Cuckootree and [Ex-Mate] have been mates for many, many moons and have had two litters of kits, when [Ex-Mate] decides to leave him and become a free she-cat. Cuckootree is obviously heartbroken as they’ve been mates for over 20 moons. He tries to steal her heart back flirting with her, bribing [TOm 1] into acting so insulting and rude that she’d realize that no tom is better than him. Then he had [Tom 2] act so disgusting (as in not grooming and farting and stuff) to make her think they are no longer flirtacious. Soon, [Ex-mate] develops a crush on [Tom 3]. So Cuckootree tells [Tom 3] lies about her saying she does ‘this’ or ‘that’ some was truthful, not all though. [Ex-Mate] doesn’t realize it was all Cuckootree’s work to gain her back. So then he learns she’s crushing on [Tom 4] and [Tom 4], so Cuckootree tells them to when she flirts, tell her they have mates. And they do. [Ex-mate] is shocked and then finally talks to [She-cat 1] who tells her that Cuckootree is scheming with toms offering them prey, training their apprentices, taking over their assignment for dawn patrol anything really to get them to lie to her. [Ex-Mate] is enraged and goes to Cuckootree. Cuckootree sees her approaching and thinks she’s ready to return to being his mate, but he’s wrong [Ex-mate] is angry that he lied. He appologized, saying he isn’t ready to let her go, but finally agrees to stop drawing toms away from her. So [Ex-Mate] takes [Tom 3] as a mate. As for Cuckootree. He remains sullen until along comes [She-cat 1] who suggested he search for a mate, but every [She-cats] he starts to grow attracted to has a mate already.
