Rain patted nosiely at the ceiling of the Warriors den filling daisyshades ears with the constant pitter patter and trickle of water seeping through the branches laced together in order to keep it out. Which was failing. No matter though. Riverclan cats have thick pelts. Just for this. she thought proudly. She knew other clans complained about rain and it made her proud to think about 50% of riverclan Warriors didn't. Though riverclan had recently hit a harsh patch of leadership and wasn't trusted by other leaders she knew how hard russetstar had to be working in order to cleanse their paws of guilt. It was good to know her clan was being tended to so gently.
Her on the other paw was a hot mess. She never tended to herself just right and liked to think she didn't deserved to be related equally. Depression hit her hard, like being struck in the head by a stiff fish or catching a whiff of something rotten. Even being dunked into frigged water quote un quote reality. She had recently become isolated. Far off. Reserved and quiet. Much unlike her normal bubbly self. Just the thought of who she used to be scared her. Like a kit being afraid of thunderstorms but adventually grew out of them, she didn't think she could manage to pull herself out of this one.
She had been digging this hole for a long time, filling it with regret and depression, and she just kept on digging. Everything seemed so much darker where she was and she lacked the enthusiasm to really see the good in everyday things. Except for rain. It was quite strange but the only thing she enjoyed in every day to day life was rain. Or just sitting by the stream. Perhaps it was because one of her first memories with tumblestep was of them fishing together. Him falling in. It was scary at first but adventually they drew close. Than
On the flick of a dime they were torn apart again by so many complications.
Tumblestep... she hadn't thought about the Tom in a while. He was something she kinda wished she would forget. It may have been her fault the last time that they spoke was a bad one. Maybe because she broke into an emotional wreck and looked weak in front of him. Maybe because they just weren't meant to be... Or maybe because she loved him so much she began to think she didn't deserve him. Maybe. But now all she wanted was to forget. She lifted herself to her paws and slipped in between the raindrops trickling off the lip of the Warriors den entrance. Feeling the cold kiss of an icy sheet of rain seep into her fur and settle on her skin.
Refreshing yet uncomfortable. She continued through the muddy clearing until she reached the freshkill pile. It was wet and barren, which meant hunting was in order. She swept a tail over the prey and inspected it while shielding it from rain. Not edible. she concluded. Than she tunred, half expecting to see someone staring at her. Or someone whispering about her in the corner. The

@ Empress Of Evil
The ebony warrior padded into the clearing and let out a sigh, his pads were sore and it felt as though his skin was boiling, it was too hot out for the pitch black tom. Tufts of his fur stuck to his sides, face, and legs, it made it harder for him to walk, it made him want to ignore everyone around him and go lay down in the warriors den and cool off, or take another walk into the territory and jump in the river. He didn't realize just how difficult it was being the deputy, just how much you had to do, just how much you had to interact with the others, but that wasn't too hard, he talked to his classmates like how he normally did, the main thing that troubled the warrior was the fact that he had to order them around, and the fact that they allowed him to order them around, he didn't like it. The deputy shook his head and let out a huff, that kind of thinking made his head hurt, he still wasn't sure about his feelings towards this whole situation, becoming the very thing he hates, giving orders, he was terrified, he didn't want to become his father, he couldn't. Images of his past flashed through his mind, his father snapping at him, his father, and siblings, the pure hatred that burned in the late senior warriors eyes still to this day made the buff tom shudder. His hatred and understanding battled within him day by day, no rest, no peace, nothing but war and uncertainty took the tom over now a days, it was hard for him to keep his smile. Fallenstream lifted his head slowly and looked around, feeling piercing eyes boring into his skin, burning through his pelt. It felt like his fathers, for a second, he thought that the warrior had come back to kill him and his siblings, relief washed over him when he realized that it was one of his two younger siblings, Plesantpaw. The older shot the tom a lazy smile and began to pad over, wondering what his brother was thinking.

