Brindlestream had to admit she was surprised by Spottedpaw's obedience. "Good job. Now try again." she stated. Especially surprised that her apprentice wasn't talking back to her. After all, Brindlestream wasn't being the nicest teacher, well mentor. But Spottedpaw didn't seem to care. That surprised Brindlestream. Never had anyone not talked back to her. The older molly said nothing, and did not show her surprise. Though she knew that it was vibrating of her pelt like a wave. Brindlestream wanted to yell at herself for being surprised. The new generation was strange. Perhaps Spottedpaw was just a quiet cat. One who didn't say much. One who could sense things, but never said anything. Perhaps that was who she was. It would make sense, it did make sense. Spottedpaw perhaps preferred to be observant, but that didn't stop Brindlestream's surprise from coming.

"Spottedpaw paused before jumping. Bridlestream seemed to be contemplating something. Its probably nothing she thought and then leaped. She made sure to try to get a good grip on Bridlestream so she couldn't be knocked off.

Generally, Falconclaw was a logical cat. And he knew that the most realistic, logical thing was that not everyone in WindClan were evil. Yet somehow, he couldn't quite bring himself to believe that. So instead of agreeing readily with Wolfsoul, the tom got a grunt and a slight lowering of his head, eyes gleaming with some battling emotions. "When I think of the word strange? I feel proud, sort of. Loyalty and honesty are strange things with the Clan we're living in now. Intelligence is becoming stranger by the day. So I feel proud." He got the idea that that wasn't the kind of strange Wolfsoul was talking about, and gave his friend a semi-concerned look. Concern was not one of Falconclaw's most visible emotions.

In fact, rare was a time when he would look or act concerned. But now was one of those times. "A good thing," He responded in his most gentle voice (which, to be honest, wasn't that gentle) and looked at Wolfsoul with a semi-worried expression. "Is there something bothering you, my friend?" It was an affectionate term, since while Falconclaw might think of someone as a friend, he wouldn't actually say it out loud. Not really. So the fact he admitted it verbally meant that he must very much like Wolfsoul.

Snowstar's nose twitched, mouth opening slightly. "Mm. You're right, they usually stick close to WindClan. This one crossed over." She pricked her ears. "Well, lets catch it,"

Foxthorn smirked. "Deal."

"Yep that's definitely thrush," Bubblestep mewed when the reached the tree. An old bird was fluttering about on the ground, barely rising into the air. "I think it's wing's broken."

Nightshade nodded, sinking a little to the ground and ascending toward the smell.

"Oh yeah, squirrel time!" Turtlesong scampered off.

Nightshade nodded, sinking a little to the ground and ascending toward the smell.

"Oh yeah, squirrel time!" Turtlesong scampered off.

"Poor thing." Roarclaw murmured. The golden Tom usually took pity on every creature - Even if that creature should be prey. "Alright, lets kill it quick. Put it out of its misery." He sighed, gazing at the thrush.

Snowstar followed, keeping her tail slightly lifted so she didnt rustle any leaves.

"Alright!" Foxthorn shot after Turtlesong, smiling.

Bindlestream felt Spottedpaw's grip on her. It was tight, good for her second try, though not the best. The older molly stumbled back a bit, falling over. Again, she was surprised. Though Spottedpaw made mistakes, she seemed to get the hang of it easily. A thing that Brindlestream was never able to do as an apprentice. The molly was unbelievably surprised, which, she was sure, was to the apprentices gain. The young molly, after a few tries had pinned her down. Brindlestream had to admit Spottedpaw had impressed her.

Nightshade almost wanted to purr in satisfaction when he spotted the rabbit, but kept quiet so not to startle it. He creeped forward, tail tucked under him in order to prevent any sound.

Roarclaw drifted off to the left, keeping his eyes fixed on the bird. Sympathy flickered through his amber eyes as he crouched, wanting to put the creature out of its misery.

Snowstar smirked to herself, continuing forward and nodding over at Nightshade, lowering herself into a crouch.

Minkpaw felt adrenaline flood them, causing their heart to race wildly and their fur to rise on end. They were alert, ready for nearly anything - except for Amberflame, they weren't ready for Amberflame. They hadn't expected the older feline to be so competitive, especially with the young, somewhat immature, friendly, and inexperienced apprentice. Minkpaw didn't think their mentor would continue with the attack. They'd expected Amberflame to stand, blankly praise Minkpaw, and end the session - get as far away from Minkpaw as possible. At the sight of the determination, however, Minkpaw knew this session wouldn't end on an easy note. Yet they didn't take notice of the rather serious air surrounding the two of them, instead looking at the spar as play. Minkpaw looked straight into Amberflame's eyes, their own eyes revealing their uncertainty. Minkpaw went with their instincts, and ran right back at Amberflame, kicking up dirt behind them. The apprentice didn't really know what would happen next, though. Would Amberflame successfully bring them down with experience? Or would Minkpaw outsmart the older feline who was blinded by competition?
