Lucky stepped outside of the camp for the first time since arriving in Riverclan. She had finally gotten the ok from Daypaw and Geckoleaf to extend her walk to the territory right outside the clearing. Her shoulder was almost healed now, though it still twinged a little if she extended it a little too far. And just like they said there would be, she had a scar. She didn't mind though. It along with her torn ear would help remind her that she could survive anything. The black she-cat moved closer to the bank of the River and sat on her haunches, staring at the water as it sparkled in the sunlight.

Applepaw was minding her business walking then saw a cat she hadn't seen before she sniffed They don't smell like Shadowclan or Riverclan...are our clan scents mixing she narrowed her eyes and stiffly, but not aggressively meowed," What clan are you from?" She resisted the urge to bare her teeth.

What had they done to her? He skulked the territory, coming to the river, waters riled up from the down pour that rained upon him. He needed to cross to reach the clan but how could he swim in that current? He had to find another way across. So he began to trace the river, and there a fallen tree made a bridge. He slowly stepped on it. The rain having made the moss slippery, began to cause problems for him as he crossed. Stay calm, stay focused he thought to himself. He made it to half way when his paw slid, causing his body to follow. Instinctively, his claws unsheathed and grabbed the wood, but as he tried to climb up, his claws dragged along the softened wood. "No... No no no!" He meowed, and he looked down, seeing the raging waters below. "Come on, come on!" He growled, but his paw slipped, leaving him dangling by his other paw. "Help! Somebody!" He called, feeling his claws begin to slip.

The deputy had been padding through the territory, his blue optics flickered with unease, so much had been on his mind, the incident with Fireflare and Honeypool, him being a deputy. It had been a few moons since he had been announced the deputy, and he still couldn't get his mind set right, so many opinions and facts running though his head, so many arguments and things that don't add up. His gaze was focused on the ground in front of him, his ears pinned to the sides of his head. He came out to the territory in hopes that he would clear his mind, maybe forget everything....dissapear for a while. As he was walking aimlessly around a sound caught his attention, it pulled him out of his trance. His ears picked up and his orbs flicked from side to side, trying to figure out if it was just his imagination. After a second he spotted a white ball of fluff, gripping tightly onto the wet log that his clanmates use to cross into the other side of the territory. Fallenstream grit his teeth and sprinted towards the tom. The deputy skid to a stop and sunk his teeth into the scruff of the white tom and yanked him up and carefully made his way off he log. Once they were safely off the log he dropped the apprentice down and glared at him, his blue orbs flickered with annoyance "What in the name of Starclan were you doing." he questioned, his tail lashing behind him. After he took a wiff of the tom he scrunched up his nose and let out a huff "Did you fall behind the group? Honestly come with me...whats your name?" he asked, his voice deep and gruff, he was exhausted, especially after padding through the rainstorm.

Goldeneye blinked as the cat who had called out his name turned out to be the Riverclan deputy. That surprised him slightly. What would the Riverclan deputy be doing out in a crowd of Shadowclan cats? That was a question for another time, or maybe he would find out in a few moments, he would have to see. The deputy had to calm himself down as the other one caught his breath. "Nice to meet you as well," the deputy said calmly, "I'm Goldeneye, " the tom added, even though Fallenstream probably knew that already. You could never be too careful he supposed. Hearing that Russetstar sent Fallen, Goldeneye blinked once, though he nodded, "Thank you," he smiled. It was good to know that not all Riverclan cats were as horrible as he had been told as a kit. Then again, most of the stories from when he was a kit were exaggerated nursery tales. "You lead the way," the tom murmured, smiling. He followed Fallenstream nervously, not wanting to go ahead, it was nice to just be lead for a moment, and not be a leader. Well, he wasn't leader yet, and he was ever so happy for that fact. However, he did organize the patrols, and that was quite a bit to do, even if it didn't seem like that. Or maybe he was just weak, he had no idea. "It is a horrible flood," Goldeneye murmured, "Do you experience things like this often in Riverclan?" He asked awkwardly, this was a clan centered around water after all. The word "River" was in the name for Starclan's sake! Hearing Fallenstream ask if Daypaw had a vision, the tom shook his head, "No, they didn't," he said, blinking. Did they have one, and they just hid it? Golden had no idea. He really hoped that the enby hadn't hid it however. If they had, there would have to be some consequence. He stopped himself dead in his tracks, now was not the time to worry about that, looking at Fallenstream now, wanting to see what he did.

The inky warrior turned his head slightly, just enough so he could see the other deputy in the corner of his eye. His gaze lingered for a few seconds until he turned his focus back to the group of cats infant. Goldeneye looked tired, anyone would be able to see that, and the black tom understood that exhaustion too well. Although he himself was also tired, he felt as though the other was much, much more tired than the ebony colored tom himself. The deputy stopped and looked around, his lapis colored optics danced with unease, the river was raging and it was swelling up due to the rain storm. He grit his teeth "Fox dung." he spat, there was no safe way for them to cross, although most of the group had made it across the river with the now broken hollow log. At the other deputy's spoken gratitude he turned his head and gave him a small smile "Of course, but its a little too soon to be thanking me, I've gotta help you and your clan get there safely." he said "The log that we usually use to cross the river has broken in half, the river's too rough to swim across." he stated. The deputy grit his teeth and lowered his head, his ears folded to the side of his head. There was now only the longer route to take, and it annoyed the tom, even though he promised that he would show them the quickest and safest way. The question Goldeneye threw at him was a needed one, it managed to seethe his anger for a moment "Oh only every once In a while, really stuff like this only happens when a storm comes along." he stated, although he did say stuff like this happen every once in a while this would be his first encounter with such a horrible disaster. "We have to take the long way, its the safest way now that our log has been broken." he said as he started to make his way around the river, "and really? They didn't? How odd....maybe...maybe this wasn't starclans doing." he suggested. Why would Starclan bring such wrath upon Shadowclan and not warn them or at least tell them how they should fix it. It was all too confusing for the deputy to comprehend at the moment.

Lucky turned and looked at the she-cat, behind her on the bank, her torn ear flicking as she saw that the she-cat looked to be on the edge of aggression. She stood up and faced her, giving her tail a friendly wave to hide her nervousness. "Oh, hello. I'm part of Shadowclan," she replied ambiguously. It wasn't a lie. She had been invited to join by Goldeneye after all and she had accepted the offer. Lucky wasn't sure what to say next though.

She must also be from Shadowclan Lucky realized. "I guess you could say I'm new," Lucky admitted, turning over a rock on the bank with her paw. "I accidently stumbled onto Shadowclan land after I was attacked by a dog. It's how I got these," she explained, point to her shoulder and ear. Daypaw found me, and Goldeneye asked me to join. I've been in the medicine den since, healing." Lucky watch the other cat carefully as she spoke, curious to see how her clanmate would react to her story. Everyone's going to find out sooner or later.

Shardkit let out a wail and blindly stumbled around,
searching for her family. Soon, she felt fur under her paw and climbed onto of her brothers.

Lucky perked up her ears. "Really? Were you a kittypet too?" she asked, excited about the odea of having another cat to talk to about it. Clan life was very different from her old life. And she supposed that was what it was now.
