Luckily, her claws sank into the animal and she killed it swiftly before it could run away. Soaringcrane bent down to lick her between the ears. "That was a nice clean kill. Perfect, just like you." He added the last senetence in a murmur. "However, Crestfeather you need to watch my muscles flex." He bragged as he caught the scent of a wood mouse. He got into a hunter's crouch and crept forward, trying hard to keep his tail just a hair off the ground. Licking his lips, he sprung forward and dove paws first. The mouse let out a squeak causing a bird behind Crestpaw to fly away. The tan cat brought his kill to his mate.

Well, he threw himself at her. It was a lunge more like. Hopefully the move she had been expecting. Or at least a move like it. Weaselshade while he flew through air, realized something. Did Thea know how to fight? He was a moon older than her, though he shared no training sessions with her in apprenticehood. Since she was a forever queen, and a former kittypet, maybe she didn't. But she was an apprentice at one point. Therefor she would have had to have fighting practice at sometime. Then the question became, was she any good at it? Well, they just needed to wait and see.

Thea embraced herself for impact. She wasn't going to move, and when the tom did manage to pin her down, her eyes widened. Goodness! Why was he so big? She felt like she was being crushed under him. That didn't feel good...but it was better than doing Ratheart's move. Poor Lemonspotted hadn't left the nursery in a while. She was such a zombie that it scared Thea, and she always told Mothkit and Nightkit to stay away from the other queen. But, as she laid under Weaselshade the she cat purred. "Ah, I thought you'd never make your move!" She laughed, wistfully before using one of her paws to lightly graze the side of his cheek. He probably was bigger than her...but being smaller, she was able to wiggle freely from under the tom. It was a simple move, and once she was free, she shook her muscles. He definitely had muscles...that was good. She stared at the tom, hitting him in the face with her tail, "My turn?" She asked. But, she knew it was her turn. Maybe, she wouldn't be able to pin him down...but she had other techniques that she was sure would work.

Crestfeather purred as her mate gave her a lick between the ears. She reached up to rub the crown of her head against his chin and smiled, "Thank you!" The warrior rolled her eyes at Sparingcrane's brag but watched him with admiration as he hunted. My mate is the most handsome tom in the whole forest. She purred silently to herself. The Windclan warrior watched his nest kill, but her ears perked at a sound behind her. Soaringcrane's catch had startled a bird behind her and Crestfeather twisted to leap at it. It was a sparrow and she just caught the tip of its wing. It tumbled to the ground and she sloppily stumbled to it. The molly managed to kill it before it flew away, though it put up a fight. She pinned her ears back sheepishly as she turned to face her mate, who happened to be her former mentor, with her sloppily caught bird in her jaws.

It was true, eight moons of doing seemingly nothing had put on a bit more weight onto her stomach, weight that she was hoping would disappear faster than it had come on. "Speaking of time in the nursery, I saw you coming from there. Do you have kits?"
|
"Yes, I do." Earlyclaw gave a tired smile, flicking her tail over to the other side as she glanced back into the nursery. "Harekit, Sparrowkit, Cosmokit, and Jumpingkit." She blinked at Gorseflower. "Not to mention my adopted kits, Flamingkit and Hazelkit. They're quite exhausting, but I wouldn't trade them for anything in the world." She chuckled. "Eveningspeckle is such a dear, helping me out with them." She yawned, flicking her ears. "I can't believe I had another set of kits, last time I wanted nothing more than to go and be a warrior again. Once a queen, always a queen, I suppose." She frowned slightly, looking faintly disappointed. "I always thought I'd be spending my days as a warrior, settling down with a mate once I'm too old and tired to do anything else." Earlyclaw let out a dry chuckle, shaking her head. "Listen to me complaining about my children. That's not very good parenting, is it?"

Lying made her feel worse than she already did about leaving them confused and worried, but she went on talking. "The sun was really bright and I just needed some time to cool off-" Willowkit cut herself off, and sat down the rabbit. She licked her chest fur a few times, and shifted her paws. Had she said too much? Do they think I'm weird? Do they think I talk too much?

