The molly padded closer to the waters edge, her gaze sweeping over the water. It caught on something. This time a speckled brown body. Her paw darted in, bouncing it up onto the shore and biting it swiftly on the neck. A surge of pride swept through her. She had done it! Maybe she would like hunting more after all! But Stormpaw knew that her heart would always be in the battle, never in the hunt.

"N-No problem" he said, embarrassed. He blushed slightly, smiling lightly. Did he sound like a mentor? He hated when he sounded like a bossy warrior, even though he really wanted to be one, he wouldn't be bossy when he was. Swallowing dryly, he watched Stormpaw. Almondpaw watched her approach the water, not intervening this time. "Great job!" He grinned, purring.

Stormpaw perked up even more when he complemented her. "Thanks!" she purred, her expression cleary brightening. She padded back over to him. "Do you want to go for a walk?" she asked, never blushing though she felt like she was and didn't know why. She was only asking her best friend if he wanted to for a walk. She probably wouldn't catch another fish for a long time, so it wouldn't matter. Still, Stormpaw felt like she should be blushing.

"No problem, and sure!" Almondpaw purred, his tail curling. He too felt he should have a blush on his face, yet he didn't. Stormpaw was just his best friend.. right? Forgetting the awkward thoughts, he grinned and looked around. "Let's just walk around the territory, it's a nice day!" He finally spoke again, feeling like it was a stupid statement though unsure why.

Stormpaw nodded, feeling more stupid than she ever had in her life. She wasn't sure why, she just did. She shouldn't be feeling so stupid, she was with Almondpaw. He was her best friend. There was no reason for her to feel stupid. Stormpaw dismissed the thought with a flick of her tail. She could ponder them later. Stormpaw picked up her prey in her mouth, and began walking, she looked over her shoulder to see if Almondpaw was following.

Almondpaw scooped the fish he'd caught up, bounding after Stormpaw and finding himself next to her, again he thought he should be blushing though he wasn't. Why did he feel so weird suddenly? He was with Stormpaw! Shaking the thoughts away, he grinned at her.

Stormpaw smiled back at him, trying to ignore that strange nagging feeling that apparently hadn't gone away. She thought it had because she hadn't felt it the whole time when she was fishing. But here it was, back again. She couldn't explain why. It made no sense to her. but, it was back again, that was for sure.

(aww, cute!)
Almondpaw shared the feeling, but shoved it to the back of his brain as he kept his gaze ahead of him as to not run into a tree. The feeling was bothersome, tugging at him as he growled and tried to ignore it. He looked around for something to distract himself. "So.. what do you want your warrior name to be?" He asked suddenly.

