The young kit mewed weakly. She was still too exhausted to do much, but she was thankful to be surrounded by her family. 'Am I dead?' she thought. She then mentally shook her head. There was no way she could be in Starclan and still feel so tired that she couldn't move. Right?

When his eyes landed down on his son, Ashpaw, he padded towards the apprentice, giving him a few sniffs. Their fur was drenched, but they had a heavier pelt than he did. ''You alright?'' His voice was gruff as it always had been, but he was worried about Ashpaw. As he was for Creampaw, at hearing his voice again, the tom paddled forward, breathing heavily until he saw Creampaw as well. He raised his tail high from the water, but it sunk once again at the heavy rain. ''Thank starclan, you toms are safe.'' He huddled close to them, and gave them each a gentle lick atop their head. Normally, Quietdance was not an affectionate tom, but this was desperate measures. He was scared. Now, that he got his sons with him, he hoped Ambercrackle was alright. She was carrying kits! He feared that her pregnancy would slow her down...not to mention, Feathermist. ''I have to go find your mother. Get to higher ground, alright?'' He told them, sternly. He wouldn't leave the area until he found Feathermist, and made sure she was alright. Even if he had to die trying. He also had to keep his kits safe. He expected them to be obedient and do as he said. He didn't give them time to reply as he paddled forward, hoping to catch a glimpse of his queen.

Feathermist stood on the edge of where she was with her clanmates, searching the waters below for any sign of her kits and mate. She heard them, right? Or was she imagining it? "Quietdance! Creampaw! Ashpaw! Ambercrackle!" she called, hoping they could hear her over the storm. Her voice was straining, but she refused to give up on her mate and kits. "Quietdance, Creampaw, Ashpaw, Ambercrackle!" she called again. She kept calling their names, glancing around in-between and searching for her family. They had to be okay. Feathermist wouldn't forgive herself if anything happened to them.

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
Crazybrain a warrior hopped into a tree shrieking in terror," WE ALL ARE GOING TO DIE! KILL YOUR KITS! THEY WON'T SUFFER IF YOU DO IT QUICKLY, BUT THEY'LL DIE SLOWLY AND PAINFULLY DROWNING. WE MUST BECOME LIKE SKYCLAN AND LIVE IN TREES AND SPEAK WITH THE SQUIRRELS AND EAT BARK AND LEAVES!" She yowled her fur was spiked up and wet her eyes were glowing and wild in fear her claws were unsheathed and dug into the trees. She had her back arched then she paused as a squirrel chattered she paused," What's that, you say you can't reach your nut stash, she reached in and pulled a nut out and gave it to the squirrel who started eatting noisily," Your Welcome, Sir Lancelot what? One of my clanmates killed Missy Lindsay, your mate? YOUR BABIES DIES THIS WINTER WHAT?!" She shoutted scaring the squirrel she was talking to," Sorry I forgot to lower my voice when talking to squirrels..." (OPEN!!!!)

