Strays and Farm Dogs

so this idea was mainly TheBread's idea, so, like, all the credit goes to them.

Strays:
The Strays are a group of stray dogs with unknown pasts. Several years ago, they formed a group, and then that group became a pack. Their rank system is a bit similar to the Warriors.
Alpha
The alpha is the leader of the entire pack. They are usually strict and sometimes ruthless, and do not mess around. The Alpha was never the Deputy, though. The Alpha is chosen by blood, so if you are the Alpha's son, you will become the Alpha. Like the Ancient Egyptian's Pharaohs that married their sisters and had children with them to keep the "royal blood" it's the same with the Strays. The deputy is usually not directly related to the Alpha, but they may be cousins or second-cousins. Anyway, most of the pack is at least a little bit related to the Alpha. By now, there are very little dogs that were actually the originally the strays that formed the pack.
Deputy
The Deputy is the Second-In-Command. There is only one, and they DO NOT become the Alpha after the Alpha dies. They merely help with the Alpha's duties.
Fighters
The fighters are usually the more dangerous, fast, and lethal. They tend to be more ruthless and strong. They protect the Pack and fight as well.
Hunters
Hunters are the more sleek and agile. They are quick on their feet, and silent. They catch food for their camp, and are more on the peaceful side.
Apprentices
The apprentices are older than pups but younger than fighters and hunters. They train for both hunting and fighting, and are chosen by the Deputy on which they will be.
Healer
The healer is hated by the pack, and are sort of outcasts. They are treated terribly, and hated by most. They are called awful things, and made fun of. But it is against the pack laws for them to argue back. If they do, a severe punishment is put in place. The healer treats the wounds of the pack, and aids them when they are unwell.
Healer-In-Training (AKA Hit)
The Healer-In-Training is picked by the Deputy when the Healer begins to get older and need more help. The new Healer is usually the runt of a recent litter, or a cripple.

The Farm Dogs:
The Farm Dogs are a more peaceful group, with a more stable rank system.
Alpha
Like the Strays, the Alpha is the leader of the pack. They are chosen by the pack members, rather than being born into it. They lead peacefully and consider the thoughts of the other members of the pack before doing anything.
Deputy
The Deputy is chosen by the new Alpha after the old Alpha dies. They are the Alpha's second in command, and ensure the rules and orders the pack. They do most of the dirty work, though.
Healer
Unlike the Strays, the Healer is highly respected. They heal the sick and injured, and are very organized and know what they are doing.
Healer's Trainee
The Healer's Trainee is chosen when the pup is around 6 months old, and they know what they are capable of. The Healer chooses the Healer's Trainee when they feel that they need help.
Warriors
The warriors fight for the pack, and are more on the offense side, rather than defense. They are fast and skilled in battle.
Guards
The guards are the more burly dogs who guard the camp from enemy packs. They are strong and quick-thinkers.
Hunters
The hunters hunt for the pack, and are the more lithe and small dogs. They are swift and silent on their paws.
Trainees
The Traniees vary. They are the dogs older than pups, but too young to be a guard, hunter, or warrior. There are Guard Trainees, Hunter Trainees, and Warrior Trainees. When the pup is young, it is decided based on their physical appearance of which they will specialize in.

So basically, the two packs are not enemies, but the don't get along. Relationships between packs are allowed, but frowned upon. The pup of a Stray dog and Farm dog are usually disliked by the others. There are distinct boundaries around the two packs, and they usually argue about nothing. TheBread will post the links to the appearances of the territories here later on. The Strays Alpha is reserved for TheBread, and I will be the Farm Dogs Alpha. All other ranks are open, but do not apply for Healer in Training or Healer's Trainee until there is a Healer. Ask them first before applying for HIT or Healer's Trainee.
