Since when could the she-cat ever get away from anything without being seen? She wasn’t very good at being subtle. She was just too clumsy to get away with anything quietly. The fighter had been born as a naturally clumsy cat. That wouldn’t be changing any time soon either.

Just the mere thought of Bella walking around and doing everything gracefully made her whiskers twitch in amusement. That was just stupid. The Havana brown didn’t have the slightest idea how she could ever be graceful, but she wasn’t going to think too hard on it. She was probably going to stay a clumsy cat forever. Perhaps she was exaggerating. Forever was a long time. Maybe ‘til death’ was a better set of words. Probably not. She was mostly likely going to stay as clumsy as ever even in the afterlife.

Don’t look up. Don’t look up, Bella told herself. It wasn’t just the eyes of that tom that she wanted to avoid. The dark brown fighter wanted to avoid making eye contact with anyone in this creepy place. Just the sight of seeing other cats here and there sent shivers running down her spine. Would it be wrong of Bella to think that someone might try and murder her soon?

Maybe, just maybe she wouldn’t be noticed by everyone. Surely that wouldn’t be hard? After all, Bella was quite a reserved cat. She didn’t socialise with others very often and she was happy to keep it that way. The she-cat was cautious when it came to choosing her friends. She was willing to talk, but she wasn’t as willing to trust someone. Not everyone gave off that safe feeling when you were around them.

The she-cat continued to keep her yellow gaze on her paws when a voice broke through. It was quite a deep voice, but it was smooth at the same time. I guess it didn’t work, Bella thought, pushing back down a sigh. With her head still down, she put on a cold glare. With that done, she lifted her head, her expression calm and cold but adrenaline pumping through her. Yellow hues looked back at hazel ones as Bella met the gaze of the stranger.

For a split second, Bella’s cold expression dropped but she quickly hardened it again. From afar, the tom had been quite good looking, but now that he was up close to her, he looked even better. He was mesmerizing. It was taking all the she-cat’s willpower to not drop the cold look and put on a warm one. She had to stay guarded. For all she knew, this tom could be the death of her. She had to stay alert, nothing could be allowed to push past her walls.

“Not normally,” Bella replied. The Havana brown took a sharp intake of breath as her yellow orbs momentarily drifted from his eyes before making them fly back to them. Concentrate Bella. You don’t want to look like a creep, she told herself. Without realising it, her tail was wrapping tighter and tighter around her paws. She couldn’t help it though. The tom was just beautiful.
The ginger tabby tom gave her an awkward look. She seemed to be hiding something, but he knew that it wasn't his place to coax it out of her. Oh, no. Why would he need to do that? Crimson was an excellent conversationalist if given the chance. He rarely chose to talk. Only allowing the cold expressions to take over him as he brooded on how the world was too gloomy, how the good cats always won, how everything worked in the favor of the clans. Oh, yes...the clans. The recent battle that took place must not have been fun. Honestly, Crimson was happy that they were defeated. He didn't know why, but he was happy. For some odd reason he refused to disclose.

The tom watched the Havana brown. She was an interesting sight to behold indeed. Another odd reason he could not place. He knew he was definitely attracted to her. The way she looked to be so scared, shivering under her pelt. Was it because he looked malicious? Pessimistic? Any of the negative sort? So, instead of choking it out of her. The tom knew it would be too easy to pin her down and ask it of her. But, he wasn't that type of tom. So...violent. He had other way to approach the ordeal, like using his charm. She seemed to be staring for a reason. Would he take that to his advantage? Certainly.

The tom slunk behind her until he reached her other side, just close enough to peer into her lovingly yellow eyes. He wasn't that extremely close to her, to the point where it would make her feel uncomfortable. He wanted to charm her, not frighten her. Not make her run away, thinking he would do anything to her. ''Oh, that's a shame,'' He turned his hazel orbs to another corner, then slightly turned them back, catching a glimpse of her chocolate colored fur. He allowed his eyes to roam her figure before he jumped them to another view.