He was mainly looking for his mother, and he swore he could had heard her call. The tom turned back to his mate, Mothflower, and he looked at his kits. Sunrisedapple held Twilightkit with a fierce hold, but gentle enough not to disturb the small kit. Eveningkit was safe, near her mother, and Nightfallkit was heavily drenched in rain, exhausted. Honeythistle would had cursed at Starclan for bringing this, but he stayed calm. He pushed his muzzle to the side of Mothflower's cheek, feeling the cold rain against his maw. ''I'll be back, I need to get my mother.'' He whispered in her ear, then turned to look at Sunrisedapple. ''You think you can take Nightfallkit, or is your paws too filled?'' He asked her. Sunrisedapple seemed to look like she was nodding, but instead she was throwing her head slightly towards Royalflash--the troublemaker who looked to be having a time of his life than to be thinking it was tragedy.
''Royalflash!'' Honeythistle yelled, his voice booming through the rain. It made Royalflash ears flattened to his head as he was scared that he done something wrong. Sure, he wasn't panicking as everyone else was. His fur was definitely completely drenched, yet that still didn't phase him. The tom, with a dejected look padded towards his father. Honeythistle turned his head and gently picked up Nightfallkit, flinching inwardly as he noticed his son slight shivering. He shoved the kit towards Royalflash, and Royalflash gently handled Nightfallkit by the scruff. ''Take him, I'll be back.'' His voice was deep and he turned to head back because he knew he heard Cedartuft's voice...he just didn't see her. With all the rain pouring down, it was hard to see anything.
As he continued to half-pad, half-swim through the water, his eyes caught sight of Pearlstream and their kit, Daturakit. They were safe. With his sister, Echoskip...and some other she cat that he really didn't know, but they were safe. His heart--only for a second, started beating again-- but then it stopped. He worried about his other kits. His other mates. Rosenose was expecting! She would give birth any moment! Strawberrythorn was nursery a recently born litter. The little scraps of fur was helpless! He had hoped someone had saved them. He didn't see them in the nursery, so they were out. Hopefully on higher ground, as his mate and other kits should be, but he trekked through the water. Looking for his mother. She was too old to be going through this. And, if anyone was going to help her, it was Honeythistle. She was the only she cat he would listen to, unknown to his siblings and father.
''Mother!'' He yelled, upon seeing her odd form. So skinny and frail. Her fur soaked against her, showing her bones. The tom half-swam his way towards her, and upon reaching her, he sniffed her around like a parent would do to their young. ''You alright, momma? Not hurting or anything?'' He pressed himself against her, trying to get a hint of her scent, but it was hard when the rain was pouring. ''We need to get you to higher ground. It'll be safe, come on. Mothflower and half of my kits are waiting for us up there.'' He told her, his voice low. The one thing he knew was that she was going to make it. His entire family was going to be fine.

Another sob wracked her body as the other approached her, quickly checking her over. Covered in mud, shaking from the cold and pelting rain; It was no secret that Cedartuft was miserable. Although, the reassurance of having her son near-by did help to improve her mood, the adrenaline was still coursing through her paws, alerting her to get out, to escape, but she knew she had to make sure the rest of her family was safe. "I'm alright, I'm alright." Her voice was wavering as she pressed herself against Honeythistle, the rain continuing to pour down around them. Her head was swiveling rapidly around as she tried to catch glimpse of any more family. Jumping slightly as a large crack of lightning lit up the sky, the molly slipped closer towards Honeythistle. It was difficult to hear him, due to the pounding of the rain and screeches filling the clearing, but Cedartuft was able to process what he told her. High ground, Mothflower and her kits. Thank Starclan. Although it seemed petty to have such a thought during such a devastating catastrophe, the senior queen couldn't help but be relieved to hear Mothflower's name. Out of all her sons mates, Mothflower was definitely her favorite and the presence of the other queen would help calm her. Not to mention, having her grandchildren around would also help her feel much better. Taking care of them would take the focus off of herself. She knew her son had seen her frail frame, something she desperately tried to hide from even her mate, but again, all that mattered now was survival.
"Have you seen anyone else? Your father? Brothers? Sisters?" Clinging to the other and entwining her tail with her kit's, Cedartuft slowly lead the other forward, more confident in her steps. They were basically swimming across the rest of the clearing, the water rising around their ankles. The queen cast her gaze downwards as an assault of stinging rain pelted them. It was unrelenting and painful, but only lasted for a second. What had they done to make Starclan so mad? She winced quietly, lifting her head back up to continue their trudge towards the small group. It seemed so far away. So much energy to exert for such a little distance.
"I don't think I'll make it!" She cried out, slowing down significantly than her original pace. It was an empty threat and the maine-coon did continue to climb, but damn was it a struggle. She was caked with mud by the time they made, her breath coming heavy and strained. Her lungs were bursting, they felt as if the were on fire, but at least she had some inkling of safety as mother and son made it. Taking a deep long breath, Cedartuft stumbled away from Honeythistle and over next to Mothflower, crumpling to the ground like a wet piece of paper. Spitting a mouthful of mud, she lifted her face up to the sky, letting the liquid slowly begin to wash away the gooey substance.

