he didn't actually believe what he was saying about her. He knew that she was a warrior that was trained quite well. He wouldn't insult his own warriors in such a way. "I'm just kidding though, you really aren't supposed to be out here all alone," the ginger leader raised a brow and slowed his pace to a walk and he began to circle the pretty calico.

The grass suddenly became shorter, only coming up to just slightly above his paws when it had been brushing his stomach at places. They must cut the grass for some reason... His thoughts didn't linger long on the thought, knowing it was useless because he'd never know why. The clear buidling quickly came into view, and he was joyed to find that he could still see the plants growing inside. "It's still there!" He commented, though Featherpaw had probably seen it herself by then. The tom sped up into a trot, launching himself up onto the fence to take a good look around the perimeter.
Featherpaw looked back over at her friend and smiled at his confidence. "I'm sure you're right." She replied with a smile, before continuing to pad closer to the twoleg yard. She too had noticed the sudden decrease in height of the grass, and cocked her head to the side as she wondered to herself what the purpose would be. Being only about the height of Surgestorm's stomach, in some places it had reached over her head, and she had to hop to see. When her eyes fell upon the twoleg den, she smiled. "It's here!" She meowed in excitement.

Halflash snorted in amusement at her light side's feeble attempt to push the dark side away. "I didn't come back with any prey Light. So just drop it. I don't know how you can be so happy all of the time." Halflash flopped to the ground, a malicious glare overtaking her yellow and blue eyes. Excuse me, but I am you. And right now, I think Dark has had a long enough turn. I mean, look at you! No cats going to want to talk to you with that face sitting on your beautiful features. The feline snorted in mock amusement. "Good."
Oh, come on.... You know you're pretty! You should be out there in the camp, meeting everyone, talking to all of them, being kind." Light's voice emphazized on the word "kind". Halflash simply shook her head. "Get outta here Light. I'm done with you!" She flicked her tail, studying the two different shades of color on it. You can't get rid of me. Again, I am you. Halflash growled in frustration. She hated when she was pestered by her light side. But that was only her dark side thinking.

The light golden tom had been resting outside the brambles of the head quarters where the warriors had resided for the night. Their amber eyes half closed in his attempts to dozy and relax.Which for him it was rather difficult his ears twitching at the constant new sounds that seem to come up. It was something he tended to do wanting to be alerted when he could possibly be needed. The sun rested in the clouded sky just barely shining through to warm just about anyones back. There was a settled light breeze that passed through the hanging leaves of the tree causing them to sway to and fro as if in some sort of command coming from some sort of unknown source. As Halflash had pushed themselves through the clearing entrance in their angered state had fully drawn Sunberry from their state of peace. Watching the molly stomp to some random spot in the oddly empty clearing. Frowning slightly he watched them from a distance as he mumbled slightly to himself “Should I go over and see what's wrong…. It be well…. I don’t want my ears clawed off for disturbing them… hm” It took him the time to debate on whether he should attempt it or not to have him actually get up and pad over. Once seemingly close he dipped his head in a more kind gesture towards the molly who seemed to be at war with themselves. Clearing his throat he said in a soft tone “Is there something bothering you miss? You seemed….. Angered when you came in?” He asked his voice dripped of a faint british accent. His dark amber gaze flashed with concern for a lot of things; as they strongly strained at the molly as the calmly waited for their reply.

SheepKit squealed as her mother bore over her and swiped at her muzzle. Her mothers claws raked across her nose drawing deep gashes. She knew that they wouldn't leave scars. They never did. She scattered towards her medicine cats den but was denied help. "Bad Kits don't deserve help." SpringTalon would always say. At night she gathered a bit of every herb she could and ran. She ran until she found a beautiful moor and curled into a small dip in the ground on what she didn't know was WindClan Territory.

