Frostedpetal shivered in the unfamiliar territory, waiting; she was always waiting, it seemed. The flood had only happened so long ago, and although it had been several days, she still felt the phantom chill of water battering into her sides, pummelling her until it felt as if she was about to give in-- the slim molly took a deep breath. She was safe now, and she was just taking a moment to think. That was all.
Casting that ice-blue gaze of hers to her paws, Frostedpetal flicked a brindled ear as her thoughts meandered to the next thing on the agenda, her son, her darling kit, Lynxthroat. Although he had quite publicly made it clear that he'd wanted nothing to do with her, the daintily built molly still had that niggling maternal feeling. Couldn't he see that he was hurting her, himself and Lopinghare? She shook her head, lost in her own world, reliving the moment; the humiliation, the loss. His eyes would be opened eventually, the she-cat supposed. All he needed was time.
Between losing her home and her son, she was... not coping as well as she had hoped. Raising her head ever so slightly, Frostedpetal's nose twitched as she detected the telltale scent of her lover's approach.
|
Lopinghare padded along the worn path that the many, many cats before had used before her. Her tail gently swept the forest floor below her as she padded on, hoping to see her mate Frostedpetal. The siamese molly smiled at the thought of her. Lopinghare loved her mate more than anyone could ever imagine. She didn’t care what others thought of her, as long as she still had Frostedpetal. Lopinghare looked over the river and then up to the sky. The sun shone down on her, but in the distance she could see darkening storm cloud. The molly reasoned that she should get going before the rain hit.
The siamese turned back toward the trail and padded along. Soon she found the sweet scent of her lovable mate and hurried along. Lopinghare came to a clearing crowded with grass and small pebbles. “Frostedpetal!” Lopinghare purred, her purr full of emotion. Lopinghare skipped over to her mate and gave her an affectionate nudge.

(She.can open her eyes whenever you want her too)
Hollydawn looked at bramble,"should I go ahead and move them to the nursery?"
(If she does move them there will be some cats that question her so if you, @ Burnpaw, or @ Charmer have any free RiverClan cats that's were you can use them real quick)

Twisting about to meet her mate, she leaned into the contact between them, tail raising in delight as the pair of them gently collided; she had been waiting for this. Even if everything else she had was gone, she would still be happy with only having Lopinghare. The molly was the only one who'd truly been there, the only one who had cared. She still was, it seemed. "'Hare, my love," the white-and-grey molly purred as she dragged her small pink tongue along the colourpoint she-cat's cheek, fussing about her as she always did.
"It feels like it's been too long since I left our nest-- I had been waiting for you." Frostedpetal folded her paws beneath her small bodice; she'd chosen this particular clearing because it reminded her of home. Starclan, how she missed the familiarity that Shadowclan's territory held! She only was coping because her mate was around, anyways.

@ corgi - Being having some problems lately with getting messages across. So I'll just see if this post reaches you and it will hopefully be a good start
Smokestep

Smokestep was watching the river carefully. The Shadowclan warrior had decided to go out of the crowded camp though she was still tired. She hid in the small cover of waterplants, shaking her fur every now and then; she missed the home of the pine trees dearly. It had never hit her that much how important the swampy land and pine trees was for her. Still stuck deep in her thoughts the Shadowclan warrior hadn't realized the sound of pawsteps nor the scent of a riverclan warrior.

Honeypaw nodded,"Yeah. And with some apprentices from our clan bullying them there cowering, like I've seen this cowardace Shadowclan apprentice who sleeps in the clearing rather than the apprentice den."

@ Burnpaw @ Flameleaf
Perchkit snuggled into his mother's soft belly fur as he continued to nap.
(I would but Perchkit is actually my first and only RC cat. The only cat I have in RC is a recent kittypet named Lucky, and she's not going to have reason to be suspicious since she's so new to clan life).

He just made friends whenever he could and he definitely got his motivation and charge from being around other cats. "It is indeed. StarClan really blessed us this green-leaf," The feline mewed as he followed Russetstar's gaze into the territory around the two of them. And indeed they had. The Evil Era was over - the Clan had recovered from losing Blackgaze, and Arcticstorm felt that Fallenstream made an excellent deputy. Some might be overwhelmed at the thought of actually talking to the leader. Arcticstorm? Like everything else, he took it in stride. This was nothing more then an ordinary day for him, with another cat to talk to. Something that he enjoyed very much.