"I guess..." His brother replied "But you're not close to StarClan like Daypaw and I are...I just have...feelings...that there is an answer out there somewhere. Have hope Daypaw...the sun will shine again soon enough..." The grey kit assured the apprentice. Although Daypaw still looked grim.

Daypaw could only grit their teeth. Everycat always thought there was a reason, an explanation for things happening. Everybody always thought Starclan had meant this and lets it slide, that they are letting cats die at their mercy and are okay with it. Grateful even for sparing their life. Daypaw had seen cats die today, innocent cats that had so much more to live through. "Sometimes Starclan doesnt even know what their doing." they muttered under their breath. they were probably the only medcat that wasnt close to Starclan, to the point that they disliked, hated them to the point even mentioning them left a bitter taste in their mouth, and that wasnt the herbs. They continued to climb up the muddy hill.

A yelp was elicited at this, the cut compressed so that mud was trapped inside, the gritty detritus causing further irritation and pain. They winced, face contorting in a look of sheer agony. But, Avocetpaw stumbled back to their feet, at this point using the injured paw. But they couldn't put weight on it for long; they leaned back towards Daypaw, hoping for some sort of assistance.

Watching them trip they worried, Grabbing their scruff without digging their teeth into their skin to bad. Daypaw felt cold, they let their body shake as another wave of rain washed over their pelt. Being safe wasnt even the first thing on their mind right now. They had pateints to take care of, they had food to hunt so they were okay, they had to travel to get them to Riverclan. Daypaw felt the urge to just run. They wanted to just run to Riverclan and cry into Geckoleafs embrace. The two had bonded a bit, but Daypaw felt comfortable around her now. They wanted to be in a nice, dry nest and tae care of their patients. But they were struck out of their trance as they could feel the boom of the thunder in their chest. Pulling the apprentice up Daypaw shifted so they would be balanced on their shoulders now, them ontop of Day as the medcat would carry them. They could tell they couldnt walk much longer on their paw. "Im going to get you up on that hill and take care of your paw, alright?" they tried to speak with their usual witty confidence. But really, they were scared. They had no mentor to take orders from to know what to do, they had no one to rely on but themselves.

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
@Lunacross
Watching the ShadowClan camp beginning to crumble before her eyes was a unique albeit horrifying experience. Not only was it physically falling apart with dens collapsing and the resulting debris floating atop the muck and floodwater, but cats were panicked. Desperately seeking loved ones and family and friends, yowling, and it was severely overwhelming for a young Tinyfuzz who was trying to spot her mate among the swarm of clanmates.
"Peachfuzz!" She called into the frenzied crowd, fear seeping into her tone. Her paws felt rooted in place, standing water and mud running over them, while she refused to evacuate without her beloved mate. He'd left camp earlier to go hunting but hadn't visited her when he'd returned. If he returned, Tinyfuzz reminded herself with a sinking feeling and sudden uneasiness. The terrifying possibility that he hadn't come back or had already been swept away by the flood gripped her coldly, and her voice cracked as she tried again, "Peachfuzz! Peachfuzz! Where are you?" Growing more nervous with each minute, Tinyfuzz waited near the nursery, gaze trained on the fleeing cats as she hoped Peachfuzz would appear and accompany her.