You're gonna get sick playing in that water all the time. Angelcloud didn't care much. She did what she want, when she wanted, and no one could tell her otherwise. As she approached the bank of the river, her pelt dripping from a lot water, she gave a slight shake to clear some of it out. That's the only thing she hated. Shaking her pelt. Other than that, drying was pretty easy and quick. The she cat turned back around, to face the river. Her teal colored eyes enjoying the movement of it as she sat down to give herself a light groom.
Her sister only a few ways from her, but within eye sight. Angelcloud never got how come Heavencloud never liked to take a dare. Take a chance at life. She lived on the safe side. Now, Angelcloud wouldn't consider herself to be a reckless dare devil. She didn't go around causing or seeking trouble. On the other hand, Angelcloud liked a little bit of danger. It was simply fun. Heavencloud would had retorted that death wasn't fun. Angelcloud never thought about death much. She was too busy being infatuated with the many things around her. The she cat gave light rasp licks across her pelt. The sun was taking too long to dry her, and she hated walking around with a damp pelt. Not only did it cause her to freeze, but it also was aggravating. Like a tick in her pelt.
She gave a light sigh, shaking her head before she continued on with her cleaning. It was nothing wrong with it. Though Angelcloud didn't like to work much. She was a very helpful cat...when she wanted to be. Many of the warriors thoughts she was kit-like. Annoying. Aggravating. Too playful, and that she needed to be serious? Angelcloud's response? A heartfelt laugh. That didn't change who she was, and it never would. The golden striped she cat became startled upon hearing a voice. She quickly stopped grooming her pelt, and turned her head slightly. Her gaze landed on a reddish-orange tom. Her teal eyes scanned him for a bit. She flicked her ears at his words. ''Aww, I already came from a swim.'' She shook her head, and got up to her paws. Now, Angelcloud never turned down an offer. Especially if it had to do with anything being fun. The tom in front of her seemed friendly enough, though she never seen him around the clan. Not that anyone could blame her. Riverclan was a large clan with such fascinating cats. And, she hardly paid note to anything around her. This she cat liked to keep moving on her paws. ''I suppose I can go for another one!'' She purred, herself. The thought of getting her pelt wet again? Heavencloud probably had a lot to say, but would Angelcloud listen? Surely she wouldn't!
When the tom introduced himself, Angelcloud stretched, bending down in an almost abnormal manner than most cats. Though her behind stood in the air, along with her tail, before she brought half her body back up, giving the tom a friendly smile. ''Cardinalflash?'' She repeated. ''Cardinal? C-Flash?'' She couldn't help, but giggle. It was such a weird thing to her--she was allowed to call him a nickname upon first meeting him? ''What an exotic name! C-flash? I like it!'' She drew her tongue over her jaws before she turned back to the water. She leaned down to the river, using one of her paws to dip into it as the current pushed on. Since she was a tad bit small, and her body more lithe, she carried a more flexible appearance. Being able to twist her body in ways that most cats wouldn't understand. It was complicated for her to answer them to it as well. Heavencloud carried the same figure, but she hardly allowed it to show.
Angelcloud swiveled her head back to stare at the reddish orange tom, her eyes beaming. ''I'm Angelcloud.'' She purred, amusingly. ''I don't have any cool nicknames like you. Unless, you think Angel is a cool name.'' She rolled her eyes, but turned them quickly back to the water. Angelcloud never minded her name, but she did find C-flash a cool name to think about. It gave...excitement. It gave cats a thrill to look forward to something. Just thinking about the name made her purr. As she brought her head back up again, noticing his fleeting stares, she tilted her head to the side. ''You looking for anyone?'' She smirked.
The golden striped she cat made a splash into the water once more, splashing little droplets everywhere. For a moment, her head lingered in the water longer than it should had. A stillness appeared of where she was suppose to be. Angelcloud loved the suspense, the dramatic effect whenever she did such a thing and her sister would yell for her, expecting that the golden striped cat was drowning...but no, that wasn't the case. Angelcloud knew how to hold her breathe under water, and whenever she was ready, she popped up. Small ripples in the water displayed her reckless act. As she brought up her head, breathing heavily. She turned to look at the tom. ''Do you even know how to swim?'' She remarked, smirking. Her small paws paddled in the water, and beneath it, her hind legs kicked to maintain a balance that kept her afloat.
Angelcloud didn't know anything about the tom, but that didn't stop her from wanting to get to know him. A friendly face already intrigued, and she wished to see what he was about. She met a few toms in her time--some impressed her--many watched as she turned her back. Angelcloud wasn't the type of she cat that enjoyed toms who were...well, what's the word? Meek? Submissive? Docile? What was the fun in those type of toms? Sure, she would be a friendly face because that's just who she was. Anyone Angelcloud walked past, she was sure to greet you with an upbeat smile and attitude. Suddenly, she lifted a paw playfully from the water to splash it onto the shore. Anything to tempt the tom.