[It's fine! <3 I'm sorry this is rather late ^^']
Sitting by himself was a young tuxedo cat. In quiet corner of the camp, Pleasantpaw was looking around the camp, his expression blank as he studied everyone around him. As a new apprentice, the tom now had so many more opportunities to discover everything about life. He wanted to know more about his clan mates especially. He wanted to know their strengths and weaknesses. Ever since he was a kit, Pleasantpaw had had a thing for eavesdropping on the conversations of others. It was a speciality of his. He was always eager to know what others knew and was constantly gathering information from his clan mates. When he was older, he would know everything about his clan mates, but they would know hardly anything about him. After all, the tom preferred to keep his personal information to himself.
His eyelids lowered slightly as Pleasantpaw found himself growing slightly bored. Although it was quite interesting, watching and learning everything about his clan mates, he was going to get bored eventually. Maybe in the future he would be better at finding something to think about and using his time doing that, but for now he was still young and he had to make the most of it. Removing his gaze from two elders that were arguing, he lazily looked around the camp, waiting for something to catch his attention. He raised an eye as he spotted a familiar tom cat padding through the entrance. Fallenstream, his deputy and brother, looked just as lazy and bored as he was. For about a minute, the apprentice watched his brother pad around the camp clearing, his yellow gaze never leaving him.
Finally, the larger cat noticed him and a small smile formed on his maw. The last time he had spoken to his brother was at Fallenstream’s deputy ceremony. Now it was time to see how the position of deputy was treating him. In his eyes and ears, the job of deputy didn’t look nor sound very. You had to be responsible and be good at staying out of trouble. Pleasantpaw was okay at being responsible, but he was terrible at staying out of trouble. He just couldn’t do it. It seemed that trouble was always looking for him and there was no way he could outrun it. But it wasn’t like he wanted to run out of trouble. Even though it meant he was more likely to die than the rest of his clan mates, he was learning so much more than everyone else.
“Morning!” Pleasantpaw said cheerfully as his brother reached him. The apprentice tried to act friendly around others while he pushed down the darkness within him. Even so, it wasn’t just his darker side that could harm others, but he was sarcastic and warmly arrogant, meaning he could hurt others while being cheerful about it all the way.

[ I'm always up for a Tumble x Daisy rp! haha ]
Tumblestep had been crouched in the rain for what seemed to be like ages, in one damp corner of the camp opposite to the warrior den. His pelt was not thick, but short and thin. The rain drenched him, his fur glued to his skin in an uncomfortable way. He shivered, cold, but refused to move from his position as if he were frozen. His ears were folded back, like the raindrops weighed them down. His white whiskers sagged down, actually being weighed down by the drops of liquid. Overall, Tumblestep looked miserable, which he was. His rat-like tail was curled at his side, lying in a puddle of rainwater that he also crouched in. His gaze was locked on the ground before him, his eyes narrowed to defend his sight from the heavy rain.
Recently, his older sister who had disappeared during the evil era with his nephew had returned. He felt saddened for her, as she had returned to RiverClan to discover that her mate, or ex-mate, Russetstar, now had a new mate. And now his niece, or Shellfeather's daughter, had passed away. He never really formed a relationship with Cricketpaw, but he had kept his eye on her and loved her. He was confused as to how he should feel. After all, he had his sister back, as well as his nephew. But he lost his niece. Tumblestep shivered, not due to the cold, but because of the recent loss in his family.
And then there was Daisyshade, who he was still on negative terms with. Honestly, he missed her. He often felt comforted when she was around, and he gained some self-confidence when she was present. Tumblestep felt pain stab his heart. He yearned to make things right, but his cowardice held him back. Last time they met, she had seemed so... upset with him. He didn't know if he wanted to see Daisyshade upset again. But he'd avoided her lately, to give her space. Maybe, to recover? He still felt guilt for what he's done, a powerful amount of guilt that determined his relationship with Daisyshade. He was aware of the fact that he'd always feel that guilt around his friend.
Movement caught his eye, causing his head to painfully shoot upwards. His gaze settled on the same she-cat he's been thinking about. Daisyshade. Tumblestep performed a strange action, one that seemed as though he were to get to his paws, but had decided against it. He felt she didn't want to see him - he didn't even want to see himself! He watched her protect the already-gone fresh-kill pile against the rain, inspecting it, until she apparently determined that the fresh-kill could not be saved. His mint green eyes displayed fright, depression, anxiety... so many emotions. Tumblestep shuffled backward, further into the darkness of the corner that he almost blended into with his dark gray pelt. But his wide, vibrant green eyes were visible.
Finally, he decided it'd be best to get the pain done and over with. Uncomfortable with easing his way out from the shade, Tumblestep stayed put as he tried to find a way to show his hidden location. He simply called out to her in his usual raspy tone that resembled a loud whisper, ``Daisyshade!``