Default Re: WindClan Leader's Den

@Suspiciousmindz

It was coming towards the end of another day, and Moonpaw felt that if she put this off any further she would get cold paws and never follow through. However right now, the young molly stood outside Blazingstar's den taking deep breaths, trying to still her shaking limbs. She had been able to take the bandages off with the help of Tawnypaw, and after seeing what she had looked like underneath, the black and white tabby wished she had kept them on for her meeting with Blazingstar. A gaping black socket sat where her eye with still-fresh skin that was healing. Her ear was completely gone, stredded down to little flaps, and long scars ran the length from her brow bone to the bottom of her face. Heaving a sigh and closing her good eye, Moonpaw made her way into his den.

Once inside, the young apprentice blinked open her blue eye, it widening slightly as she took in her leader's den. She hadn't been in here yet, but it took her breath away for some unknown reason. It seemed to hold so much history of WindClan, and rightfully so; it had been the den of previous leaders before Blazingstar, such as Dapplestar. The flood beneath her was smoothed down by countless pawsteps, and many scent lingered within; some stale and some recently fresh. Her head tilted upwards, admiration shining within the depths of her good eye.

For a moment, she pictured herself maybe moving into this large, comfortable den. To be leader... A sharp pain stabbed her emotionally and tears stung at her eyes. What am I thinking? she averted her gaze, looking down at her paws momentarily. I'll probably just get moved straight to the elders den, there's no way I can be a warrior now. First giving up the opportunity to follow her uncle's pawsteps as the Clan's medicine cat, and now the opportunity to become a loyal WindClan warrior; gone.

Guilt had weight heavily on the young apprentice since her attack, and she had yet to confront those feelings by speaking with Blazingstar. Remebering why she was here, the young molly glanced ahead of her, trying to adjust her eye to be able to see deeper into the dimly lit den. "Blazingstar?" she called, her voice echoing off the walls around her. "I-It's Moonpaw. Could I talk to you for a moment?" Her voice sounded so distant and small to her own ears, and she hated how this attack had taken away a little bit of her usually upbeat and cheerful personality.

She silently crept along the windy moor, checking for any changes in the way the wind was blowing. { sorry, not very good at starter posts X/3 }
(its purrfect <3)
Outstretching his golden paw with each stride he took this hunter was searching for something to bring back to his clanmates. His jaw gaped open as he scented the air for any chances of catching something worthwhile. His amber gaze shifted around the field in his attempts to stay alerted his ears perked at all times. His surroundings was truly worth spending the time in the beating sun. Usually during this time of year it was a more gray and rainy season nothing but grumpys and the general soul sucking mood but today it was a more good day the sun was warm and welcoming the sky filled with all but the cotton ball like clouds no signs of a threat for rain. Sighing softly he watched the thin long strands of grass sway at the breezes command coming from some unknown source he tend to wonder how that was such a thing. Hearing a shuffle of some sort he noticed a small young hare off in the distances. The small brown creature was nibbling away on a snack minding its own busy. Smiling he dropped down into a crouch the same routine of such was worn into his bones like clockwork, never seeming to end. Creeping up on the creature was a hefty task for some the worry of making one mistake in a paw placement could send the creature running. Holding back his breath slightly he was close enough to pounce, giving himself enough strength and room he jumped for it catching the hare in a nick of time. Swiftly taking a nip at the neck he drew a tongue over his maw a light satisfying purr erupted from his chest in his achievement. Picking it up he decided to make his way to the creek not to far off from where he was to get a rather refreshing drink before his walk back to camp. With a small bounce in his footsteps he drew closer to the small trickling stream, not to far was a small molly his ears perked as he dipped his head in greetings not sure if they saw that to begin with. Settling down he kept his prey close as he took a few laps at the cold water a cold feeling flared in his body as the refreshment of this was truly something he was looking for.

