Rainpaw looked down at his paws in shame. He knew that what he had said to his mother was unspeakable, something a son should have never have done. "No, I've come to apologize, Mom." He said, his tone was full of sadness. "I'm sorry I even abandoned you in the first place. I just couldn't believe that you know.." He avoided the subject in case a wave of new tears came to her. He shook his head as if to stop saying what he was going to say.
"What I'm trying to say is," He sat down in front of her and put his gray paw on her white one. "I was wrong to say those things and I'm sorry I did.
I know you regret it." He did a once over of her state, his ears flattening.
"We all make mistakes, Snowyfur. I'm sorry that Dad left you like this,
but he's also grieving. He still loves you in a way." The tom promised as he leaned over to lick his mother's head, trying to lick away her tears and even her sorrow. "You're still my mother and you always will be."

Snowyfur sighed, her tail flicking gently. If only Fogfur felt the same as her... But at least I have my kit back... She thought to herself. Snowyfur sat up quite suddenly and gave a small lick to Rainpaw's ear. "Thank you," she murmured quietly, her eyes still sorrowful. "I'm sorry I chased away your brother, I know how close you two were..." Snowyfur's fluffy tail fell on to her son's back. "And you are not a disgrace to me, I love you, no matter what happens, and even if you are afraid of water." Snowyfur sighed, her eyes falling to her paws, I brought all of this on myself... the warrior thought, I just wish things had gone differently. Snowyfur laid back down in her puddle, her eyes looking around the clearing instead of glazed in depression. Snowyfur slowly grazed her tongue along her matted fur, slowly brushing out the stubborn knots.

Riverpaw went to the fresh kill pile.Her nose wrinkled when shecame close.'Please fast better than you smell!' she pleaded in her mind,picking up a large fish and varying it nto suntail."Erm...You have the first bite." She said,making sure it tasted good to him first .

Riverpaw leamt down and took a bite.After she swallowed she nodded."It has that water like flavor that frigs does,but it is not near as good." She said.

Suntail padded over to her. Even though he wasn't that far away but if he was going to get a bite he had to be at least two steps closer.
