"Yeah, a lazy one especially would be hard for me. I always need to be doing something." It would be hard for Lilypaw to understand why another cat wouldn't want to work; for her, she strove to do her best every day. She just wouldn't be able to understand them, and would get frustrated really quick. In the end, the two simply wouldn't get along- definitely not the best kind of apprentice for her. She wasn't exactly patient, or even understanding in most cases.

Marigoldstream sat in the RiverClan clearing, sighing. She didn't like this, staying in this fishy-place. Literally fishy. The fresh-kill pile was stocked high with the water-dwelling creatures, a few mice or shrews scattered around. The golden-furred she-cat wasn't too hungry at the moment, so she didn't know why she was thinking so much about it. She had better things to think of. And then she immediately started daydreaming about love. Marigold was a hopeless romantic, she couldn't deny it. She loved thinking of love, and kits, and her perfect future mate. Just the smallest of signs made her think 'true love'. This usually backfired and left her heartbroken, but she just never seemed to learn to choose cats more wisely. Marigoldstream scanned the clearing, trying to make eye-contact (her go to 'sign') with a tom.

Marigoldstream's eyes met with the ones of a handsome toms, and her eyes glowed with excitement. She'd seen him around in ShadowClan, so she wasn't breaking the code, and he seemed...nice enough. Well, she hadn't really met him, but from his appearance. Was it weird to judge from that?
Not to Marigoldstream. She stood, trying to look casual, to her paws and walked towards the tom. What was his name? It started with a D, she remembered. Oh, right! "Hi!" She mewed, deciding not to say his name.
They hadn't really talked before, that'd be kind of odd. She'd need a reason why she'd just walked over and said hi, and she thought up a rapid, not too suspicious one quickly in her mind.
This was his shot! This was his opportunity! To live in the moment, to have new life breathed into him. He couldn't miss this shot. No, not at -
Right. This was Riverclan. Dream was obviously much comfortable living in Shadowclan. His actual home. Traveling to Riverclan wasn't the deal with him. He didn't like the appeal. And quite frankly, he began to remember an...old flame. Ah, Poolfeather. He wanted to avoid her! Living in her clan wasn't helping much, but with all the cats, he would blend in. That was simple. It was easy! Which was what he was doing right now. The marbled color tom had lost Pyritecrest in the fray. Being with his best friend always eased his nerves. Right now, the tom was alone. His muscles ached, but he continued to trek, throwing a smile towards every cat he passed. Dream was very friendly...when he wasn't causing trouble.

But, Riverclan was so...cramped! He needed space to stretch his legs, allowing his muscles to ripple as he walk. With every step he tried to avoid bumping into other cats. However, he didn't catch one of them looking at him. His blue eyes had been busy scanning a spacious place to relax. And, as he continued on, the other cat approached him. Dream turned to give her a questioning glance. Her scent indicated she wasn't Riverclan. Another Shadowclanners. He quickly swept his eyes to roam her form before he found her teal-like gaze staring into his own blue orbs. Dream allowed a small smile to etch on his face, almost appearing as a smirk. "Why, hello." He spoke with his usual whimsical deep tune before flicking his tail and allowing the tip to curl inwardly as his paws sunk into the moist ground. He don't recall ever seeing the feline before. Then again, that was most likely because Dream doesn't talk to many she cats. Whenever he did...things ended badly. Yet, this Molly approached him first. "I'd imagined you must be tired after the flood. How are you holding up by the way?" It was a simple question. Something casual to start a conversation as he continued to walk through the crowd of cats. He flicked his ears, hoping that she would follow him if she wanted to continue to converse. Personally, Dream never liked crowds very much.

Marigoldstream smiled at the tom, trying not to crinkle her nose at the camps fish-smell. She was a very sweet, naive cat. When she wasn't being lovesick over some random tom, she was talking with her friends. She missed ShadowClan, the pine trees giving it shade, the frogs plentiful. Here was..different. Marigoldstream was remembering when she used to want to swim as a kit, thinking the water would be nice. Age and the flood had changed that. She hated the rain, it'd ruined ShadowClan's camp! Dream looked a bit nervous, perhaps about something in RiverClan? Marigoldstream shrugged, her tail curling as she turned to him and smiled still. He wasn't with his one friend..she'd forgotten their name, Dream seemed tense, though Marigoldstream hoped it wasn't because of her. He seemed friendly, so it probably wasn't..hopefully.