[ Awesome! <3 ]
When the sudden harsh whisper rose above the constant pitter patter of rain and her head jerked violently to the side. Her eyes inspecting everything in deadly precision. She hadn't heard her own name in a while. It was awful strange to think about that, but she hadn't spoken with anyone recently. Nobody called her name anymore. The fear of the voices in her head coming back to taunt her made her itch with some unseen fear. She had finally banished them, only for them to return now.
She cocked her head back into the sky, feeling the rain on her face. "Go away... I don't want to hear you!" she whispered to the sky. It was surely starclan that whispered these things. These things that drove her insane. Cause they new everything. They knew her fears and regrets and everything she wished she they didn't know... But they kept on whispering these things. She paused for a login moment. Looking into the dark clouds, her eyelids half closed to shield her eyes from the rain.
She than slowly lowered her head on the Warriors den. Perhaps someone else would hunt. Someone else would do her job and she could sit alone and banish the thoughts away. Growing more dull. If she slept the nightmares would come. The memories would come and she would wake up In a cold sweat. Fearing that they were real. Fearing her distant memories returned. She finally got to her senses, her legs stiff and her limbs cold she tunred and began her agonizingly long walk back to the Warriors den. Head down. Eyes half opened. Not a care in the world. Her paws collecting mud and dirt as she made her way, The weight of her problems weighing her down.
But as she lifted her paws to shake them off at the mouth of the den, green optics shine out from the darkness. Catching her own dull ones by surprise. Slowly and catiosuly she raised her head. Eyes narrowed agasint the scenery change. She blinked a few times, before she stepped into the den. Eyes still fixated on the two just ahead. Huddled in the back of the den. Her tail lashed with curiosity.
And just in that moment. It became so clear. The voices hadn't returned. No. It was tumblestep. a flicker of hope went ablaze within her eyes before fading away when she realized that they were on such bad terms. That it was her fault. She was surprised she couldn't remember those eyes. They were something she often identified him by. She took a nervous step towards him. But stayed absolute still, she was in mid step. She blinked slowly. Imaging those eyes disappearing. As if this was some messed up dream. She paused. "Tumblestep...?"

He stayed silent for a long while after Daisyshade said his name. Tumblestep didn't know how to respond, though he had been the one to begin the conversation. He continued looking miserable, his fur drenched, a frown on his face, and pain in his eyes. He kept his gaze trained on Daisyshade, afraid that if he were to look away she would vanish into thin air. He searched her eyes for a sign that she had missed him, that she wasn't angry with him anymore, that they could be friends again. But he found none. He discovered a distant look, like she didn't believe he was who he was.
Tumblestep shifted uneasily, glancing down at his paws for a brief moment before looking back up at Daisyshade. ``Daisyshade,`` He breathed, as if he hadn't seen her in ages and she had successfully stolen his breath. His flanks shuttered with every quiet breath. He now regretted calling to her, because he didn't know what to do. He was finally reminded of her affectionate touch, which caused him to run away from her out of his fear for such powerful emotions. He knew she liked him, he was very well aware of that, but he didn't know she loved him. Her liking for him made him nervous - should he return those feelings? Should he tell her to forget it? Tumblestep didn't even know what to feel about Daisyshade. He didn't understand love, or even like.
``I'm s-sorry.``His voice was laced with anxiety and sadness. He's been depressed ever since their friendship went downhill. Tumblestep didn't even know exactly why Daisyshade disliked him. He believed it was because of his cowardice, when he hid during the battle, while Daisyshade fought for her life. ``I-I was a c-c-coward.`` He shook his head with disappointment in himself. ``I-I want to b-be friends a-again.`` Now he looked up at her with desperation in his vibrant green eyes, as well as in his voice.