The golden spotted cat silently laid close to the shore, but not too close where she would be able to feel the small droplets on her. Water was never the problem for her. Drowning? Certainly. As of the moment, she was content. She was ready to sleep. Just close her eyes and take a nap. Last time she blinked her eyes, Angelcloud appeared out the water, drying her pelt. That was good enough for Heavencloud, knowing her sister was safe. Angelcloud always took chances no matter the dire consequences. Angelcloud was the type to ask questions, and she expected answers. She expected all her questions to be answered because she trailed along the safe path.
It was nothing wrong with that. Was it? She was on the verge of napping, her tail being the only thing swaying behind her, gently in motion. Her breathing was soft, and her head laid delicately on her paws. It was nice out now that she thought about it. Extremely nice to not have any cats pestering her. And, if they were? Angelcloud was able to handle the social part of their life. Heavencloud usually ignored any cat that present themselves to her. It wasn't that she was being rude, more so, she was the quiet one. The one who lacked the conversation skills that her dear sister was a guru at.
However, when anyone did talk to her, they got a sweet feline that held small talk. She never had anything big to say or important. And, sometimes--if she were really in a good mood- they got a vivacious talkative feline that could go on and on about. Heavencloud loved to gush about hunting-- A skill she excelled in. More so, land hunting. The thrill of the chase. And, sometimes the thrill of being chased. Angelcloud would usually taunt her sister that she was playing hard to get, and Heavencloud would deny this, but it stuck to her without her even knowing it. Was that bad? For her to be that way? So sweet and calm. Easy to talk to. If anyone would had known, Angelcloud was the prettier of the two. Sometimes toms would only talk to her just to get to her sister. In response, Angelcloud would turn them down. Especially after getting to know her rowdy personality. Though Heavencloud didn't mind the looks that the toms gave to Angelcloud.
It has to be her personality...On your own this time, C-flash.
The she cat's eyes shot open. Her teal orbs searched around for the voice that startled her suddenly, until they landed on a slate pelted tom. She squinted them for a moment clearing the blurriness, but then she turned her head away. Who was he talking to? Her gaze looked ahead of her to see another tom...coming after her sister. ''That's surprising. He didn't come to me to ask about her.'' That was a first. Heavencloud played as a gateway for Angelcloud's suitors. The small golden spotted she cat got to her paws, almost shakily, but picked herself up. She took a glance towards the slate pelted one, and wondered what his next move would be. He didn't talk to her, so she didn't feel the need to talk to him. It would just be a regular day, but for some odd reason she felt that he was in the same position as she was.
''I never tasted kittypet food.'' Noirepaw gagged, as she stopped in her tracks for a bit. She called over her shoulder, ''I feel bad for the cats that have to live with that. They will never know how real food taste.'' Noirepaw flicked her tail. She was glad to be a clan cat. Through-in-though. She was proud for the many hardships she had to go through. It would either kill her or make her stronger in the end. She rather be doing something with her life than sitting in the arms of a two-leg. ''They'll never know what's it's like! Our ancestors were wild. Therefore we are all wild.'' She looked at the wild forest around them, admiring everything within view of the early morning. Then, she continued to trot on, listening to her mentor's words. She twitched her ears, and glanced towards him for a second before she continued on. ''I don't find anything satisfying with being pampered your entire life.'' She found it, indeed, unfair. But, she couldn't do anything about it. Perhaps, it works for some cats. Maybe, she would had thought differently if she had been a kittypet. So, she didn't judge the issue. ''That's a long time.'' The she cat purred. ''Did you fight in any major battles!?'' She piped. He was almost thirty moons! That was something that fascinated her. Most cats didn't live to make it that far, yet many did. It was still impressive, however. The black she cat began running again, feeling the morning breeze ripple through her pelt. ''I'm so hungry I can eat six mice!'' She exclaimed, licking her jaws. Though she knew the clan had to be fed before she was given her share. ''I'll try to maintain myself though!'' She suddenly stopped, and waited for her mentor to catch up to her. She was ball of energy--never wanting to stop once you managed to get her going. The territory was large. She didn't know many parts of it, which made it fascinated. Noirepaw stood still, heeding her mentor's words. She looked around the area, trying to detect anything with her eyes first. Then, she closed her eyes, inhaling in deeply. It was somewhat hard for her to do such things. She wasn't the greatest hunter out there, and she tried her best. She was able to catch on quickly, but suddenly realized that she couldn't detect any smile. Was her scent broken? ''Umm...'' She opened her eyes, blinking at her mentor. ''I don't smell anything.'' She shrugged, sadly. Though she tried again, and the only scent she managed to detect was dirt. And, dirt was not anything close to prey.