She felt crowded, like the cats around her were pressing in, making the air hot and hard to breath. It was probably just her, but she didn't like this feeling. She wanted to be alone with Dream. Marigold tilted her head slightly at his gaze, eyes glowing with friendliness. She was a naive she-cat, so she wasn't sure what he was thinking. His scent made her sure he wasn't RiverClan, definitely ShadowClan. Their eyes met, and her heart fluttered slightly. Just her overly-lovesick self. Not like she could change that. She walked near him, the feeling of being closed in on still there, though less present. "Hi! I'm Marigoldstream." She mewed, her tone cheery. She still had a large smile on her face, her heart still fluttering slightly. Marigoldstream knew it may have been a bit odd, just walking up to him when they'd never spoken before, but maybe it was just being friendly. At least to Dream..hopefully it was just friendliness. "I'm holding up pretty good, it was a bit tiring." She admitted, her tail swaying behind her. He was better at conversation-starting than her, thank goodness, and she was glad he wasn't annoyed by her. She gave a tiny nod of her head, following him. She didn't want the conversation to awkwardly end, she hated when that happened.

The Molly introduced herself as Marigoldstream. She was a brilliant ginger pelted she cat, not terribly bad to look at. She was certainly gorgeous. One thing Dream knew - he had an excellent eye for meeting such mollies. When she introduced herself, he dipped his head in a friendly gesture towards her. Normally, Dream was abrasive. A bit insensitive. Alright, not a bit, but he was a lot insensitive. But, he could be nice! At times..."Dream." He simply says in a casual greeting. The marbled tom began to walk away, feeling her close in next to him. "It's pretty cramped here, huh?" He snorted. His tone had been displeased, more so as he looked at a few of the Riverclan cats eyeing them. Dream flashed them a grin, his tail flicking irritably.

As they continued walking, Dream's heavy paws deepening into the moist ground, the tom turned his ears towards the she cat, nodding at her words. "Oh, tell me about it! I'm exhausted." He gave an exasperated sigh before he found the perfect spot to relax. As he approached the shubbery, Dream was finally happy to sit down. He used his tail to pat the spot next to him, hoping she would receive his indication to sit next to him. "Although Riverclan wouldn't be my...first choice of a new home." His claws were itching. His pelt was itching. Every part of him felt like there were ants under his pelt. He knew Fawnpatch was here, comfortable in the nursery perhaps and nursing those kits. Dream didn't like to claim him as his own. And, Poolfeather...surely she had kits. Dream felt himself clouding over for a moment. In a deep daze. Normally he never thought about the mothers, but something about Riverclan brought him into a deep trance. Blinking his eyes, he turned his head to stare at the molly. "So, what made you come and want to talk to me?" His voice was gruff, giving her a questioning glance. There were plenty other cats around, but he caught her gaze. He wondered why. He seen her around before, he just never talked to her. But, why did it take for them to have their home flooded, to travel to another home - in order for her to talk to him? It didn't make any sense!

"Yes, it does," the young kit exclaimed as she moved quickly- however, a bit too fast for her young feet, as she wasn't quite coordinated yet. It hadn't been too long since she opened her eyes and took her first steps, after all, so it wasn't all that surprising when she tripped over her own paws and fell right into the mud. Quickly springing up with a scrunched up nose, due to the smell of the icky stuff, Palekit shook herself out- only managing to get a bit of mud off before sitting next to the kit. "Hi! I'm Palekit," the young she-kit introduced, yellow eyes shining happily. "Who're you?"

(Couldn't seem to find the original post for whatever reason. It wouldn't take me to it if I tried to click the thing on the post that I just quoted.)
Mulberrykit liked the sound of this feline. When she tripped over her paws, she giggled a little bit, not out of rudeness, but the fact that she strange back up with a scrunched nose a bit of mud sticking to her pelt. "I'm Mulberrykit," She announced, allowing her smile to take up her whole face. Yay! A new ShadowClan friend! The kit jumped up from her sitting position, her eyes aglow now. "Hey! You wanna play a game?" She asked. "I love games. Maybe if we can find a mossball..." But as she looked around, she couldn't see one in sight. Odd. Who doesn't have mossballs lying around for us?

