Do I deserve forgiveness?

Algaekit and [Friend] were extremely close throughout kithood. Algaekit was often bullied by [Bullies], but [Friend] always stood up for them. However, Algaekit never really thought of [Friend] as a friend, rather company. [Friend] cared deeply for her friend Algaekit and was selfless, always putting Algaekit first. Algaekit’s [mother] never seemed to praise Algaekit, but always praised [Friend] for the simple things like fetching prey or more complex things like standing up to bullies. Algaekit, the siblingless kit always worked trying to impress [Mother] but never could suceed. They became apprentices. Algaepaw, [Friend] were invited in a hunting contest with a bunch of apprentices. The goal was to during the entire day, catch the most prey. At the end of the day, Algaepaw had the most prey. She was suppose to get to eat her last catch, but because she wanted to tell her mother, she asked [Friend] to hold it for her. Algaepaw ran off to find [Mother] who was actually proud(ish).
Meanwhile, [Friend] was waiting with the prey when [Bullies] arrive demanding the prey, but [Friend] refuses. So [Bullies] attack her, and remove one of her eyes before leaving her with the prized prey. Algaepaw witnesses the whole thing, scared to fight the bullies. Algaepaw takes the prey when it was left in her den and eats it then celebrates with [Mother] alone, [Friend] is in the Medicine Cat den, clearly. [Friend’s mother] asks Algaepaw what happened. Algaepaw shrugs it off angrily. Algaepaw learns that [Friend] has recovered and wants to go hunting. Algaepaw tells her to bug off. Algaepaw is enjoying hunting with [Mother] and finally learns that [Friend] left the clan so she rejoyces. She moves on and ocassionally thinks about [Friend] but not much. She knows [Friend] saw her witness it. Then as a warrior, [Friend] returns and tells Algaebloom she needs help in some way and Algagebloom agreed only to try and redeem herself.