"Angel is a beautiful name! And, certainly, ma'am... you are a beautiful angel. The name suits you as well as anyone else." Cardinalflash always spoke with a purr, with a sweet tone in his voice like music - he had found that it entranced the she cats to him more. Because after all, who wouldn't want a tom like Cardinalflash around to make them feel better about themselves? She was a pretty she cat, after all - the one who would constantly be catching his eye first. Angelcloud... that was a unique, exotic name. One that he had never heard of a RiverClan cat having. Surely Cardinalflash was a name that had at some point belonged to another cat, wasn't it? Yes, surely it must have. The tom thought for a moment as he stared at the pretty feline. Caught staring off into space had never ended well for Cardinalflash... like, at all.
He'd been yelled at for it. He had been clawed for it. No one liked to be stared at and least of all the she cats who were the object of his attention. They found him creepy or something of the sort, Cardinalflash wasn't sure. "Pfft, me? Not know how to swim? Now why..." With a sly glance, his voice trailed off and he leapt into the water, a graceful shape arcing through the air before he landed, head going under momentarily and slight panic filling his mind and eyes before his head once again surfaced and the panic disappeared. "Would you think that?" The tom mewed, completing his sentence. It was an old trick. One that he was certain she had seen before. Not finishing a sentence, doing something, then proceeding to complete the sentence. "I'm truly surprised you haven't been taken by another tom already, m'lady." Cardinalflash mewed with a friendly smile on his features.
Not too big so that she would think he was up to something, but not so small that it was considered strange. Cardinalflash often found himself in awkward positions and right now, the only thing he wanted to do was get Angelcloud's attention. She had agreed to come swim with him - that was a start! And she liked his name. That was even better. So far, so good for the tom. He was doing great. Better then great. He was doing amazing. That was what Cardinalflash often told himself, that he was doing better then he actually was... perhaps it made the tom feel better about himself, and perhaps it was just one of the little games that he so often liked to play. Out of subject material and trying to come up with another clever remark so that she would be entranced by him, Cardinalflash swam around. The water was a pleasant temperature at this time.
Just cool enough so that you could get a break from the scorching heat, but not so cold that it was frigid to the touch. Yes, this was what Cardinalflash liked best about RiverClan - being able to swim. Some cats were scared of the water, which he found funny. Why would they be? It was powerful, beautiful, and comfortable liquid. He loved swimming... and just water in general. Cardinalflash's hues narrowed playfully and he aimed to splash some water at the other feline. If he aimed just right, it would splash her... providing Cardinalflash with something to laugh at and perhaps, if he were lucky, a water fight that would give him endless entertainment. The tom always looked fowards to being entertained. He knew that Jaywhisper had probably brought him here just so that he would have something to do and the steely feline wouldn't have to entertain him himself.
For a moment, the tom debated a line that was something like 'the sun lights up the water on your pelt in just the right way. You look so beautiful,' but then he stopped. That would sound too sincere. Too friendly. And, if there was one thing that Cardinalflash didn't want to do, it was scare her off. So he kept his maw shut, watched the attractive feline swim, and thought about what his next move would be.
A sudden voice made Jaywhisper pick his head up and whip it around so suddenly that it was surprising his neck didn't crack in the process. For a moment he stared at the feline before he stopped, shrugged, and turned back around. Who cared about her? Right now, Cardinalflash was in the water with some cat that Jaywhisper wasn't sure whether he could trust or not. And the two appeared to be together. Was it like a heartbreak-type team? Jaywhisper had seen Cardinalflash's awful fails before, and was constantly wincing for his brother... it was pretty cringy, to be honest. He didn't like it when Cardinalflash failed at his flirting attempts. And then there was the always-annoying, constantly plaguing him thought that he should be trying that as well. Should he try it with this feline over here? Nah. He was liable to get his heart broken like his brother's.
Although, considering the fact that the steely feline relied on facts and truth instead of feelings would certainly help him. Who cared about feelings when they couldn't be proven? It was as though Jaywhisper's feelings didn't even exist. Though that was far from the truth. Beneath his sometimes annoying, really logical thoughts was a cat who wanted the truth to be that he could believe in others. That he wasn't going to get hurt. Although that was far from the truth at the moment. Wincing as he watched Cardinalflash dive off of the rocks, Jaywhisper stopped as his brother momentarily went under. Everything stopped. Time itself stopped, and he couldn't think about anything else. His breathing seemed to slow down, then eventually stop... his eyes were getting heavy... his limbs felt as though they were created from concrete instead of flesh and bone.
And then, out of the corner of his eye, he saw the tom come back up. Just like that he felt much better. Just like that, he was fine. But it had frightened him and the feline was quite sure that he didn't like it at all. As in, whatsoever. He glanced over at the other cat. "Did you... did you see that?" Jaywhisper's voice was, as his name suggested, quiet. It was barely above a whisper. He was wondering if the she cat had felt the same panic... nah, not for a stranger. She wouldn't. No one did. Strangers were dangerous, and you needed to stay away, and Jaywhisper was quite sure he should stop talking now. His voice still quiet, he turned away and mumbled something like 'stupid thoughts, stupid head, why am I still talking' under his breath before he curled up in a ball. The tom's nose was tucked under his tail and he breathed a sigh of relief at knowing that Cardinalflash hadn't drowned.
Now was a good time for a nap - if only sleep would come to the steely cat. He tried changing positions, thinking about things that he really shouldn't have been, wondering what was going on with the she cat before him... watching Cardinalflash's hopeful flirtatious endeavours... thought about talking to the she cat... stopped thinking about that when he realized that he was still tired and that he would make a fool of himself... until eventually his eyes closed. But still he was unable to sleep. And so, the tom sat up and watched the two cats playing in the water. Perhaps he would join them in a bit, it honestly looked like fun. He wasn't sure whether he was supposed to or not, though. Sometimes Cardinalflash had him nearby when he attempted flirting and sometimes he was pushed away. What kind of a time was this? The first or the second? Good or bad?
And, how was Jaywhisper supposed to know which was which? It could be suggested that he might just base it off of what he knew about the flashy feline, but that wasn't always accurate. See, the brothers were always changing. Some days Jaywhisper liked certain things, other days he despised them and Cardinalflash loved them. It was a never-ending circle, one that confused the tom to no end.

Stormpaw was caught of gaurd. She wasn't sure what she wanted her warrior name to be. "Maybe Stormsoul, Stormclaw, Stormstripe." she shrugged, any of them would work. She especially liked Stormsoul, but Russetstar would choose their names, not them.

"Cool!" Almondpaw replied with a silly grin. "I don't know what I want mine to be."
(Seriously though, idk)