''I'm sure anyone with your eyes shouldn't mind being staring at. It's an honor, really.'' He sat down, bringing his paw up for a gentle lick. The tom wasn't normally a flirt, but the way he was being charming had to put a shame to other natural flirts. The fact he didn't know he was flirting played a huge part in his ways. He noticed the way the Havana brown was sitting. So tightly, so tensed to herself that it amused him to a point. ''You seem so tensed,'' He says, his voice maintaining it's deep smoothness that it always had. Why was she so tensed? What was there to be tensed about?

Crimson's ears had flicked, and he sat down loosely. Not wrapping his tail around him. Instead, he kept it unwrapped, and limply askew behind him. ''I don't bite, you know.'' He let a deep chuckle surpass him as he flickered his hazel orbs her way. ''Unless, I have to.'' He added, his voice taking on a more dangerous turn. Even though he met more of it in a playful manner. When it came to his deep voice, his stoic expressions, anyone would know that it was hard to tell if he had been playing.

Calmly, and smoothly, he scooted a tad bit closer to her. ''May I ask what is your name?''

Maybe she could befriend this cat. Yes, that sounded like a good idea. If she was going to live here, she might as well try to gain a friend or two. This tom looked like a friendly cat. Friendly enough for her liking that is. The small smile that sat on his maw was enough to make her melt, but she refused to do anything of the sort. How strange would it be if she just sat there watching him smile. Probably weird enough to scare the tom away. Then she would’ve lost her chance at making a new friend. She needed to put on a good image. But at the same time, she needed to make sure that she was being herself. There was nothing worse than having a friend that thought you were someone you weren’t.

The more she thought about it, the more terrible it sounded. Looks could be deceiving. Bella shouldn’t trust the tom so easily. He could easily betray her if he became her friend. She didn’t need betrayal in any form in her life. It was already miserable enough. Friendship was a dangerous path to walk on. There were so many things that could ruin your walk. Thorns stabbed as hard as betrayal did and flowers drew you in.

"Is it?” Bella asked, her voice uncertain and genuinely confused. It wasn’t quite the response she had been expecting. It made the Havana brown think. Was he hiding something? What was the meaning hidden in the words that he spoke? What was he concealing behind his good looks and charming smile? Her yellow hues narrowed slightly. Even if this tom seemed friendly, the fighter was going to be careful when it came to trusting him. The she-cat didn’t like having secrets kept from her, but she wouldn’t normally go out of her way to find out one.

A few moments later, she found the answer to the questions that raced through her mind. That’s what he had meant? Well that was….flattering. Bella was about to put on a warm smile and let down her guard when she suddenly stopped before she did so. No, she couldn’t let this tom get past her defences so easily. What are you doing? Bella thought, not quite sure if she was talking about herself or the tom. She couldn’t let herself be wrapped around his paw just like that. Honestly, the she-cat found herself with the suspicion that he might be hypnotising her. It was very unlikely, however the fighter had a wild imagination when it came to finding a reason. "Thanks? I guess….”.

"Uh….” Bella trailed, not quite sure if the tom was joking or not. The statement was one that was normally said in a joking tone, but the cat’s deep voice made it hard to tell. "I would prefer to keep my fur intact,” Bella finally responded. Seeing as she wasn’t sure whether to say something in a playful manner or not, she had just decided to be polite. She wouldn’t want to anger him after all. He looked like one of those cats that were very intimidating when they were angry.

Bella felt her jaw clench as the tom scooted closer to her. It was a rather uncomfortable situation, yet strangely enough, she was enjoying this conversation. It wasn’t very often that someone payed so much attention to her. "Bella,” She replied, gazing into his hazel eyes. She was basically lost in them when suddenly she snapped back into reality and looked for something else on his face to stare at. Like his nose.

It wasn’t very often that someone payed so much attention to her. "Bella,” She replied, gazing into his hazel eyes. She was basically lost in them when suddenly she snapped back into reality and looked for something else on his face to stare at. Like his nose.
''Bella...'' The ginger tom flicked his ears. He allowed the name to register in his mind. It was a pretty name. Not odd like the other she cats he met within the Syndicate. It made him feel a bit...suspicious. Never having to hear a name like that, but he shrugged it off. ''It's a beautiful name.'' He commented, but he looked away. He didn't want to stare openly at her. It was a simple conversation between the two.