But its absence gave Mulberrykit a new idea. "I don't see a mossball anywhere... so maybe we could play find the mossball!" She jumped up, excited at the prospect of a new game. I hope Palekit likes it... I hope we can be friends! She was always looking for friends, but a lot of cats her age didn't really like hanging out with her. I wonder why... It totally wasn't the fact that she could be bossy or outspoken... "You wanna play?" She continued bouncing as she waited for the other kit's answer.

Her golden fur was smoothed against her small frame, and her eyes glowed with happiness. Dream was rather handsome, she had to admit. His fur was white with pale brown patterns, and his eyes were a bright blue. She returned the little gesture, her tail curling slightly, her ears pricked. Marigoldstream was naive, often seen daydreaming, so she didn't know of his past 'flings' with other cats. He seemed nice enough, mostly because they'd never spoken before, and she just wanted someone to talk with. "That's a nice name." She mewed, pretending she hadn't already known it. Why did she know it? She must have overheard it somewhere. "Yeah, way too many cats." Marigoldstream mewed, looking at the large cluster of mingled scents, ShadowClan and RiverClan fusing together.

The ground squished under her paws, soaked. Marigoldstream found it odd-feeling as her paws sunk into it, leftover water soaking her fluffy paws. "Yeah! It felt like it took forever to get here." She agreed, longing for the comforting smells and non-squishy ground of ShadowClan. She followed, catching the gesture and sitting besides the tom, glad to find a nice place to rest. "Yeah, I'd rather go to ThunderClan. At least they've got some trees and normal prey. Maybe WindClan, but it'd be a bit too..open." Marigoldstream shrugged, her tail sweeping over her paws as she imagined what it'd be like in ThunderClan. She was loyal to her new Clan, of course, but her old one had a tiny spot in her heart. He seemed nervous about something, like he was in a daze. She knew he had kits before with..someone she didn't know, but they weren't together. She hoped not. As hopelessly romantic as she was, she didn't want to destroy a relationship. You cannot say he's hot, I repeat, cannot say he's hot! She thought. "Er- I just like talking to new cats!" She chirped. Nailed it! She cheered in her mind, smiling. It made enough sense, and she'd held her tongue from blurting out the embarrassing words, so it was a success for her. She didn't know why her heart hadn't tugged her towards this tom before, mostly because it was dragging her to everyone else before.

The molly told him that his name was nice. It made Dream hide a smirk on his maw. His name was a lot better than it had been moons ago. Well, of course he was named Dreamkit, and became Dreampaw later on. But, then he was given the name Dreamtaker - why? He would never know. He wasn't a greedy cat. He didn't take for the joy of it. Yes, he had a temper. But, who didn't? Dreamtaker was not a nice name when others repeated it aloud, so he asked for a new name. Given the name Dreamcatcher because his claws were excellent for catching like hunting. But, still even that named made him lag. So, he was still called Dreamcatcher, but preferred others call him Dream. It was nice. It was short. "I like your name too. Like the flower, eh? Marigolds might as well be my favorite." He refrained himself from purring as he complimented the she cat. His voice having a slight flirtation to it, but other than that Dream rarely flirted. He just liked to throw around compliments towards very pretty she cats.

"Agreed. My paws are quite exhausted." He stared down at them, picking them up to examine them for a moment before setting them down. "But, at least we had the opportunity to live. Not many of the cats...made it out." He cleared his throat. His voice almost became sad, but Dream was not the emotional type of cat. So, he remained stoic. A sullen face that his emotion well. Because sadness, or any type of emotion made you weak. The tom did thank Starclan that he made it out safely. He still had dreams to complete. Goals to aim for, and a life to strive in. Now, Dream didn't recognize that the molly came from Thunderclan. He seen her around in Shadowclan, but he never recognized that she was a new face within their clan. He had agreed about Windclan. The tom didn't like overly crowded places either. "Maybe Skyclan would work?" He joked. "I'd love to see what's it's like to live in a gorge." He thought aloud, suddenly began entering another trance at what it would be like to live in a gorge. With cave like dens and such. Maybe Skyclan had no problems they ever needed to deal with. But, Dream was happy to be a loyal warrior to Shadowclan. He preferred the darkness, and the trees. He preferred being that shady cat that others would never get. Pyritecrest got him, but that was because they've been best friends for many moons. "Ah, but what if there was other clans that we didn't know was out there? You know - hidden or far away, like Skyclan?" He chuckled. It was a large assumption, but it wasn't impossible. The forest was huge! There had to be others around here...suddenly she answered his question, and the simple thing the tom did was nod his head. He still didn't understand why she decided to finally talk to him after they were in the same clan before the flood. It went over his head that she did notice him before but never actually decided to come up and talk to him. What was the difference now? "Is that really your excuse?" He tilted his head at her. "Why couldn't you talk to me while we were in Shadowclan? What, are you afraid of me?" Dream was curious. He wanted to know what was this molly's deal. He didn't mind her company at all. Nor did he mind making a new friend.