"...Really so! I'm glad that our clan is flourishing- perhaps we've been through some hard times, but things like this always help remind me that RiverClan gets through everything. We're a strong clan." He grinned, glancing out into the territory rather wistfully as he let out a sigh. So much had happened, and it was almost one catastrophe after another with this clan. It was hard to keep track of everything that happened, but every day, they were able to recover. He had faith in his clan, and faith in everything.

Her new friend's, as she decided Duskfeather was, mention of the death of Shadowclan didn't faze the ivory warrior, in fact, the implication went quite over her head. After continued exposure, Cloudstrike would certainly pick up on it, but after only one mention, the molly simply had no space to waste on musings on another cat's personality. It wasn't any of her business what Duskfeather chose to speak about.
When the sandy Riverclan warrior corrected her, Cloudstrike was already on another tangent and then she began walking before she could respond. When Duskfeather caught up with her outside of the camp, Cloudstrike fell quiet to listen to her companion speak. Then, she sang out her response to Dusk's previous statement. "You're right, my fur is rather long. It's not too bad, though, I just have to spend more time grooming it." She didn't address the difficulties it would bring to swimming at all, but rather continued on, "That sounds like fun! I've had enough water today that I don't want to get swept away by that powerful river. I heard a story once that a cat got swept away on a river and ended up in the biggest lake ever! Some cats saved his life, but they turned out to have tails, like fish tails! They taught him how to swim and after a while, he grew a fish tail. Hmm, that might have been a dream." The snowy warrior pondered that for a moment, before shrugging it off and smiling serenely.
The she-cat was excited to learn how to swim and could be a bit kit like when excited, however, at that moment she was focusing on trying to come up with a nickname for her teacher. "Not Dusky, that's too obvious." She murmured aloud without realizing it. "Feathery? Feathers?" Cloudstrike continued in this way for most of their trip to the river before finally calling out, "I know!" Turning to Duskfeather with an innocent, happy smile, the Shadowclan warrior exclaimed, "I'll call you Dawny!"
(She chose the literal opposite of her name to be her nicknameXD)
|
{Honestly, that seems like something she would do from what I've seen already xD}
Seeing as the other she-cat didn't seem to be bothered by her rather profound mention of death, Duskfeather seemed to dawn a happier look, her eyes focusing on the white she-cat for a moment. Now isn't that a rarity. It wasn't very often that another cat wasn't phased or upset by mentioning of death or dead bodies or something else just as morbid as the previously stated; while she never really cared about what other cats thought or said, it was a bit of a relief to finally have someone not ask her to be quiet about such things. Now she wasn't stupid, she didn't want to push it and have a full out conversation about how the death of one clan would effect all of the others and surely the surrounding ecosystem because after all, she didn't want to risk driving away a potential new friend. So she let the conversation drop. And just as easily as a current shifts, so did the conversation.
"Personally I'm glad that my fur is on the shorter side of the spectrum.
The only thing that is unfortunate is when leafbare comes, but I can deal with it." She decided to indulge on the small tangent of fur length, even though that's not why she made mention of the Shadowclan warriors fur. Cloudstrike probably knew what she was talking about and likely in turn decided to just not make mention of it. That was actually smart on her part. Moving the conversation to something that wouldn't be a dead end. Huh. I think I'm starting to like this cat.
Even if it wasn't purposeful and that's just how Cloudstrike's thought process went, Duskfeather couldn't help but be impressed.
"Ah.. Yes that sounds like quite the fantasy, I would highly doubt that would be a real occurrence. More than likely it was one of your dreams, after all, you seem to have quite the.. Imagination." Meowed the sandy brown she-cat, looking back ahead and noting that the stream she was heading to was now visible. And with that knowledge, she decided it was best not to start speaking again, they would likely reach it before being able to finish their topic anyways, especially with the tangents the other she-cat went off on.
One ear swiveling in Cloudstrike's direction, she paid attention to what she was saying without looking over, her paws carrying her swiftly to the water in which she would stop at the streams edge just as the Shadowclan warrior exclaimed her new nickname. Tilting her head and looking at the she-cat, she tried to read her face to see if she was playing. What she say there was not amusement like this was a joke, but innocent happiness.
"Dawny.. Not so catchy, I believe Dawn would be better suited for nickname standards, but call me as you wish." Clearing her throat, she'd look at the stream, remembering when she was but an apprentice. Her first swimming lessons.
"Well we're here. Currents not strong, so just start wading out a little bit,
at least until the water gets up to your belly fur. I'll go with you, but really,
you shouldn't need to worry."

Bramble shrugged.
"I guess..."

Shardkit was quiet for a moment,
then she let out a squeak as she opened her eyes.
