He had always been an unusual cat, when he was young nothing seemed to entertain him as it did the other kits. But he was charming type and was easy to befriend. Or at least that's what other people thought.
The truth wasn't so simple, however. Some cats were just born different. He was one of those cats. He felt little emotion, as if they were hazed over by a thick film that kept them from getting into his brain. Thoughts would bounce about his hollow skull, about small things, how cats acted, how they looked, like mental notes except with a lot more meaning to them.
After a few minutes of staring blankly in Wildpaw's general direction, his mind somewhere else. He had been contemplating something, the memory of that something evaded him now. Not like it mattered. He got to his paws, and plucked a frog off of the fresh kill like and trotted towards the molly that he'd unintentionally been staring at. "Would you like to share this?" He placed the amphibian down on the ground and nudged it towards her with one of his small black paws.
He was lean for a ShadowClan cat, having the wiry build of that of a WindClanner and spindly legs and short fur to boot. His pelt was a deep black, with a white stripe going from his berry pink nose down his back. His tail was long and completely white as if the stripe had engulfed it completely. There was something mesmerizing about those yellow eyes of his though, it was like he was staring into her soul. Not like he was doing it on purpose.

{Tmw your forget your cat is a warrior. She's twelve moons x-x} Wildblossom looked up at the tom. Trying to be as friendly as she could. She despised cats who looked at her. But this tom was looking.. odd? Her belly felt like a stone. She caught herself staring back. "Uh- sure." She mewed, eyes looking back from the frog to the tom. Wildblossom shifted over, her blue eyes looking up at him. Wildblossom flicked her ears. Well, maybe he's just mistreated or something?

"Mistreated" wasn't exactly the word most would use in relation to Spiderpaw, but if he was being honest he didn't care much about people's opinions of him. His fur was nearly groomed and without a scuff mark on it. He looked thinner than a cat should've, even during late Leaf-fall. He looked more like a tom in the midst of a rough Leaf-Bare.
"My name is Spiderpaw, by the way." He grumbled his introduction, wiry tail flicking about as he thought about something else. He was only eleven moons old, too young to be a warrior. The youth still showed on his features, though they had lost most of their kitten-like softness. He had a narrow muzzle, almost like that of a snake. He was skilled when it came to his training, he was an excellent fighter, however his mind had a tendency to wander, which made hunting for long periods of time quite the challenge.
"Your name was erm...Wild-- something, right?" He suspected he had heard her name once or twice before. He had a sharp memory and had a tough time forgetting things.

Wildblossom looked at the tom before glancing to the side. Her expression was bored as she looked at Spiderpaw. "Wildblossom." She mewed. Her neck fur flicked up as she looked at Spiderpaw. Wildblossom let her mind wander for a moment. If she felt odd, she knew Daypaw. They would let her stay in the medicine den right? Wildblossom allowed her fur to lay flat.

Haykit sat glum in the clearing talking to herself," As soon as I'm out of the nursery I can kill myself. Only a moon of miserable life to go." She sighed unaware that any warrior would overhear.

"A young kit like you shouldn't be talking like that." Nightshade sat down next to the kit, a serious look on her face. She looked down at Haykit and stroked the young cat's shoulder with her tail. "Why are you so depressed, Haykit?"

Haykit glanced up at the warrior, discomfort of sharing her emotions filled her sorrowful heart,” Well. I mean, my mother and father, and my four littermates died in the flood when we escaped to Riverclan. I don’t deserve to live since they clearly didn’t. Starclan clearly did it as a punishment to me. So that’s why. And...if it makes you feel better. I’m 5 moons, so it’s not as bad as a newborn kit talking about this stuff...There’s nothing better for me to do than join my family in Starclan. Besides, my littermates will be angry if I recieve an apprentice name when they didn’t get an apprentice name. They didn’t even get 6 moons of life.” Haykit replied sorrowfully.

Nightshade frowned. "That's not true. Your siblings will be proud of you! You should know that I have met a kit from StarClan. She was my sister. She envied me for having a life in ShadowClan. I bet that your brothers and sisters will be happy for you. And your parents would be proud. Take it from a cat that went through the exact same thing as you are going through now. Just know that your life has value. Don't waste it." she smiled and gave Haykit a swift lick between the ears.

She paused feeling the lick on her ear,” Still...I wouldn’t grieve if I were in Starclan. And if I died, no one would grieve for me anyways. If I died, Goldenstar would announce my death, cats would just know it was a kit. Nothing more, my adoptive mother would be thrilled to get rid of me, and my adoptive littermates would grieve for me for a day or two that’s about it. I am nothing more than those cats who aren’t from the clan and spend a day to see if they want to join or not before leaving.”

Haykit's depression disturbed Nightshade. The young warrior was determined to get through to the kit. She sighed. "I would grieve for you. I have to admit, Haykit. Ever since you were born, I've had my eye on you. I've always dreamed of having an apprentice, and when you and your siblings were born, I thought that StarClan was granting my wish of being a mentor. But then the flood happened. I heard that your family had died, and I gave up hope. No cat else was expecting kits, and all the older kits already had chosen mentors. I grew depressed, and I left ShadowClan for a few days. The first thing I saw when I entered camp again was you. I was ecstatic that you had survived, and I've always wanted a chance to get to know you better. And I highly doubt that your adoptive mother would be happy. Cats do care. I was talking to Snowkit, my younger brother, and he was upset that you always looked so sad. He's always wanted to be your friend, but he was scared you would shut him out. Give cats a chance to know you as the wonderful young cat you are. Don't let grief determine what you do. Keep your chin up and always remember that at lease one cat cares about you. If you need someone to talk to or to hang out with, I'll always be available. And I'd absolutely love to be your mentor. I'd be honored to have such a brave young cat to train." she paused as looked over at the young cat. "You're one of the bravest cats I know. Not many warriors would show just how sad they are. But you were brave enough to show it, if others could just see it. But I see it. And I will help you, if you'd like."

Haykit started to feel happy about her words...but then remembered that cats could lie,” How do I know your not lying?” She asked knowing no one got mad at kits asking questions like that, her eyes slightly narrowed, but curiousity still bugged her so she glanced at Snowkit, who was looking at her Okay, maybe that much is true. She paused unsure if she’d want a mentor who’d care... I couldn’t die if she mentored me. But she seems to care about my family some I wonder if I should accept her request or not...
