"I know I look different then before but,..Im okay." she knew the words were true as she said them. She was anything but okay at the moment. Everytime she passed out or even slept, she was greated with the Darkforest and its ruthless training. She could remember every little scar she was given, she could feel it. The slash of Moonstrikes claws here, a slash there. The training was ruthless. Wolfdancer was a good fighter, its where she had gotten her name of course. But this was just...torture. In order to avoid the tom she would train ruthlessly while awake, hunting, patroling, training her apprentice or whatever she had to do. She didnt remember the last time she had eaten, or slept, or groomed her pelt. She felt so much lighter and hurt so so much. She wasnt giving her body a rest and sitting here, with Honeycomb pressed into her side, only reminded her why she decided to train in the Darkforest. because she wasnt good enough. This was probably one of the first few times she had actually sat down, or even spoken to somebody; as she had been to busy training to avoid her kits. She felt like a bad friend, a bad mother, and just. a bad cat.

“Are you sure?” Honeycomb immediately asked; they knew her habit of putting on a stoic facade all too well-- they would have none of it. Of all the countless days in camp, the enby had not seen her pick up a piece of prey, rest or even stop to groom her fur: it was painful to watch, and presumably more painful to go through. Although they were not entirely responsible, Honeycomb felt as if they had done this. Seeing the molly they loved weakened to this point brought a sick feeling to their stomach, and they knew their guilty conscience had taken a huge hit. Almost sensing the direction in which she took her thoughts, they pressed a nose to her pelt, breathing slowly as they looked up at her. “I think you’re doing as best you can. You’ll do better when you can; you’ve just got to let yourself… I think. It’s hard, though, I guess.”

"Ive been trying, Honeycomb." her voice was softer as she met Honeycombs amber gaze,"Ive eben trying to be a mother, a friend, a mentor and a warrior. Ive been trying. I just," she paused for a moment,"want a break from trying." The molly was simply tired. Both physically and emotionally. She wanted a break from being a mother and having to worry, a break of her insecurities, a break from just everything. break from caring. Which is what lead her to the darkforest. She regretted the decision with all of her heart. What would Honeycomb think apoun hearing she was training there, hurting herself? They would feel guilty. And Wolfdancer didnt want that. So instead she gave a small nod to their question in reassurance,"Im okay, Im just dealing with some things, dont worry about it." she sighed, pressing her nose into the side of the enbys face, closing her eyes. The scent was so familiar, something that she wanted to smell for the rest of her life, the sweet scent of flowers. She missed them sharing a nest, she missed the warriors body next to hers when she slept, having their scent linger in their nest even after she had waken up. She yearned for something she couldnt have.

