Yes, that was it, Powdernose was definitely calmer than he had been the last time. ”Well. I assume you’ll prove to be up to the task, and I have no doubt that you will do your best in this position.” He mewed politely, looking down at the deputy with a slightly more confused expression as Powdernose checked over his wounds. That’s… strange. The warriors Stonegazer spent time with rarely moved to do anything like that. They stood still, calmly, and talked of battles, upcoming tensions, and new hunting strategies. Sometimes they would complain about their apprentices.
”They’ve been healing well. Thank you for the concern.” Stonegazer felt a little awkward, but not enough to show - he had become better at hiding his emotions, especially the embarrassing ones. Such as awkwardness, or affection - he rarely felt affectionate towards anyone, but perhaps someday he would find the “right” cat. Of all the silly things warriors believed in, that was about the only one Stonegazer could agree with - that there was a “right” cat for everyone. Mates and first loves would often fall apart, but every once in a while, he would see an older pair of warriors walking around the territory or talking in the camp and it would give him just a little bit of satisfaction to see them there.

the siamese nodded silently. his eyes skimmed the ground laid beneath stonegazer's paws, a single ear flicking to show that he was listening. multiple heartbeats passed before powdernose shook his head and looked up. "we should play a game," he mewed. the words were sudden, yet they sounded as though he had thought of them for quite a while. with a snap, powdernose leaped from his position, hopping around stonegazer with a brilliant smile.
his tail twitched up and poked stonegazer in the side, laughing gently. "it'll be fun! maybe, just maybe, one of us could hide in the territory while the other has to find our place?" the thunderclan deputy's voice softened into a purr. powdernose's paws were quiet as he jumped from side to side, allowing the excited kit within him to shine through. his fur fluffed up and he closed his eyes, moving in a circle again. without watching, powdernose tripped over the root of a tree, yelping and falling on the ground. "ow," he whined, pouting with embarrassment.

A game? That remark made Stonegazer’s ears perk up in curiosity. He glanced at Powdernose almost uncomfortably, like that was the last thing he had been expecting to hear. ”I’m not much of a game-player, in case you couldn’t tell.” He mewed dryly, not quite sure how to respond to that. The deputy seemed so excited, it was almost hard to say no - but Stonegazer had always been good at saying “no.” It was his favorite word or something, or at least appeared to be. A small smile tugged at the corners of his maw when Powdernose tripped, but he got up and padded over to see if his clanmate was alright. ”You should be more careful,” He scolded at first, but his expression softened slightly as he nosed at the other tom, trying to push him upwards. You are okay, aren’t you? The remark was close to concerned, or at least as close to it as Stonegazer would ever be… he wasn’t concerned often, the cats he hung out with could take care of themselves and the other warriors weren’t cats that he cared about more than clanmates. He supposed Powdernose wasn’t either, but… still… the younger warrior was the closest thing to a friend the tom had made in a while.

powdernose let out an embarrassed huff, ears flattening. his tail lashed and he lifted himself to his paws, shaking his fur out. "i'm fine," the deputy grumbled, eyes cast downwards. he sat down and groomed debris from his pelt, lips curling at the taste of dirt. "whatever. either way, playing a game may help you to stop being a stu-" powdernose cut himself off with a cough. "it'll allow you to be more relaxed. maybe i may even get a smile out of you," he purred with a smirk, head tilted to the side.
his gaze brightened into that of a pleading look. "please? for me?" the words were said half-jokingly, though powdernose was being serious. he enjoyed time spent with stonegazer, even if he humiliated himself in front of the tom.

"S-s-seriously!?" Lambpaw yelped sincerely surprised that her sister had been right, "I o-oh wow! T-that's really big." She chirped still shocked by the image how huge a conch shell could be pushing the thought from her mind however she smiled, "I s-suppose~" She purred suddenly very enthusiastic over what Seastones would look like.

For a second or two, the mentor went over his words and how he would put these sentences to make the youth understand what he was trying to get across to her. “As your teacher, young one, I am going to teach you many things - perhaps some things that nobody else will truly teach in your coming moons, but you must understand-” The Burmilla remarked, glancing at her with a stern gaze, “It will take a lot of mustered hard work and determination in order for you to become a warrior, Sparrowpaw, at least - one that I can be truly satisfied with in the end. Throughout your life, you must learn that there will be cats that you cannot please, no matter how hard you work at it or how much blood, sweat and tears you put into your everyday routine.” It sounded harsh for the apprentice’s first day of training, but he wanted to make sure she wasn’t some scared little mouse. “If you are willing to cooperate with my methods of teaching you, no matter how tough and backbreaking they will seem at times, you will become a warrior that anyone, even your mother in the stars, proud. I will make you stronger and faster than any other apprentice in all of this fox-brained forest and they will see your true potential as I take you under my wing.” That made a gentle smirk slip onto his expression. “I will not baby you like a kitten through your training and I want you to be prepared - because not only will you be striving to impress me, you are striving to impress all of Thunderclan. I am curious to see how your future training will go, but for now, let us return with our previous lesson so that we aren’t here until nightfall.” Flintheart was fueling his rage over not becoming deputy with willpower to make young Sparrowpaw into a cat that you come out on top and be seen as the best. He had succeeded with Ebonystrike’s training, despite the fact that their personalities were vastly different - he welcomed a challenge. “The third rule of the warrior code should be seen as common sense to anyone, at least that is my opinion about it - Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors. Unless they have permission, apprentices may not eat until they have hunted to feed the elders. If any warrior or apprentice is sick or injured, they may eat while the elders, queens, and kits are eating. Do you understand that?” The taller tomcat asked her, making sure she had processed all that he had said so far before continuing.