He shook his head to the pretty she-kit. Did Shen really think he was offended? He wasn't easily offended, that was for sure.
"Eh," he purred with a small smile. "It's no problem." Dipping his small head, the tom took a nibble of the mouse, enjoying the feeling of being out of the sun.
"It is pretty warm in the sun," he meowed, finding something to agree on. "Almost makes it uncomfortably hot out." The male lapsed into silence and took another bite of his mouse, looking around the clearing.

Willowkit felt relieved. Had her lie fooled him? Glancing at Echokit she wondered if he believed her too. Shaking her pelt out, Willowkit dipped her head to eat her rabbit. When silence fell between the two, Willowkit tried to think of a conversation topic. "Tell me about being an apprentice," she chirped after a few moments. "Is it fun?"

When she slipped out from under him Weaselshade wasn't surprised. She was smaller than him, therefor being able to wiggle out from under him. He should have put more weight on his pounce. However, he wasn't taking the "training" or 'fight" seriously. He didn't want to squish her. He didn't want to suffocate her. Now, Weaselshade wasn't the nicest cat, but at least he had enough sense, and love, in him to not suffocate the adoptive mother of his kits. He certainly didn't want to have to find a new adoptive mother for them. Also, he could be banished for accidental murder. Plus, Thea was annoying. Not annoying enough to kill. Weaselshade didn't kill. Especially not when the only reason was the cat was annoying. When he heard her words, he looked at her, a "Duh" expression on his face. "Yes, yes it is."

Re: WindClan Clearing
@InfernoFlicker @Lonestar23
[ Don't worry about it! That's completely understandable. Take your time! ]
If Cloverpaw had known that Obsidiansky thought she ventured over to tell him about something strange on his pelt, she'd burst out in even more hysterical laughter. She doubted she would've crossed the clearing to warn him about something weird on his pelt when there were two felines with perfectly fine eyesight right in front of him. At least... she assumed they had fine vision. Luckily - for Obsidiansky, not Cloverpaw - the red tabby apprentice was not aware of his ridiculous thoughts. However, at his comment, she looked at Obsidiansky like he was insane. Her tail had bushed out with excitement, but her eyes were wide with shock. ``How do you not know who Infernosky is? Aren't you two friends? Surely you, of all cats, would know! She's practically a legend! Not really, but she was a popular deputy who worked beside Dapplestar.`` Cloverpaw spoke as if Obsidiansky should know all this. And every fact slipped so smoothly from between the apprentice's lips, it were as if she knew everything about Infernosky, when in truth, she only knew that Infernosky was Dapplestar's former deputy and best friend.
She then rolled her eyes, muttering, ``It's history, rabbit-brain,`` under her breath before looking back at Infernosky with admiration in her amber eyes. Cloverpaw smiled, somewhat amused that Infernosky had no clue who she was. But of course, not many cats did know who she was, and the warrior before her certainly wouldn't know her. ``Like I said -`` Cloverpaw was briefly distracted by the arrival of a gray-pelted warrior. He acted like he knew Jitterpaw, Obsidiansky, and Infernosky, so she assumed they were friends of sorts. She blinked at him, waving her tail in greeting, before continuing to answer Infernosky's question. ``Like I said, I'm Cloverpaw, and my mother is Infernostrike, whose mother is Dapplestar! I'm you best friend's granddaughter! My mother, who was your namesake, told me all about you! Well, not actually, but she mentioned being named after you! It's an honor to meet the cat my mother was named after.``
Cloverpaw's eyes shimmered with awe and respect, and she even offered Infernosky a dip of her head. A small purr rumbled in her throat, as she gazed up at the the red tabby cat. Only now that her excitement had somewhat calmed down did she notice the similarities between herself and Infernosky. They both shared an identical red tabby pelt, but their eyes were completely different colors. While Cloverpaw had amber eyes, Infernosky had green eyes. And it'd be best to mention this now, but Jitterpaw looked as if she could be the lovechild of Russelfur and Infernosky - appearance-wise, that is.