She wished that all the tensions between the clans would just melt away. Luckily the Syndicate seemed to calm down after their most recent defeat along with the death of their co-commander. Mistfall hadn't cared for Boreas, in fact the two were considered enemies. She dislikes and distrusted the late Syndicate commander. But even then, there was still the rising tensions between Thunderclan and Windclan, and even though Riverclan wasn't currently in a fight with the other clans, she could tell that Russestar was still distrustful towards Halestar nonetheless.
Sighing and knew that it must be difficult being leader of a clan. He had to worry about everything he did - he was their leader, his word was law and the clan was watching his every move. If he made a mistake, everyone would know and no everyone would get over it. Even his newest appointed deputy was already causing some of their clan-mates to talk, they seemed uncertain about Fallenstream and Russetstar himself was worried about it - but he did have hopes that Fallenstream would be a good thing for him and the clan. Even though it's been some time since the fall of Bucknight, there were just a paw-full of cats whom remained cautious about their newest leader. Even though the grey warrior had been striving to become leader at a young age, she had not thought about all the stress and responsibilty. The molly had only ever thought about being able to protect and help her clan, but now she was aware that there was a lot more then that in being a leader.
The molly was jerked out of her thoughts as someone addressed her. "Hmm?" Mistfall turned to see whom was speaking. She stiffened as her pale orbs feel upon Fallenstream. She shifted so that she was looking towards him, though a questioning look shown on her face. The two didn't get along for reasons, but mostly due to that they had very different views on those in charge - Mistfall wanted nothing more but to become leader while Fallenstream disliked leaders and believes they would abuse their power. And here he was, deputy of the clan while she was still a warrior. She felt a certain degree of betrayal since Russeststar was a close friend of hers and she wished to become his deputy ever since he was appoint leader.
"Let me guess, the change in rank invited a change in attitude?" Her ears flicked as she said this. It wasn't like she was trying to give him a rough time or anything, but she honesty wasn't sure why all of a sudden he was speaking to her. After a moment she decided to answer him anyway. "I suppose you are right; it has been awhile since we've spoken, hasn't it?Though I would be lying if I claimed that I expected this. In honesty, I'm quite surprised that you've decided to speak to me, what brings it up?" Curiosity flickered in her orbs as she watched the onyx deputy.
|
The ebony colored tom flicked his ear, his mind was going haywire, although he didn't like the molly he needed to get his mind off the recent events, he needed to get his mind off..off...off of something. It was eating away at him and it was just getting worse, he mixed up patrols, he mixed up names even, he was getting sicker and sicker with every passing day, Waterstreak was the first to notice it and he was the last to mention it. He could tell the moment the grey molly swiveled her head he would regret speaking to her, the confusion and hint of anger made the brawny warrior wish he spoke to someone else, but at the moment he was desprate and didn't plan on making this conversation short. With her statement he narrowed his blue orbs and lashed his tail, anger bubbled within him. She had no right to state something like that, just because he was a deputy didn't mean he would treat everyone differently. His orbs flickered with anger before it was replaced with annoyance "No, I figured we could speak to one another and try to get along for the sake of the clan, for the sake of the leaders sanity that is. We spoke once and immediately decided we hated each others guts even though I have no reason to dislike you." he stated, "You never did anything to me except disgree with my views, and at that time i forgot that, sometimes thats a good thing." he mumbled under his breath. He knew that not everyone agreed with what he disliked and with that he liked, Fallenstream had come to realize that they were...unique in a way, but being unique wasn't always good. Mistfall, during the one time the two spoke with eachother, had managed to not only get under his fur, but also dis everything he believed in, who wouldnt get hot headed? But after thinking about it and after speaking with Waterstreak he had come to realize that the other molly's input was somewhat important to his way of thinking. The deputy wasnt deaf, he could hear the whispers, the remarks, the assumtions, all of the tales that his other clanmates had managed to brew up, and in all honesty it hurt. They didnt believe that he could lead the clan, but who could blame them, he didnt believe himself either, he was broken, and so far, he didnt know how he was going to fix himself.
At the molly's question Fallenstream shrugged and sat himself down, his tail wrapping neatly around his paws. He focused all of his attention on the warrior infront of him, trying to ignore the buzzing in his head, the nagging voice, the constant hum of hatred. "Does there have to be a reason to come and talk with one of my clanmates? I'll tell you this much its not to put you in a patrol of any sort." he reassured, it seemed as though the gray warrior needed a break, something seemed to be worrying her, or she was just exausted from all the work she had been doing, she seemed do be working much harder than the deputy himself. After a few seconds of him looking down at his paws he lifted his gaze "I suppose i just need to take my mind off of...things." he said quietly, his lapis orbs danced with untold emotions, raw emotions. It was true, he needed to be distracted for a few moments, be distracted from the recent events, be distracted from honeypool. Fallenstream looked down at the ground for a second "...I'll make you a deal." he started, "I'll let you know what's troubling me if you tell me whats troubling you...we may not be the best of friends but we're still clanmates...we gotta help each other whenever possible for whatever possible." he stated, and if Mistfall held her end of the bargan he would hold out his, he would tell her everything, he just hoped it would help with the buzzing.

Indeed, she yearned for something she could not have— Honeycomb felt the same. Their heart ached as they heard the strained note to her voice; she was tired, and they saw it. Saw her for what she was. “I know,” they mumbled. “I really do.” Where she had been straining herself to the point of breaking, Honeycomb had been complacent to the point where they were disgusted by their own conduct; she’d been trying her best, and they had done what, acted like they were in the Dark Forest? They had nothing, no-one to live for except Wolfdancer, and they’d pushed her away. Where were they now, just feeling lonely while she was ‘just dealing with things’. There was no just to her predicament; she was going through the worst kind of torture. Taking a shuddering breath, Honeycomb inhaled her scent in turn, the smell of pine needles and saltwater giving them that steadiness they’d been lacking for the past few moons.