''What...inspired your mother to give you the name?'' He asked. It was a simple question. He just wanted to get to know her. The tom felt that she didn't need to know his name. The fact that she didn't ask for, and the fact she didn't need it. He was quite conniving like that. Believing that he must be mysterious to anyone he met. Besides that, he never wanted to conversation to be focused on him. Wasn't it just fun to get to know other cats? Especially when cats had no intentions on getting to know him?

The way she talked, soft, sweet...the tom didn't want her to lose that edge. However, he could sense that she was guarding herself. From what? Did she not trust him? Maybe, she had an entire reason to. He wouldn't know, that was for sure, but he could tell as he sat next to her, and scanned the crowd in front of them. The other cats, going about their business hardly bothered him. As he sat alone in a corner, he was never noticed. Which was good to him. The tom liked the quietness. The stillness. The silence.

''I hope I'm not scaring you.'' He turned to look at her, his whiskers quivered at her response. ''You intrigue me, Bella. All I wish to do is get to know you.'' It wasn't normal for him to get to know other she cats. Most times he would brush them away. Or, they wouldn't notice him. Of course, that had to be lie. They did notice him, but because of his rough nature, they chose not to talk to him. ''No harm in doing that, hm?'' His voice kept its charming touch. And, his hazel eyes gleamed for a moment as he took a quick look at her.

Crimson couldn't tell how Bella felt. For all he knew, she was probably annoyed with his presence, but based on her answers, the way her tone worked. He knew he had her somewhat under his spell. She was putting on a front. She had to. Crimson wasn't the most skilled cat in the Syndicate, but he knew when others wanted to act tough when they really wasn't. He knew when others were lying, and it weren't the true. He had a chilling nature to himself that made him look cold...when really he wasn't. However, it was a front that most did not know. And, since they did not know him, why not use it?

The tom shifted his position, so now he was sitting comfortable allowing his muscles to flex and breathe. He let out small breaths of content as the world around them slowly went on. ''What would happen to your fur? I'm sure you're a fighter. You look like you wouldn't let anyone mess with you.'' He asked, his eyes dancing with amusement, but his voice stayed the same. He found her amusing--who knew she could take a joke? Especially when it came from him. He sounded serious when he said it, but he wasn't being serious.

Crimson allowed his hazel eyes to roam the dark color of her pelt. ''I bet it's warm, though. Do you share?'' It was a nice conversation that they were having so far. So far, she seemed interesting, and therefore he allowed himself to settle down, and enjoy what ever would had next with them. He didn't want to come off as a shadowed figure, frightening her out her senses. Oh no, that wasn't his character. He only put on the mask because others assume much about him being evil. Being violent. Truthfully, he was somewhat violent. Only when he was extremely angry. He packed that down, so no one would be able to see that demonic side of him come out.

Ebony had quickly slunk away after the dismissal from Arrow. She still wanted to be hopeful, but she had very little trust and the conversation had left her mind spinning. She wasn't the best at reading social cues and couldn't decide whether or not he genuinely wanted to spend time with her. At the same time she felt that desperate young cat within her surge forward in hopes of recruiting a companion. The two sides together made her head ache when she went to sleep, or rather closed her eyes and spun through the conversation about twenty times before falling into a restless sleep.

The lithe black feline didn't feel much better when she woke at sunset either. At first she sprung into a quick panic, thinking that it was a little too dark out and she might be late, but once she had her head out the den entrance she realized that she was fine. There was still maybe a half hour of daylight left, not that she truly knew it that precisely, Ebony simply knew she had some time more than she had other nights. Which meant that she could be first to her stump hopefully waiting. She liked her chest a few times before picking up a brisk pace over to her spot in the clearing. She needed a few minutes of grooming to get her sleep-matted pelt back to its glossy state.

