"I thought you didnt hunt." Janja said suddenly.
"I dont." Kion said vaguely, keeping watch on the elk.
Janja blinked. "So.. Why..?"
Kion didnt answer, flicking his tail over Janja's ears. "Eyes ahead buddy."
Janja groaned in frustration. "Can you just answer me."
"I dont answer stupid questions." Kion said smoothly, trotting forward as the elk separated itself from the others, heading in a different direction. Taking this chance, Kion bounded forward. "Cmon."
Janja sighed, but he followed, shooting forward to keep pace with Kion. "You're weird."
"All the best people are." Kion winked at him, before lunging at the elk, slamming his paws down onto its spine and sending it crashing to the ground.
Wasting no time, Janja rushed forward as well and sank his claws into the creature's throat, killing it quickly before it had time for a struggle.
"Nice." Kion leaped off to stand beside him, raising his paw for a high-five. "Im impressed."
"I could say the same to you." Janja smirked, high-fiving him. It seemed they'd both forgotten for the moment they were supposed to be enemies.

"Sooooo......." Nuka cleared his throat.
"Soo....." Vitani blinked.

Atazi twitched her tail. "Why?" She finally asked, her claws sinking into the ground. "Why would M- Zira leave me for those hyenas?" She asked, her eyes narrowing.

(Atazi just hates her family in general, but we can work up to them having a good relationship.)

Finally, Usiku had enough. He turned, and narrowed his eyes at Sade, blocking her from walking away. "Giza, Tsuki, leave us be." He ordered, picking up Sade and walking towards a quiet, secluded area. He placed Sade down on a high rock, almost like a throne and he stared out at the landscape. "You seem uncertain about joining us, my daughter." He said, not looking at her. He raised his head, his eyes focused on the form of Pride Rock in the distance. "I understand. However, now is not the time for doubt. You're either with them, or us." He stared at her, eyes almost cold. Calculating. This was not the face of a loving father at the moment, pleading for his daughter to join. This was the face of a leader, who needed to make a choice for those he lead. "You've heard the tale of your mother's death. But your mind had been poisoned by Koja, with his lies about the Outlands and I." He began circling the rock, his black mane rippling in the wind as he gazed at her with a stern glare. "Sade, you belong with us. You are strong, fast, graceful. You bear the markings of a true Outlands Warrior. And above all, you are my daughter. Even your friend agrees that what is happening in the Pridelands is not right. Why should they have accepted her into their ranks so easily, yet the rest of us suffering the same fate are ignored? Do not let doubt cloud your mind. Do not hide secrets, for they shall be your undoing." Usiku raised his head with a growl.

"Look, Atazi we didn't know anything!" Nuka shook his head.
"You know Mother only tells Kovu the important stuff," Vitani added. "We would have come for you if we'd known!"

Atazi didn't respond, only lowering her head. "Kovu, Kovu, Kovu..." She muttered under her breath, almost in disgust. "Mom still doesn't get that he has no interest in taking over the Pridelands." She grumbled, flicking her tail.

"Yeah. Important stuff. She tells me stuff alright." Kovu huffed, padding over to him. "Like "lets kill the Pridelanders! Lets earn Kiara's trust to kill her and Simba one day! Here's our dumb little plan my little Prince"!" He swiped at a bone, sending it flying with a growl. Then he looked at Atazi, and huffed. "She just doesnt take a hint."

"Thanks, Kion." Janja finally said as they dragged the elk to the Outlands. "I guess I... Owe you one."
"I guess so." Kion smirked. "In that case.."
"You want me to stay out of the Pridelands for a while." Janja interrupted.
"No." Kion shook his head. "I want you to meet me.. Here. Flat Ridge Rock. Tonight. Just to talk."
"About what?" Janja blinked.
"Anything." Kion held his gaze.
Janja gazed at him for a moment, then finally smiled. It wasnt a "Im gonna kill you in your sleep", evil smile, it was genuine, warm. "....Well then its a date."
Kion felt his face heat up, knowing if he didnt have fur his face would be beet red. "Right."
"See you, Lion Cub." Janja chuckled softly, eyes warm. "You should get outta here before your friends start lookin' for ya."
"Right." Kion turned away, tail flicking, the smile on his face growing wider by the second. "See you, Janja. Remember... Tonight." With that, he bounded off into the Pridelands.
Janja watched him go, and smiled again before grabbing the elk and dragging it back into the shadows.

Atazi smiled wryly. "Zira is something different." She scoffed. "Leaving me for the hyenas to 'toughen me up'." She said bitterly, staring at her mother. "What a loud of zebra crap."

"Oh she's full of that." Kovu smiled wryly at his sister, glancing at Zira for a moment.

"Somebody looks happy." Kiara teased Kion as he padded up. She was settled beside the gorge, stretched out on her side with a smile.
"I am." Kion sat beside her. "Whatcha doing?"
"Thinking about life." Kiara hummed. "Thinking about... What im gonna do when im Queen."
"How much pressure is it?" Kion gazed at her.
"Alot." Kiara shrugged. "But.. I've gotten used to the fact that im going to be ruler someday. Just like you've gotten used to the fact that you're the leader of the Lion Guard. We all have our roles."
"Yeah." Kion purred. "We do."