Sparrowpaw listened to her mentor intently, her hazel gaze focused on him, her ears perked as he spoke. She wrapped her tail over her paws, nodding as Flintheart continued to talk. Once he fell silent, she glanced up at him. "I perfectly understand, Flintheart. I will work my hardest to live up to your potential... I will strive to become the warrior you want me to become. I hold you in high regard, Flintheart. And I want to do my best to impress you." She looked down at her paws a moment, then gazed back up at her mentor, a determined frown forming on her face. "I am not some weak, fearful, mouse-brained kit, and I am ready to prove that to you." She flicked her whiskers, nodding as he spoke again. "I understand, Flintheart. I am not one to give in to cravings anyway... I don't usually eat a lot." She pinned her ears back on her head as a cool breeze blew by, and she ran her pink tongue over her forepaw before drawing it over her face and ears. She then brought her tail to rest over her paws again as she perked her ears, listening to the soft melody of birdsong. She smiled as a cardinal began to sing a lovely tune, and the young she-cat closed her hazel eyes, humming along. She then opened them as the bird went silent. She gazed a rabbit nearby, watching it nibble on some grass. The she-cat then gazed at a nearby squirrel, moving around while holding a couple of nuts in its paws. She blinked at her mentor, waiting for him to speak again.

Erminewhisper tended to jump into things before she looked - she worked off of impulses. It was better than overthinking things, but not… great. Not for a full-grown warrior, anyways. The day would come when Erminewhisper would pick the wrong battle and she was going to get herself into a whole load of trouble. Of course, by that time, she would be a lot older and wiser and know more ways to talk herself out of it. With her natural charm, that was. It wasn’t long before the area began looking more and more like the one her “hidden gem” was in, and Erminewhisper had to slow down a little more. She had to pay more attention to her surroundings now, or they were going to miss it. ”Pssht. So impatient, aren’t you? But yeah, we are….”
Her voice trailed off and she quickly ducked off to the side, taking a few steps through the brush until she found the place she was looking for. The hollowed, dead stump that was the perfect place to think, or to talk, or to do… anything, really. Erminewhisper was planning on using this the next time she wanted to play hide-and-seek or something. ”Here!” The she cat called back, her voice ringing out cheerfully through the woods as she glanced back to see if Passionstar had followed her. Erminewhisper wondered how Snowstar had picked her friend to be deputy. Not that she thought he would be a bad one, but he had always been just… well, Passion. The same old goofy furball that she had known for a long time, and she’d never thought about what would happen if one of them was actually placed into a position of power. She hadn’t been kidding about the whole ‘him ignoring her’ thing either… Erminewhisper wasn’t going to be pushed to the side.
If he couldn’t make time for her, then she would figure out times for him. And if that didn’t work, well… she would figure out some other way to get his attention. If it failed in the end, Erminewhisper would have to move on. Not be too devastated about it - cats moved on, plans changed, and everything fell apart in the very end. But not her and Passionstar. They hadn’t fallen apart so far, and she would be surprised if it ever happened. ”This is my hiding hole, I guess you could call it. So if you ever need to hide from someone… except for me, because obviously I’ll find you… feel free to use it,” Erminewhisper remarked, that same smile on her features as she spoke. She was excited to show this spot to him. It was a special spot - but he was a special cat to her, so it evened out in the end.