Daisyshade blinked as a calm response to her name again. He was real. He was here. He wasn't her imagination playing cruel mind tricks. Her tail gently lashed now, part of her worry melting away in his comforting words. They stayed like so for a bit. Just breathing in each other's scent. Wether or not he had missed her she certainly knew she had missed him. But she had smothered the feelings and tried to dispose of them, to occupy her mind and busy herself leaving no time to think about it. But here she was. Surrounded by the haunting thought. Blinking in his presence, unable to speak.
Just as she stretched her maw to speak he spoke over her and she quieted herself. She listened intently but looked far off and distant. She blinked her full eyes again. Looking away shyly. Than spoke up when he had finished, still avoiding eye contact at all costs. "This... Isn't your time to apologize.." she said. Letting the statement hang out in dead air. She almost didn't reckonise herself speaking and her voice seemed to slightly scare her. Reminding her of who she used to be. "It... It's my time" she meows softly. Raising her head so their eyes met. Her dull optics searched his. A secret feeling so passionate hidden behind her eyes.
She took a deep breath and dropped ey contact yet again "I felt too strongly... And when you didn't want it... I freaked out... " she paused again. Swallowing hard. She raised her head part way and resumed their broken eye contact. Swallowing down the fear and regret that was bubbling up in her throat. Her jaw seemed to be trembling and her body seemed to shrink as confidence left her. "This is my fault... I should have waited..." she paused again. Allowing the silence to settle in. "I.. I was never mad at you... Just scared. I didn't know what was going on... With my heart... I wanted something you clearly don't... I respect that" was her simple response. And she finally sat down. Just a fox length away. Her head hung and her fur dripping rain drops onto her nest. Soaking the ground further.

Tumblestep listened silently, his gaze locked on her with innocence dancing in his green eyes. He was lost. Shouldn't Daisyshade be mad at him? Shouldn't she be forbidding him to speak, crying about trust and friendship? Shouldn't he be flinching back, wishing he could be anywhere but here? Instead, he found himself facing an apologizing Daisyshade. Why should she apologize? He gasped silently as their gazes met, and it seemed to be decades before either of them broke contact. Daisyshade looked away first. Tumblestep continued to stare.
The positions were turned. Daisyshade was being shy, and Tumblestep was feeling confident now that she was saddened. Almost as if he knew what he were doing now. When she sat down... not too far away, he debated whether or not to approach her, to embrace her. But he decided against it - at least, for now. If she did have feelings for him, he couldn't hurt her further by embracing her when he didn't share her emotions. He took advantage of the silence, glancing at the ground as he gathered his thoughts before looking back at Daisyshade.
``Show me,`` Tumblestep whispered, rising to his paws. With confident steps, he slowly made his way closer to Daisyshade. Desperation drove him, alongside his requirement for warmth. ``Show me how to feel how you feel.`` He had seen the love his sister had shared with her ex-mate before their split. He saw how happy they had made one another. He wanted to be happy. He yearned for the happiness that came with love. He wasn't even stuttering, he felt so strongly.
Last time they had shared an affectionate touch, Tumblestep had felt something. A small spark, it seemed. It was what had scared him into running away. He had felt strangely during and after their touch. He couldn't get his heart to stop racing until the next day, he had had struggles in sleeping that night because he couldn't get Daisyshade out of his head. He just didn't understand those feelings, he didn't know what he had been feeling was affection. However, Tumblestep did not love Daisyshade, not yet, at least. But he was close to. One more action may do the trick...