Wolfdancer stayed silent for a moment, allowing her head to rest on the smaller as he golden gaze fixed to something around camp. She didnt know what to do or how long it would take for things to be normal again. Honeycomb did mention things would happen one day, but nothing while her mother was in the picture. Hopefully Honeycomb wouldnt do something stupid like force themselves to be with a tom simply for their mothers approval. The thought only made Wolfdancer curl around the enby protectively. For a moment Wolf forgot about all the stuff happening; the dark forest, how her body ached, how Honeycomb had treated her, her insecurities. She forgot it all for a moment and continued to give slow, rumbling purrs that showed she was comfortable. "I want to share a nest again." she didnt know where the thought came from, and for a second she didnt know she said it out loud. It was a bold thing to say considering the placement they were in, but Wolfdancer didnt care. Baby steps.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
The multicolored tom, as usual, looking like a mixed character, stayed in the shadows of the clearing. Part of him, anyhow... the dark part. His half-and-half face was fascinating to stare at, and it made nice conversation, but Lunarpaw was not the type to feel good when others were staring and talking about him. What was there to like about it? And, the worst part was, Lunarpaw didn't really have any "friends." There were a lot of cats that he had met, but more of them could be considered enemies then friends. Especially because they all seemed to have one thing in common - making fun of his mixed colors. Did it really matter that much that he didn't look like a "normal" cat? But, as he often said, cats were afraid of or hated what they didn't know or what was different then them. Clan cats made fun of ex-kittypets because they were afraid of differences, or because they held resentment for those particular cats. Though Lunarpaw wasn't sure what he had done to these cats to have them hate him so deeply. Whatever he had done, he was definitely sorry about it - because it meant that now he was getting made fun of as though there were no tomorrow. It was as though they wanted nothing more then to drive him away. And did Lunarpaw care? Yes, very much, although he would be certain to stay away from those cats from now on. Those who bullied him were not going to get the satisfaction of making him feel bad. They never would.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
@Lonestar23
How can a cat who can't see a few feet in front of her and falls on her own two big paws can remain so optimistic almost of the time? A question that revolves around Briarpaw's entire life. She couldn't see as clearly as her clanmates yet she has an optimistic look on her blurry aspect of the world. To her, it was wonderful. She will sometimes complain to herself about it, but she realizes others have it worse than her. Briarpaw won't be able to identify cats from afar by sight so she mostly relies on her nose for distanced stuff. Briarpaw wasn't doing anything in particular but romping around the clearing while trying to prevent herself from tripping again. As she wandered she picked a faint but familiar scent of another cat and Briarpaw decided to follow it to the darker parts of the clearinf. Briarpaw felt a strange sense of deja vu. Even with how she was being, she ended gently bumping into a familiar face. She looks up at the bigger apprentice and mews "Hello!" to him.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
@Clover
What a mess she made. An absolute mess she has made for herself and two others. The honey colored molly sat where she saw as the safest place in the clearing to be. A dark, isolated part of camp that gave her company. No matter how good she hides, however, won't change her paranoia she feels at the moment.
She couldn't hide in the warriors den because he still had to rest there as well. She didn't want to be in plain sight either because herself easy to pin point by him. Who was this cat she was afraid of? Why, the very cat she was beginning to get close to lately, the intimidating Fallenstream. He knew so many incriminating things about her. He was there as she snuck out to see Fireflare, the WindClan tom. He was there when she attempted a confession. He was there to fight with the WindClan tom. And he was there when she desperately tried to stop the fight and yelled at her in turn. He knew too much. One of these days, he can just tell Russetstar and the clan of her forbidden WindClan affairs and have her banished. Right now, it's a torturous waiting game that seems more cruel than to finally give the punishment and have her die by waiting for the anticipation. Her issues were full and weighed her head down heavily. Oh, how much of a mess she is. What an absolute mess she created.

Re: RiverClan Clearing
Swanheart stretched as she left the warriors den in Riverclan. Her white fur shone in the morning light as her bright blue eyes scanned the clan and the members that were already awake. She walked to the elders den where she greeted the elders that were awake with a good morning and asking them if she could assist them with anything.