Onyxwhisper knew that sadness and anger for many moons before she joined Windclan, the black she-cats ears perked as the Abyssinian stalked closer. The deputy didn't seem to the bother by the tone of the younger cats voice, only her ears twitched in response. "Yes, would you like to go for a walk? Or would you rather talk here?" She mewed in a gentle but firm tone. Although she knew what the apprentice was going through she wasn't going to let her push her around. She would help Caracalpaw through the grieving but she wasn't going to let her sulk around camp all day, that was no way to live. Onyxwhisper wasted so many years sulking and being angry at every cat, until she sucked it up and forced the changed that she had been waiting to happen. She was determined to not let Caracalpaw waste her life on anger and sadness.
Perhaps she was being just a tad bit unfair. She couldn’t help it though. It wasn’t like she had tried before, but if she tried to like her mentor, she would get nowhere. The she-cat clearly disliked the deputy and she wasn’t afraid to show it. Caracalpaw was defiant and bold, she didn’t care what others thought about her and her actions. The anger was clear in her yellow hues and it hatred radiated off her. It was palpable.
"We can talk here,” Caracalpaw muttered, her teeth gritting as she finished speaking. Nowadays, any words that she spoke were curt and dark. There was no light at the end of this tunnel. All the happiness in her had been whipped away and the hidden darkness within her had taken its place. At this point, the Abyssinian was happy to let herself be driven by darkness. She didn’t try to be happy. She was fine with letting hatred dominate her emotions.

It was quite obvious that the she-cat had chosen to stay in the camp to talk. She didn’t want to be anywhere else. Caracalpaw normally stayed in the camp anyway. She hadn’t been out into the territory for quite a while. She refused to go out there. Although it wouldn’t be noticed by most cats, everything out there seemed to remind her of Shrikecall. Training with the tom had been fun. What would training with Onyxwhisper be like? Boring? Simple? Bland? The she-cat didn’t know and she didn’t want to know. She was probably just going to receive a bunch of lectures about fighting. The thought was enough to make Caracalpaw roll her eyes, despite the fact that Onyxwhisper was right in front of her. Lectures wouldn’t be challenging at all. The she-cat wanted something that would push her. Something that would drive her forward and make her stronger.

Cats bustled past one another their tail flickering in the air as they went about their daily chores. Making a face he let out a huff shaking his head a tad bit before he caught wind of the more secluded area. There resided a more grumpy looking molly, weighing his option of certain interaction opposed to a more quiet area with a mean looking cat felt like a more better option than a pointless chatter. Perking his ears slightly he made his way towards the area his tail dragged slightly in the sandy ground causing a small trail to be imprinted in the area. Once he was remotely close to where the molly was he dipped his head in greeting before shuffling a little ways away from her before getting comfortable in his little area not wanting to disturb the molly what so ever nor did he had any plans to do such things. Letting out a content sigh he closed his eyes once more in a more calming look quite enjoying the sudden quietness that washed over him since he had moved away from the crowd. The light breeze tugged against the ground causing the somewhat grassed area to follow at its will the light whistle that came with it sung lightly in his ears as he studied the sounds around him as he tried his best to tune certain sounds out the best he could possibly get away with. He had to admit he was enjoying this quite a lot he just hoped the molly wouldn’t make him leave or get rather upset for him opposing her area to begin with.
[It’s fine!]
Through narrowed, green hues, Winterwisp watched the tom cautiously. It was as if she expected him to suddenly jump at her and maul her to death. Well, that was quite accurate. The she-cat was quite paranoid. You could trust her to be cautious of everyone. There was something about this tom that gave the warrior a strange feeling. A feeling that was telling her to not trust this tom. Of course, she told herself this every single time she came across a cat, new or not. But this time, she meant it differently. She was telling herself that they was something particularly suspicious about the tom. Perhaps it was because he had sat in an area that was quite close to her. Although she would never say it aloud, this tom looked smart enough to stay away from a cat like her. But maybe he didn’t know how cruel she could be?

Winterwisp felt her jaw clench as he dipped his head in greeting to her. She didn’t like it when cats made some sort of gesture to her. She didn’t like it when others did anything that included her. She especially didn’t like it that this tom was invading ‘her’ space. She quickly jumped to her paws and padded over to the tom.
"I don’t mean to rude, but I would appreciate it if you move yourself over there,” Winterwisp snarled softly, using her tail to point to a rather crowded area of the camp. She wanted to think to herself in peace. Although this tom hadn’t spoken to her or done anything noisy, she was disturbed by the small fact that he was just there. It was creeping her, even if he had only sent a brief glance in her direction.