Daisyshade sat there confused for a bit. Watching him with glistening eyes of hope alongside tears. She swallowed the build up of bile in her throat and blinked slowly. Show you. Show you what? she was desperate to understand what he meant by show mefrustrated her claws slid out and shredded the moss beneath her pads. Than she paused for a long second.
The agonizing silence spreading between them until the simple sentence explained everything. But at the same time broke her heart. She sniffles once but drained her tears. She wasn't planning on looking weak. Not in front of him again. This time she retunred his gaze for longer. Studying him closely. Was he serious? Was he actually serious or was he playing a trick on her? Making fun of her emotions. Making fun of her for loving. She swallowed hard as paranoid sweat beaded on her forehead.
"It... It can't be taught" was her response. So simple yet so heartbreaking for her. Ripping her heart in two as she finished. The fact that he may be making fun of her for so deeply loving him or just the sheer obliviousness to what the stupid word "love" meant. Now she fought the courage to stay and explain. She fought the panic that rose up in her chest sending her worries crawling like ants over her fur. What could she do? What should she do? What could she possibly say to sum up what the beautiful feeling was?
"It's something you feel inside... Something that makes you wanna be around someone... They make you feel wanted... And sometimes they make you cry" tears were building up dangerously close to her eyelids. She looked around the den for a moment. "They make you... Feel something so much bigger than yourself.. A meaning..." she said calmly. Looking back at him again. Fighting back the urge to cry. Her stoic side pushing itself into view. She sighed again her chest shrinking back. "You know it... You know what love is when you feel it for the first time"

Tumblestep felt disappointment flow through him. He hadn't expected such a saddening response of `it can't be taught`. To him, it sounded as if Daisyshade was falling out of love with him, which he did not want. He wanted her to stay in love with him, he wanted her to make him fall in love with her. He wanted to spend the rest of his life at her side, nuzzling her whenever he wants and curling around her when they went to bed at night. But his feelings were not yet strong enough for his dreams to become a reality.
But then she continued, and hope filled him once more. Tumblestep observed the tears threatening to stream down her cheeks, and he realized how much she truly did love him. He had made her cry, and now he wanted to make her smile. He always wanted to be around her - except for when she was mad at him just a few days ago, he was scared of rejection - and he felt wanted around her. And yes, Tumblestep had silently cried in his nest at night those days he wasn't on positive terms with Daisyshade. But did she make him feel bigger than he is? Did she give him meaning? He couldn't answer that quite yet.
Tumblestep met Daisyshade's gaze. She was clearly trying not to cry, and sympathy flooded through him. Don't cry, flower. Please don't cry! He felt the urge to put an end to her tears. ``Can - Can I try something?`` He whispered. He hoped she'd simply respond with a `yes`, otherwise things may turn out awkward. But then again, Tumblestep was an incredibly awkward tom, but he was trying not to be during this moment. His words were sincere.

Daisyshade watched him with watery eyes. She saw his chest sink and her's mimicked his. He didn't have to say anything to let her know what that meant. He didn't know what that feeling was. Either she didn't explain it well enough or... He didn't love her back. She hung her head to the side shamefully. This was something he clearly didn't find in her. She choked back a sob and clamped her jaws down on each other quickly. Her chest made a hiccup motion but no noise came out. She quickly jerked her head away.
She had only ever felt this same pain once. This was when he ran away from her. Daisy looked back up and stares directly at tumblestep. "Try... Somthing?" she questioned calmly. Looking at him with concerned eyes. She curled her tail around her partly dried lower half and studied him for a moment. Allowing they tears to go away, she blinked a few times and nodded slowly.
She drew her tongue over her paw and than over her ear before allowing a deep sigh.
[sorry this is short. I'm feeling lazy ]