Erminewhisper’s seemingly threat caused Passionstar to dismiss it with a flick of his ears. Except the part where she mentioned honey. The tom had licked his jaws, imagining the sweet, sticky substance on his tastebuds. “That sounds like a punishment well worth it,” he responded. Except the bugs part. Passionstar had nothing against insects, but imagining them stuck to his pelt or eating him alive because he tasted so sugary sweet, made him shudder. “Besides,” Passionstar began, his eyes focusing to the roof of the trees, where the sunlight filtered magnificently - in his opinion. Why did nature hold such uncanny beauty? Why did it appear so perfect? No distortion, torment, or torture. Occasionally, the earth tested the patience of the forest and a nature disaster struck, but Passionstar always saw the forest regain its strength after every tragic event. It held a resilience, almost like him, as he allowed himself to believe most of the time. “You can’t blame everything on me! I was a deputy - I was always busy! But, what about you? After doing duties, you couldn’t just take time out your schedule and hang out with your ol’ pal, Passion?” Passionstar felt that he was getting that a lot. Not only from his close friends, but as well as his family members. He didn’t think that he would be too busy for any of them when he received a change of position. Now, the sudden thought dawned on him; Becoming leader...will that make my relationships better or worse?
Shaking his head to rid the thoughts, Passionstar didn’t allow such worries to interfere with the time he was spending with Erminewhisper. The ginger tom continued to badger her with the simple ridiculous question; Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Erminewhisper’s voice confirmed the fact that they were, indeed, at this little gem that she discovered within the forest. Evidently, Passionstar figured other cats found this as a isolated hidden gem as well. The forest was a large place. Heck, he even had his own hidden gems that he loved to retreat to. Following Erminewhisper, Passionstar had bumped his head on a low branch, hissing at himself. “Well, well, Well,” The tom hummed deeply. “You look like you out did yourself, hm? Quite the cozy place you got here.” He complimented, then started to survey the area to remember if he ever been around this place. Passionstar had always been an active tom. He never stayed in one place for far too long, or he’d become extremely irritable.
Passionstar sniffed around the stump, his mind trailing to the wonder of the life that this tree used to have. He wished he could had seen it in full view. He would had loved to figure out the mystery of the breed of the tree it once was. Padding towards the front, and sticking his head into the entrance, Passionstar looked around. A mingled of scents flooding his scents. Most notably, small prey. “It looks like a really relaxing place. It’ll be awesome for an open field, then you’ll be able to sit inside this stump and watch the stars.” Passionstar had directed his attention back to his company, his expression leading more into a dream-like one. It almost sounded like his voice was deemed romantic, only how the way he was going about it. “I wouldn’t need much of a reason to hide from you, do you think?” He snorted. Getting up, he circled around his friend playfully snickering, “Unless you give me a reason to. I got some hidden gems of my own, you know. I’m not planning on showing them to you, though - wouldn’t want you finding me, now would I?” He laughed. Throwing his best friend a lopsided grin, Passionstar made his way back over to the stump. He heaved himself up top, plopping down and overlooking the area. It wasn’t high, but it still made him feel that he was on top of the world.

The older tomcat released a gentle, almost relieved sigh at the sound of his apprentice’s words, kneading his claws into the moss underneath him once again. “Good to know, Sparrowpaw. I know that you’re still young and just getting into training with me, but I want you to understand that I wouldn’t be so hard on you if clan life wasn’t so harsh to those that aren’t prepared for it.” He made a softened turn of his head to look at the smaller feline beside him on the fallen log, “My mentor and father was ten times worse to me when I was your age.” He trailed off after that, not going into the subject anymore than he had to right now. “It is wise to not eat more than you should, but please remember to get a meal now and then,” Flintheart quietly warned her, hoping that she wasn’t starving herself or anything drastic, but he was pretty sure that she wasn’t and he was just putting too much thought into it, “You’ll need food to be strong once your hunting and battle training come along, you know.” He went silent for a moment or so as the two of them admired their surroundings, from the calls of birds to the rustling of bushes. “The next two rules of the code are simple and easy to remember - prey is to be killed only to be eaten, thank Starclan for it’s life and kittens must be six moons before they are made apprentices.” He decided to do those two rules at once since they were short and to the point - also hoping that this lesson wouldn’t last until it was dark. “Do you know what the tradition that every newly-made warrior goes through once they receive their name is called, Sparrowpaw?” The mentor asked the youth, hinting towards the next code of warriors.

Coldheart was walking around the cave feeling worried for some reason, her apprentice was late but more late than ever. She sighs softly and looks at the entrance waiting for her to just pop in and say sorry but lately the apprentice was being a bit.... much. She sighs softly again, she wasn’t used to this at all but she’ll try.. she has to.

Lambpaw walked into the training cave holding herself as high and mighty as possible safe to she was the tiniest bit cocky over the fact that not one but- two fully grown warriors had stuck up a friendship with her. And not she-cats oh no but- toms! She then giggled before stopping once she saw her worried mentor, "O-OH C-c-c-coldheart I -aam so s-s-sorry for b-being late! F-F-Ferretpelt took m-m-me on a-a-a-a walk a-nd we l-lost track o-of time!" Lambpaw sarcastically yelped not one bit scared of her mentor anymore, "B-B-But for a-all the t-t-trouble he d-d-did give m-me this b-beautiful f-flower crown!" She gushed thinking about the tomcat with fondness. @Broken Madness