Her mismatched eyes happily settled upon her empty stump, but once again she remained at its base. The weather was warm now, full on green leaf. She wouldn't need the dryness of her stump for awhile now. The charcoal feline stretched out on her side and set to work quickly. She liked to impress with her looks, so she wanted every hair in place by the time Arrow showed up. Though that could be any second. Which had her in a bit of a fluster as she was still unsure of his intentions. Though she was also eager in case he was a more sensible cat than most around here.
Arrow approached the stump where he had met Ebony earlier in the day - now coming back for an evening meeting. He was still wary of what she wanted, but hopeful that perhaps there were cats in the Syndicate who had the ability to be kind... or, at least, more so then they seemed. For most of his life Arrow had been told that everyone in the Syndicate was going to hurt him. But Tundra hadn't seemed that way, and perhaps Ebony wouldn't do anything to him either. Spotting the black feline, he was surprised to see that she was already fairly well groomed... still working, but most of her pelt was glossy and sleek. Making his presence known by shifting his weight a little more loudly then needed, the tom sat nearby and curled his tabby tail around his paws. "Good evening." At least he was being polite. The courtious tone in his voice was obvious, thank goodness.

Still he didn't know what kind of a relationship Ebony had with her brother, the much-dreaded Hannibal. Good? Bad? Neutral? Any one of those could easily get him killed, depending on his interactions with the solid colored cat. Her differently colored hues unsettled him sometimes, but you couldn't really go very far in the Syndicate and not find someone with a unique appearance or personality. Arrow was perfectly happy to say that he was "normal" by any other terms except for here, and he wouldn't really want to be normal here anyways. Not in a place whose idea of a good time was killing. Death seemed to be on everyone's mind nowadays, after the recent killing of Boreas and since Halite hadn't chosen a new Co-Commander yet, Arrow was hoping to stay out of sight. He was definitely not looking fowards to 'getting used to' them.

@Liquoris

Domino had been sitting outside the nursery four about four minutes. Examining as those passed by. Glaring at him. He was the son of onyx, someone who was said to be truly terrifying. Though domino never got the formal chance to meet his father he got enough nasty looks he expected him to be famous enough that his father would have been good to have around. Though he didn't mind. He didn't ow him, he didn't care. He needn't care. The small kit yawned and stretched out, his small teeny claws picking at the sparse patches of grass that was around the clearing. He felt the need to explore, but rarely had he ever done so alone. He had always had his sister nearby to do so. He cat a glance over his shoulder intot he nursery just behind him. He blinked.
She wasn't close to the entrance. Which was obvious unless she was hiding. Which she often seemed remarkable at. He shuffled and stares at the entrance of the nursery. Wherever she was he knew she wouldn't stay in one spot alone. Unless mischa, his mother, was present. Otherwise he expected her in a few heartbeats.

And, to be honest, he considered that for a moment. She had made him feel like scum. Now here was his chance to do the same to her! See, Gavin wasn't the innocent cat that he appeared to be... and no, he wasn't manipulative or cruel or anything like that. He'd seen things from a young age. But he'd been taught that kindness was the best. To be kind, polite, and helpful... and maybe someday someone would be able to repay his kindness. What surprised him the most was Skipper's question.

Can you help me? It was soft, and didn't seem to be a question that most would think of as surprising, but for Gavin it was as though Skipper had just told him that he was the fiercest cat in the Syndicate. Something he never thought would happen. And, not because she was asking for help physically - that didn't surprise him at all - but he got what she meant. He understood the meaning behind her emotion-laced words. I won't change overnight. I won't change in a minute. Yes, he knew. He knew change would take time. And if she was willing to try, then he was perfectly willing to help.

"I'll help you." Of course he was willing to. "But you have to try." That's all he could ask for, was for her to try. "It's going to take effort on my part, and it's going to take effort on yours." There was one last question that Gavin had to know the answer to before he went ahead and agreed to help her emotionally. "Are you willing to work for it?" And he wasn't just talking about her current state, either. It took work to keep a good mental state, to keep a good physical state, and to keep a good appearance. Gavin was rarely upset with another cat. And it wasn't because he was friendly - though that was part of it, he just naturally had a good nature - it's because he knew that kindness would win.

One way or another, it would win over everything else. "You're going to be okay. It's going to be okay." He moved over towards Skipper, ready to catch her if she were to fall again. Because he was just that kind of cat. Ready to catch someone, ready to help someone, and hoping that they wouldn't think he was trying to be rude. Perhaps it had something to do with the way he had been raised. He'd had a good family life. He hadn't been apart of much, just exposed to it in the Syndicate. And it had never changed his mind. Though, to be honest, nothing truly awful had happened to him yet. Hopefully, it never would.
She let out a weak cough, the pressure on her sides from the bruising forcing her lungs to contract, her breath coming out in wheezing gasps. She still didn't truly like it, but she needed a healer, and quickly; this condition was dangerous, and if she waited too long, she could possibly die. Her mouth and nose were dry from the wheezing, and Skipper couldn't smell much anymore, the air bland and scentless. Her ears flattened; her change in heart was quick, but it still felt embarrassing to be so exposed.