Marigoldstream liked his name. Dream. She did that a lot, maybe they both did. She already liked him. Wait, was she going too fast? She wasn't sure, hopefully she wasn't! She tended to do that and scare others off. Marigoldstream thought about her name. She was called Marigoldkit for her golden-ginger pelt, later earning the name Marigoldpaw. She then got the name she had now, Marigoldstream, for her bright blue eyes. She enjoyed it, it sounded like a calm stream with marigold petals swaying in it. She wouldn't dream of changing her name. She was glad it wasn't something like Marigoldheart, or even Marigoldclaw. Those sounded boring to her. She wasn't sure why he didn't have a suffix, but didn't question it. "Yep! Your name is nice, it sounds nice." She smiled, eyes shining. His voice was flirty, though she didn't bring it up. Perhaps it wasn't on purpose.

"Yeah, it seemed to take moons to get here!" She agreed, her paws slowly getting less numb. They'd began to loose feeling a bit ago, though she didn't know when. "Yeah, I feel so bad for the families who lost others." Marigoldstream sighed, glad she survived. He cleared the emotion from his voice, making her a bit confused. Maybe he just didn't like getting too upset, which was kind of understandable. Marigold herself didn't like being sad, nobody really did. She thanked StarClan silently she had lived, she still had so much to do with her life! A mate, kits, maybe finding a few other things to live up to. Marigoldstream wondered if he realized she was from ThunderClan..no, he hadn't brought it up, so he probably didn't. She'd definitely seen him before, so they knew of each other's existance, but nothing else before this. WindClan sounded too..open and crowded, and ThunderClan, now that she thought about it, would surely recognize her pelt and eyes. Even her name perhaps, she'd left them as Marigoldpaw, but she looked exactly like she did as an apprentice. Well, taller. And more adapted for ShadowClan, but besides that the same. "Perhaps, it'd be interesting to live in a gorge." Marigoldstream replied jokingly, nodding slightly. A gorge would be interesting for sure, with all the rocks and adaptations and different prey. She wasn't sure she'd totally like it, but it'd be better than their flooded camp. She blinked, she could never leave ShadowClan! She'd already left ThunderClan, she had to be loyal to her new home. "That'd be weird." She giggled, imagining it. "There have always been 5 Clans, minus those cruel rogue Clans and the Syndicate of course." She mewed, though it wasn't impossible. The forest stretched far out, some places she didn't even know beyond the borders. It was an idea, but it just felt..weird. 6 Clans? 7 Clans? It'd always been 5, 4 without SkyClan. She probably seemed odd, just now talking to him after the flood. They were in the same Clan after all. Excuse..uh...oh! There are a ton of ShadowClan cats, bring that up! "Yep." She replied, her eyes teasing. "Why would I be talking to you if I was afraid? And like I said, I like talking to new cats, there are hundreds in ShadowClan." She replied. She wasn't afraid, truthfully, she'd just never found her eyes on him for too long before. But now, she was hoping they could be friends. Or more. You lovesick mouse-brain She sighed at herself in her mind, though she ignored it.

Default Re: RiverClan Clearing

@Chameleon ( does this work?)
Silentshade watched as Riverclan, and Shadowclan, cats mingled in the clearing. She had nothing against Shadowclan, they had no where else, but she just wanted the camp to her clan again. Looking, she spotted a silver long furred queen with two kits, and she dimly remembered a riverclan cat helping her in. Getting to her paws and shaking out her long gray and white fur, she walked over to the Shadowclan queen. "Hello," she mewed, "I was wondering if you would like me to help with the kits. My name's Silentshade." Those are very cute kits. She thought. She's lucky to have them, I'll never be a mother, but I want to. Now that Brackenheart has Clovershine wrapped around his paws, she'll be in the nursery by leafbare! She hissed in her mind. "Your kits are very cute," She complimented, sitting down. "What are their names?"