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
@ CandyFlossCat
“Is this really how I’m going to die?” Pinewhisker thought to himself, the cold rush of water and darkness surrounding his lean body as he remained trapped under the flood water’s surface. No cat had heard his shrieks for help, nobody was coming to his rescue, he was alone and close to death itself - closer than he had ever been before in his entire life. He could feel the heavy rocks pressed against his hind leg, keeping him from escaping this nightmare and getting air. The brown-furred warrior could feel the exhaustion in his body slowly taking over, everything ever so slowly becoming less of a struggle as the tom-cat came close to accepting his fate now. Pinewhisker knew nothing about death and how it felt to go out this way, even fear had left him and now he was just here, unable to break free from all that held him down. He thought to himself, why does he try to escape now? This young warrior had no friends or family left to run to, only a clan that was practically gone from sight by now. He saw how horrific this place had appeared to them and he knew cats were quick to escape without even thinking of helping. Pinewhisker slowly closed his eyes, letting his body relax where it was now. There was hope though, Needlescar had persuaded him to stay and help the terrified cats and in doing so, he rescued Bumbledawn.
“Needlescar.” The name of the she-cat he had met only recently and her words whispered through his ears. “Okay.. Be careful.. I don’t want this to be the last time either..” The young tom-cat could still feel her warm fur as she nuzzled him before he raced off to save Bumbledawn. He wanted to see her again, knowing that she cared for him even though they had only met this morning during his hunt. They seemed to share a connection like any other and Pinewhisker knew that he would fail her now, knowing that there was no way out of this for him. Then, at that moment, all the memories seemed to flash before his eyes, seeing his family be taken by the flames of the forest, unable for him to save them. His eyes sprang open, the amber-hued coloring seeming to shine in the darkened water. He couldn’t stand to fail her too, like his family - no. No, this would not be how he went to the stars. Not yet, not now.
Immediate adrenaline coursed through his body and he began to thrash wildly, kicking his stuck hind leg and hissing in pain as the rocks dug into his flesh. He repeated to himself her name over and over again, fighting for this she-cat that he barely knew, but he knew that she needed him, she was the only one he had left now. He couldn’t do this to her, he knew the feeling of loss too well by now. Pinewhisker uttered a scream of muffled pain as he ripped his leg from it’s confines, the water turning red around it as he immediately swam upwards. The tom-cat’s head broke through the surface and he gasped for breath, sudden light coming into his widened eyes as he seemed to be freed from death itself. This moment of freedom was, however, broken quickly as he was swiftly carried down the current, but the warrior growled and forced himself against the water, his front paws coming out of the water and sinking into the wall of mud that lead to the dampened grass surface. He heaved himself up, hissing in pain with each go and Pinewhisker never stopped. He never did. Each heave of his bleeding, weakened body made him want to yowl out in pain, but there was time for that. Paw after paw, sinking into the mud as he climbed up the breaking wall of earth, but soon, his claws sank into the green grass and with a finally huff of breath, the male threw himself up and over into the grass, collapsing on his side. Low, deepened breaths came from the male for a moment as he laid there, but he was far from giving up now. The smell of blood flooded his senses and saw the gaping wound in his leg, bleeding from the jagged rocks.
This would have to be tended to later though, Pinewhisker needed to find Needlescar and make sure she was safe, he didn’t care about his injury anymore. There were more important matters at paw here and the brown-furred tom lifted himself to his paws, standing on three legs as he didn’t put weight on his injury. He overlooked the camp, seeing cats still fighting for dear life and he could only hope that she wasn’t one of them. He sucked in a breath and called out for the smaller she-cat. “Needlescar!” Pinewhisker shouted, looking for her.

Re: ShadowClan Evacuation
Frostedflight sprinted after his Clanmates, running hard to keep up. He could only hope his mate in RiverClan would be okay. If ShadowClan was being flooded, he couldn't imagine how RiverClan would fare down at the water. Focusing his mind on the present, the Turkish Van continued on.
--
Burrpaw dashed away from the collapsing camp. The cats around him were manic, searching the crowd for mothers, fathers, mates, kits, and...
Mentors!
Golden eyes flew wide as the Bengal skidded to a stop and searched the crowd around him. The Siamese was nowhere to be seen. Where are you? Turning in a circle, the apprentice searched the crowd for his missing mentor. Not seeing the older tom, Burrpaw ran on. But as he ran, he raised his voice.
"SWIFTFANG! WHERE ARE YOU?!"
@Gusty