For some absurd reason, she felt a need to be close to Gavin; to touch him, to feel that his kindness and strength had a physical form, wasn't her desperate mind making up a phantom of the strength she longed to have. With a Herculean effort, she forced her legs directly underneath her, where they had been sprawled before. Locking her joints so she could stand without slipping, the molly slowly applied weight, crying out softly as her shattered ribs popped as they slid into new positions. But, gingerly, she rose, coming up to almost her full height, slightly hunched from the pain.

Gasping from the energy it took to stand, she looked up at Gavin, her eyes filled with pain and more desperation. Slowly, Skipper began awkwardly shuffling towards him, hoping he'd come to take the strain off of her bruised limbs, but prepared to walk herself if necessary. Even then, after all of the willpower it took to even move, she felt weak, so weak.

"I will try. I will try every day until I die or become humble..." she began, finally giving up walking, teeth gritting as she stood in place, swaying uneasily on ruined legs, feeling exhausted and woozy. "I just... I just want someone who cares, though," Skipper muttered, tail twitching uncomfortably. "It's hard without anyone... anyone who..." She paused; did she tell him the full truth? Gavin certainly deserved it, after everything he had sacrificed just for a stranger, but she was having a hard time saying it.

"Without anyone... Who loves me." Finally, she had said it, one of the truths that rung within her admitted as fully as she could. "I haven't had a friend in... forever, it seems."

But when he wasn't right next to her, or practicing remembering the herbs that he would need to use when he actually became a healer himself, he was in the clearing running about as if he were still a kit. It was an odd sight to see in the Syndicate, and it was also odd because of his size. He was the largest kit in his litter and appeared as if he might have been muscular, strong, powerful. When in actuality it was nothing but fur and he was a bumbling, tripping mess. He wasn't strong at all, even though he liked to think he was just because of his size. He also liked to think that he was the best at whatever it was that he was doing at the time. He wasn't afraid of making mistakes or doing something wrong, he sort of just rolled with the punches and kept going till he got it right. He wasn't afraid of being yelled at and if he was yelled at, he didn't really seem to be hurt by it. While his physical strength lacked, his mental strength made up for it.
Currently the fluffy young tom by the name of Icarius was rolled onto his back in the middle of the Syndicate clearing, muttering out the names of several herbs and their uses, all the while attempting to catch his own fluffy tail that he held up in the air.
"Borage leaves are oval and tear drop shaped, it tastes bitter but wet moss will help; borage leaves help pregnant queens produce more milk for their kits.. I think that's it for that one.. Right?" He murmured to himself as he strained to reach for the tail, the tip of his tongue now protruding from his mouth as he sat up slightly to wrap his paws around the end of his tail, not paying any mind to any cat that might have been looking at him or paying attention to him.

The daughter of the false king was out and about, as she usually always was. It was hard for her mother to keep up with her at times, and that was how it usually always was. She was a lot like her father in a sense, but in another sense, she was a lot more different than the false king. She was usually was always outside of the nursery, going her merry way around the camp. It was her usual schedule, besides spending time with her mother, and perhaps playing with her siblings, though she really didn't care as much for them really. She did love them, but... she preferred to play or talk with other kit's, or trainee's. Whatever, didn't matter really all that much. And to Iesha, it really wouldn't matter. Really didn't matter at all that much. Iesha pranced away from entrance of the nursery, struggling to run, being only two moons sucked. You were growing, and while your growing, you have to get used to it, and then you grow a little more, and have to get used to it all over again. Irritating, right? Ugh. She gave a snort to herself, today was a boring day. Maybe, she could go bother someone. Her ear's twitched as she searched around, and the boredom was clear on her muzzle.

Then, she noticed Icarius. Huh. Her half-brother. Interesting. Iesha tilted her head, before walking over to him, a smile on her face. "Hi!" Iesha approached him from the side, looking at him through a tilt of her head, tail lashing. "What are you doing?" The black and white she cat questioned, a innocent grin on her face. So innocent indeed. It sounded like he was listing, something. Iesha didn't know what it was, maybe it was herbs? She honestly didn't care all that much about what he was doing. As long as she wasn't bored out of her mind. Conversation would be fine for her. They were related, I guess.

Noting her struggle, the tom stood there for just a moment... he wasn't sure whether this was one of those times when Skipper would want to do this herself or if she needed his help. Paying attention to the pain and desperation that showed through in her eyes, the sandy feline sprang foward in an alarmingly quick movement, landing nearby and moving over so that she had him for support - only if she wanted it. It was important to be independant, Gavin knew, but there was nothing wrong with having somebody to lean on if you needed it. "Don't... don't try to walk, it's okay... I've got you..." Not sure how she would respond to the command, he unconciously flinched.

But didn't move away from her side. Her words surprised him... this fiery cat wanted a friend? Wanted someone who cared? The Dusk Syndicate was always surprising him. And this was no exception to those times. "I care." Two words, so simple, and yet they held so much meaning to some cats. I care. What was the big deal about Gavin caring? Did it really mean that much to say something like that?

To her, it might make all the difference. "And I'll be your friend." Why not? He liked making new friends, and if Skipper needed one, then Gavin was definitely a good start. He might not be the toughest, or the best fighter... but he was loyal and he was willing to do what it took to prove that loyalty. So, Gavin was honestly the best bet at this point. "Are you ready to go to the Healers' Den now?" His voice was quieter, and once more he flinched - not wanting her to tell him that she wasn't because it was 'weak.' What was wrong with getting help? Gavin didn't understand.

He'd never understood. This place seemed like the type of area to crush your spirits, and yet his remained soaring high. Because Gavin had never known what it was like to have a broken heart. He'd never known what it was like to watch someone you loved die, or be hurt... all he had ever known was what his parents had told him. That with kindness came strength. If he were kind, he would be strong... even if sometimes the tom didn't feel like he was either.

I mentioned on my profile that I was starting over. A fresh start is best for me right now; I've created quite a few new characters, and they will all be on my site, but not all will be used in roleplay right away. it's likely I'll bring them in more gradually.

When the bloody orange eyed she-cat saw her brother looking in her direction, her small, frail body stiffened ever so slightly. She was trying to sneak-attack him, but his constant staring at the nursery entrance wasn't helping. Finally she decided enough was enough and leapt out of the brush at Domino. She had it all planned out in her head; should she land her attack, and land on the tom, Tyche would hold her head and tail high as she boasted "Haha, you were looking at me all along and you still couldn't get away from me? Pathetic, Domino!" However, if she were to fail and be knocked aside, she would praise her brother. "You're getting almost as good as me!" Should he simply dodge her, she may try to hunt him down and play with him like that, but she hadn't really decided that much yet.

Seeing cats die at his paws constantly, cats being barely healed and still giving him ungrateful remarks. He didnt want new injuries of his own because of who he was. He was proud of who he was. At the mention of leaving with the tom brought up a few questions in his mind. He didnt know the tom to well, next to nothing and just basing off of rumors hes heard. But Syndicate cats were easy to spread untruthful things. "How soon are we talking? Im not opposed to the idea though." He didnt want to think about what the tom would do to any cat that stopped them from leaving. Hed deal with that when it was time to go. "I dont want to serve anymore."
"While no cat can know exactly what will happen, I can be fairly certain of what will. The cats that are here now are practically worthless. They are nothing but scoundrels and hold hardly any sort of code. I no longer wish to associate with them." The tone was rather matter-of-fact as he looked away from the cat he was conversing with. "Oh I hold a trainee, I don't plan to leave until they've been fully trained or killed. So plan on hm." The dark tom paused in thought before giving a light flick of his tail and looking back at Percival. "No longer than five moons."
"If you don't wish to serve anymore then don't. Begin your preparations to leave. It is indecent to have a polite cat such as yourself living in such poor conditions and being treated so poorly. A shame that you must deal with it. And when we do leave, you can chose to stay with me, or go your own way, I wouldn't care of your choice but when we do leave, I will need to know of your answer."
